Love and Landscape is the third book in Lacey Black’s Rockland Falls series, a spin-off of her Summer Sisters series, but you don’t have to read that series to enjoy this one. This book is a second-chance romance between first loves, Jensen Grayson, owner of a successful landscape business, and Kathryn Elliott, the girl who broke his heart with no explanation. This couple had a history going back to high school that was cut short by Kathryn’s unexplained, middle-of-the-night departure with her family. Returning to Rockland Falls 12 years later, Kathryn just wants a fresh start in the only place that’s ever felt like home.
The chemistry between Jensen and Kathryn is still there, but old wounds and hurts need to be dealt with before this couple can move forward. Not only do they also have to deal with Jensen’s nightmare of an ex, but the truth of what happened all those years ago still has to be dealt with as well. A love like theirs never really goes away, though, and Lacey masterfully takes readers along for the ride as Jensen and Kate navigate that journey back to it. Heart-tugging, emotional, sweet and romantic, this is a must-read for any second-chance romance fan.
Love and Landscape was an entertaining and sexy addition to this fantastic series, and I finished it already thinking about the next book. I need more of this town, more of this family, and I will never get enough of Lacey Black’s small town romances. Black fills her amusing, engaging stories with endearing characters and sexy-sweet romances, and I reach for her books when I want to get lost in the lives, and loves, of a big family in a small town. Five smooches from me for Love and Landscape by Lacey Black!

A beautiful second chance romance, with all the feels, a shock twist, the cutest kid ever and our favourite grandparents!
Lacey black has done it again! Another huge success!
It’s Jensen’s turn to find his happy. After a rough divorce, and shared custody of his young son he has given up trying to move on, until his “one that got away” returns to Rockland falls!
Kate has spent her life living her mother’s dream, until she gets the opportunity to move back to her home town. She ditches her controlling mother and boring husband and makes her move!
Love and landscape is a sweet story and I have thoroughly enjoyed their journey and I adore little max!
I love the chemistry between these characters. The way they so effortlessly fall into an easy companionship, without any awkwardness, as if their time apart never happened.
The bond between father and son is beautiful and the new bond between Kate and max is so very sweet.
There is a shock twist in the tale which definitely had me reaching for the popcorn to get more of that gossip! I loved it.
Love and Landscape is the 3rd book in the Rockland Falls series and can be read as a standalone. However, you will want to read all the books in this series, because its just that darn good and the characters appear in all the books.
If you are a fan of second chances, single dad books, or small-town romances then Love and Landscape is right up your alley!
Jensen Grayson and Kathryn Elliott were torn apart years ago with Kathryn’s sudden abrupt departure from Rockland Falls. Now years later Jensen is hired to do a landscape job at the house that is filled with memories, only to find out that “his” Kathryn has returned!
You will laugh, cry, want to slap a few characters around, and cheer from your couch! Will these two find their way back to each other, or will the ghosts from their past keep them apart?
I thought for sure we would’ve had more conflict with Ashley since she was a pain in Jensen’s butt and a rival for Kate. Was a little disappointed with that point of the story line.
Overall a great read and I really enjoyed it!
Love and Landscape by Lacey Black is book Three in the Rockland Falls Series. This is the story of Kathryn Elliott and Jensen Grayson. I have read the previous books, which added to my enjoyment of this one, but I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Jensen has broken up with his son’s mother who is a good person. So he is trying to keep his Landscaping business going along with helping to keep his son Max happy and healthy. Kathryn is the girl that got away but is now back in Jensen world. Jensen is being contracted to work on Kathryn family estate which puts him in close working order with her. This has both of them bring up old feelings for each other which neither can resist for long. Enjoyed their story.
A second chance romance that will give you all the feels. There is a lot of hurt between Kathryn and Jensen. High school sweethearts until Kathryn disappeared in the middle of the night without a word.
Twelve years later and she is back in Rockland Falls but now Jensen is a single father to a little boy.
Kathryn didn’t expect that Jensen would be her landscape designer after all this time but the chemistry is still very much alive despite all the hurt. The two have a lot of stuff to navigate including Jensen’s ex wife who is very much a problem.
Fortunately things work out for the high school sweethearts and 12 years later they get their HEA!
**I was generously provided with a copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review**
Rockland Falls is one little town that is becoming so dear to this readers heart. Lacey Black brings us finally Jensen’s story and little Max was a show stealer in this book all the way to the end. It is not just sex between them but seeing them rekindle their love was sweet and romantic. I loved that Jensen is a responsible father all the way yet when it comes to his Kate he is impulsive and all about love. What really got me was that even though the love is still there so is their past of unanswered questions. The chemistry between them is much stronger than what they had before and loved seeing how it has grown so much. This is book 3 and there is still so much more in this family that is worth waiting from this talented author.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
What an amazing story. I loved every single bit. Second chance story, and it was everything.
I loved Jensen and Kate together, they was perfect together. And they deserved their happiness.
I loved how Kate was with Max throughout book.
I highly recommend this book and series.
I’m a huge fan of Lacey Black’s books, and Love and Landscapes is no exceptions. Ms. Black’s small-town romances pull the reader into the story by the heartstrings and keeps them captivated until the last page. Kathryn and Jensen’s story is no exception. The emotion and the heartache the young couple faced and the long separation caused by forces beyond their control by those who should have sheltered them is agonizing. However, the passion, trust, and love they share allows them to reach their HEA.
I’ve come to love the characters in this series like old friend, and Ms. Black does an excellent job of keeping her readers up to date on the previous couples in the series. And the book would not be complete without a visit from the inappropriate relatives, Orville and Emma. Ms. Black’s story is well structured, the characters well-developed and easily likable, and the twists and turns the couple have dealt with over the past decade though seemingly insurmountable are eventually conquered by love. I love this series, this story and anxiously look forward to the next book in the series.
When Jensen gets the new job at the home that holds all the memories and pain of his youth, he knows he must push through and get the job done. In walks the owner of that home and the only woman he ever loved. When their past collides with their present will it destroy their future? Oh wow! What can I say about this book first off… loved “just Max” Max totally captivated me. Kate and Jensen are just so perfect for each other. They are each other’s strength when they need to be. This story had so many turns in it that I loved every word. The story was so touching and I just fell in love with all these characters all over again, well, except for Ashley. Highly recommend this book and series. Definitely a must read.

