My first impression of him: Rude, hostile and a huge jerk … with a sexy booty! He was the one who called ME to sell his huge array of antique stuff. But when we get into an argument with him calling me cheap, it was clear he regretted even finding our little shop. And after this first encounter with the guy, I thought I would never again lay eyes on that delicious ass.But like always, fate had a … ass.
But like always, fate had a way to intervene where it should not. Especially when I discover a secret box in one of the many antique pieces of furniture I picked from his place.
It was old and the secrets contained in them too precious … so I asked him to over to my place to pick it up … who knew this would end up with him kissing me in my own bathroom right in the middle of the night!
This is the third and last book in the steamy romance series, Rules of Love and can be read as a standalone. No cheating. No cliff-hanger. And the kind of ending you will just love. Team HEA all the way!!

I was granted an ARC of Lindsey Hart’s “LOVE ANTIQUE (Rules of Love Book 3)” via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
I gave this book 4 1/2 stars. It was a good book, not my favorite of the series but it was still a good story.
This is book 3 in the Rules of Love series.
The story was about Laney one of the friends that works at the antique store.
She’s had poor luck in the love/relationship aspect of her life. The business is a successful one, it’s booming actually, and she has her own condo and money to take care of herself, what’s missing is a nice man in her life – she’s given up on finding her soulmate, as her friends have found theirs. Her mind is at peace with that!
Then here comes Hector with his rugged, and closed of manner. He is actually alone in this world, and morning the pass of his grandmother. He grew up in the farm with his grandparents, but now that they’re both gone he has no choice but sell the it, because he can not afford to sustain its upkeep. . He is devastated that he has to sell it! He calls the number on the ad about a shop that buys antique furniture and here is where the fun starts, the sparks fly as soon as Laney pulls into his driveway an hour late, and they come face to face the very first time…great chemistry!!!
Fate is a funny thing, and it works in mysterious ways. They were meant to be together, he needed her to comfort his broken heart, and she new right from the start that he was the “one”. It just took him a little bit of time to realize that himself.
This was a sweet love story, emotional charged romance. There is sorrows that need healing, fierce love, Forgiveness. Great characters that we got to revisit. The heat level I would say was mild. The ending was great, a HEA!
I really love Lindsey Hart, and I will read anything she writes…… I do recommend this book.
Love Antique (Rules of Love book 3) is about Lainey, the last of her 3 friends to find love and Hector, who needs to sell his grandparents farm. The book has a nice flowing plot, and strong characters.

A enjoyable and entertaining romance story. It is a standalone that is the third book in the Rules of Love series. The characters are interesting, stubborn, have amazing chemistty, instant connection, are insecure, and don’t feel worthy of love but crave it nonetheless. This fated push and pull relationship leaves you on the edge of your seat through Laney and Hector’s fast paced relationship in hopes of a HEA.

Not only was this a fast paced read but the relationship between Laney and Hector moved at the speed of light.
Laney, a part owner of an antiques store ends up meeting Hector, who wants to sell his families old furniture.
When the two meet its instant chemistry but Hector who has emotional baggage that could fill several storage rooms full tries to push Laney away telling her that he isnt good for her, but the stubborn woman doesnt give up on the loney man as she believes that fate has brought them together.

Loved the story and the characters. Hector lost the last of his family. He was left the farm, when he was trying to sell the farm, he was told to clean up the shed. He rings an antique store to come and have a look at them that he was selling all of it. Laney is a Co-owner of an Antique store they buy and restore to sell, that is when Laney and Hector finally meet, Hector didn’t want to go to the shed that housed the antiques. Hector really didn’t want to sell but he had to. The chemistry between Hector and Laney wow I had goosebumps reading.
Thank you so much for this opportunity to review this book.

Unexpected Love!
The tumultuous romance between Laney and Hector is quite compelling. A quick easy read and very enjoyable with a great HEA! Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Beautifully written, well-developed, emotionally deep, and heart melting! It is drama-filled, funny, and witty; a fun fast pace page-turner that is intriguing with some ups and downs. Amazing characters who are deep, strong, and just perfect for each other; the chemistry between them is intense, instant, and hot! The ending is very satisfying. I strongly recommend reading this series.

