Great book
First by this author and i really enjoyed this story with Sarah who owns her own cute little cafè and Jamie a hollywood actor. Do two opposites attract? Sarah has had a lot of heartache in her life and cannot face anymore. Jamie is set to prove that he’s not just acting while he learns how to bake under Sarah’s guidance, a flirty exchange between the pair and we’re soon seing fireworks
This is the first book I have read from this author and I plan to read the entire series. Ms. Kissett’s writing style is easy and enjoyable and her cast of characters is wonderful. I love the Chill Hour with her gal pals. We all know how important our girlfriends are to us and I can’t wait for each of them to have her own story. There are also plenty of other books to be written about the Santino brothers. This book is just the beginning in what I imagine a wonderful feel-good romance series should be. A cute baker/chef, Sarah and handsome movie star, Jamie meet at his family’s winery where chemistry just happens! So ladies, relax, pick up a glass of wine and start reading. Kate has some stories to tell!!!
I have read this author’s newer books but had the opportunity to purchase this her debut series so I was all in. While this is a series it’s standalone with carryover characters which is nice because no cliffhangers or need to read on. Although I can say the series does get better. There is some steam and detailed scenes and language but they don’t take away from the story. It isn’t a favorite because of Sara. Really got tired of how whiny and insecure she is. I can say she does get better as the series progresses. This one didn’t really do it for me but it was good for a debut novel. I look forward to more.
Finding Love
Sarah move to Napa to be with friends and start anew with a little bakery after she found her ex boyfriend and her accountant messing around in her old bakery. Jamie comes from a wine makers but he is a actor. He is going to work in Sarah’s bakery to learn technique for his movie. But it turns into so much mote.
Love at Last is a contemporary romance, which is a joy to read. The story is sweet, and the attraction between Jaime and Sarah is fun to watch unfold. They’re all over each other like a pair of horny teenagers.
Jaime, as my Grandmother would say, is a complete dish. Sarah is portrayed as a strong woman but seemed to constantly run away from her problems. This dragged the plot out a little for me, but there are some lovely scenes, which made the book worth reading. I particularly enjoyed her interactions with her co-worker, Manny, and the Chill Hour(s) spent with her friends.
This is a light and breezy story with some steamy moments, but not too explicit.
Sarah and Jamie’s love story is fun and realistic. I also really enjoyed the friendships amongst the girls and can’t wait to learn more about the rest of the Santino boys.
Such a sweet fun book.
I loved Sarah and Jamie’s story.
I connected with Sarah in many ways, I probably would’ve given a reason to Jamie either and just jumped to conclusions, I pretty much disliked Nikki from the start.
Very excited to read the next book in this.
Just A Kiss was such a great story! I loved the Chill Hour the ladies had each day to drink wine and talk about their lives. The author really kept the Sonoma culture true to reality, which I really liked. I loved the romance between Sarah and Jamie and can’t wait for Danica and Juliet to get their stories.
sweet, fairly clean romance that was quick pretty quick read. Sarah had preconceived notions about Jamie which proved to be wrong.
The pace of the book was pretty steady. It was a nice read with the exception of one thing.
I found myself being extremely irritated at Sarah. Instead of behaving like an adult and confronting the situation, she ducked, ran, refused to have a conversation or communicate with Jamie. Pretty childish behavior for someone who managed to start over from a bad situation and open her own business.
Still, I would recommend you read this and draw your own conclusion.
I enjoyed this story. Sarah and Jamie make a good couple. I was rooting for Sarah to find happiness the whole book.
Such a sweet story that I truly enjoyed. Sarah Dupont is a pastry chef who lost everything after she found fiance’ screwing her accountant, literally. Her friends get her to move to Sonoma Valley, and 6-mos later she’s the proud owner of Vine Cafe’.
Jamie Santino is one of the HOT Santino brothers, he’s an actor, and needs baking lessons for his upcoming film. Sarah agrees to hire and teach Jamie how to make pastries and run a bistro. Their connection is hot right from the start. There are ups and downs in their working relationship turns into something more. Can Sarah trust that Jamie is not acting and his feelings are true? Pick up this sweet read to find out more.
