My first impression of him: Rude, hostile and a huge jerk … with a sexy booty! He was the one who called ME to sell his huge array of antique stuff. But when we get into an argument with him calling me cheap, it was clear he regretted even finding our little shop. And after this first encounter with the guy, I thought I would never again lay eyes on that delicious ass.But like always, fate had a … ass.
But like always, fate had a way to intervene where it should not. Especially when I discover a secret box in one of the many antique pieces of furniture I picked from his place.
It was old and the secrets contained in them too precious … so I asked him to over to my place to pick it up … who knew this would end up with him kissing me in my own bathroom right in the middle of the night!
This is the third and last book in the steamy romance series, Rules of Love and can be read as a standalone. No cheating. No cliff-hanger. And the kind of ending you will just love. Team HEA all the way!!

This book was really wonderful and the combination of plot and characters really are wonderful for the type of books you are writting.

This book could have been more in depth. It seems like the relationship was glossed over. I don;t feel that the Laney and Hector’s relationship had a chance to develop…it moved to quickly. Also, there were a lot of unanswered questions. Overall, I feel that this book had great potential but did not fulfill the promise.

Laney, Raven and Charlotte are best friends, business owners and family. When one of the ladies has a rough patch, they all feel the pain. Laney seems to have crap for luck when it comes to men. When she gets nominated to go out on an antique pick several hours away, she’s not thrilled. Arriving late, butting heads immediately and feeling the loss that her client, Hector, is feeling makes things go badly. Second try and sparks fly but the trailer gets filled and off Laney goes but not for long. A mystery box, late night travels and lust make Hector run for the hills. Time, calming down and truly feeling the connection leads them back to one another. Can physical attraction mean something and a relationship survive the old school mentality that Hector has? Fate, Karma, Love! Who knows what or why but things can work out.

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this story. I love when I discover a book that does not follow the typical romance formula. Lindsey Hart did a great job of showing that men can be sensitive and women can be strong without being overbearing. Hector was broken from so much loss in his life AND he showed his emotions! Laney had her own baggage from relationships but she was also independent and willing to go after what she wanted. I loved that Hector was the one that showed restraint and some old fashioned tendencies. “I was raised that it should mean something.” There were some definite steamy moments as well. Hart’s use of descriptive language was also beautifully done. ” This was definitely my favorite in the Rules of Love trilogy!
Laney is an antique store owner with her friends. She purchases pieces from Hector. Romance blooms, as Laney pursues him.

I loved it. Hector recently lost his grandmother, now he was being forced to sell the farm where he had lived all his life. He was hurting, desolate, lonely, sad, and so in need of someone important in his life. He met Laney and was scared of how she made him feel. He just knew he wasn’t good enough for her so he did everything to drive her away. The more she tried to help, the more he distanced himself. Their relationship was angst-driven. If ever two people needed anyone, they did. I urge you to read Love Antique by Lindsey Hart. It is a beautiful love story.