Hector is use to a solitary life. He grew up with old fashioned grandparents and worked on their farm all his life. He has to come to grips with his sorrow and pain to sell the farm to survive. Laney is assigned to assess his antique furniture that he has to get rid of. Their meeting was not ideal and Hector was projecting his anger and pain onto Laney. But then she figured out that he was suffering from the loss of his family and his home. Through it all there was an emotional connection between them. The story covers their difficult interactions and how they rose above it to become a couple that would not give up on each other. There is no WOW factor in this story. It is just a gentle and sweet romance that is quick and easy to read. A very enjoyable book. I do recommend it.
2.5 stars. This third book in the series was my least favorite. Laney is Co-owner of an antique store and Hector is in desperate need to sell his late grandparents farm and antique furniture. At the first meeting Hector acts like a real jerk and is very hateful toward Laney, although he is the one who asked her shop to make an offer on the furniture. He resents having to sell everything just to survive. Apparently he has no skills other than working the farm, and his education ends after 12th grade. Laney feels a real connection with him regardless of his rudeness.
The biggest problem I have with this book is the lack of continuity. Hector’s age is revealed to be about 30 although his parents, who died when he was an infant, have been dead 39 years. Huh? Next is when they have their first sexual encounter. Laney arrives wearing a shirt, tank top and leggings. However, when Hector is undressing her, she is wearing a dress. I understand that misspelled words aren’t unusual in an ARC, but this is inexcusable.
The epilogue jumps six years with a sweet ending, but we never know if the couple are just still living together or actually get married.

Love Antique is a quick and easy read. It’s the third book in the Rules of Love series, but can be read as a standalone. Laney and Hector have a pretty fast paced relationship but it seemed like fate. Hector was raised by his grandparents and is a little old school. He has no family left and is all alone. Laney is part owner of an antiques store and meets Hector when she goes to his farm to buy old furniture. Their first meeting doesn’t go the greatest, but neither of them can deny the chemistry and attraction they feel.
Laney had to do a pickin that was and hour and half away, when she got there she couldn’t believe her eyes of the antiques sitting in a barn. Hector was making it difficult for Laney and so she decided to leave and left her business card laying there. Two days later Hector decides to call and have Laney come back to get the antiques. Needless to say her UHaul was filled when she left. She absolutely loved the one dresser with a mirror and when taking out the draws she found a box. Deciding to take a look she sees a wedding ban set for a man and woman. She immediately calls Hector and he decides to come right away. After having coffee and sweet treat they decide for Hector to get a shower and spend the night in the guest room. The plan didn’t go accordingly to Laney as Hector grabs his clothes and boots and leaves. A man that values was taught to him by his grandparents has a lot of obstacles to cross and to have a change of heart. Together Laney and Hector make a life together and get the HEA they both wanted.

Stirs all the emotions.
Love Antique by Lindsey Hart is an emotional story with captivating characters who have very strong personalities, misunderstandings and conflicts, and a few surprises. This story will take you on a journey of all the emotions. The events are realistic and the characters feel genuine. You can’t help but feel empathy for Hector and Laney and really root for them to find happiness.
The story flows well with many details, however there are a number of misspellings/wrong word form used/grammatical errors and a couple issues with continuity. I was confused about Hector’s age, at the beginning we are told that his parents have been gone for 39 years, that would mean that he is 40 years old or close to it, but later in the story he says he is nearing 30 (the older age does seem to fit his character and behaviour more). Another inconsistency occurs when Hector and Laney are going to make love the first time, she was described to be wearing pants and one of Hector’s t-shirts but when he is kissing her “his hands found the straps of her dress and slid them down her arms” and “the dress fell away …. pooled around her waist”. Its seemed like the author had written this scene earlier in the book and decided to cut and paste it at this point instead, but she did not reconcile all of the details. Other than these inconsistencies, the story line itself is great and believable. It is a good read.

This story was about finding unexpected Love and making it work. This book was better than the last one in the series and it was an easy read.

The story of Laney and Hector. This is the 3rd and last installment in the series. It is a very emotional read and I liked how Laney and Hector developed through the story. The books contains lovely highs and lows and you are involved in the story the whole way. Would definately recommend this book.

This is the final book in the Rules of Love series and it is Laney’s story. Laney and two friends own an antiques store together where they buy, refurbish and sell antiques. Hector calls the store to arrange a meeting to sell his grandparents antiques after their passing. Although a sad reason to meet Laney and Hector’s first meeting was rough but a hidden box found in one of the antiques changes everything. This is a romance novel filled with heartbreak, misunderstanding and romance. The writing is good, the characters were believable and destined to be together.
Love Antique is the third book in Lindsey Hart’s Rules of Love series, and they just keep getting better. Hector is a quiet, reserved, grief-stricken man trying to rebuild his life, and Laney has come to terms with the likelihood of being alone for the rest of hers. Two lonely people trying to move forward and find a connection to the rest of the world; is Fate lending a hand? Drama & misunderstandings, unforeseen circumstances, tender hearts, and lots of steam all lead to love and a happy ending!
I received an advance reader copy of this book. I read it and am offering my honest, voluntary review.