Awe! The title totally fits this gem and it was soooooo goooooooood!!!
Hook worthy!
Jenson and Kate have this once in a lifetime kind of love that makes you swoon and wish like hell you have this kind of love (if you don’t already). While Jensen and Kate are awesome, it is Max who stole the entire show!! Max is Jensen’s four-year-old son and he is so stinkin’ sweet!!
It is very easy to see from the time Jensen and Kate cross each other’s paths again that they were just meant to be. However, enter Jensen’s crazy as heck ex-wife and it equals a bumpy road.
I have not had the pleasure of reading Lacey Black before this and I have to say she made quite an impression on me! I cannot wait to read her backlist of books and her upcoming creations! When reading, Love and Landscapes, I immediately fell in love with all, well most, of the characters and was able to keep focused on the book in its entirety.
It is worth every bit of a one click.
Oh wow this book had everything, angst, heartbreak, twists and so much hotness.
Jenson and Kate’s story is a sad one, resulting from what people are prepared to do to protect themselves.
Max is just such a cutie.
I can wait for the next book.
Love and Landscape is the 3rd book in the Rockland Falls series by author Lacey Black. This book is a 2nd chance romance between first loves, Jensen Grayson whose an owner of a successful landscape business and Kathryn Elliott- the girl who ended up breaking Jensen’s heart literally with no explanation when she left him and the town behind with no word. Theirs was a history that was from high school that was never resolved and they haven’t seen each other since things blew up back then. Fast forward 12 years and Kathryn is back in town. Her father has passed away and he left her the home she grew up in…but the home needs fixing up , especially on the outside. Who does she run into when she hires landscaping but her ex boyfriend and true love , Jensen.
The story is about miscommunication, true love, 2nd chances, secrets, lies, angst, heartache, fate , forgiveness, healing, chemistry, feels, romance, and steamy heat. This will have you rooting for the main characters … oh and there are some great secondary characters- Jensen ‘s little boy. Just a fantastic 2nd chance at romance read!!

I love this series so much. I just gobbled this book right up. It’s single dad Jensen Grayson’s turn. I love those Grayson siblings. I love they make cameos so I can see them enjoying their HEAs. Plus Emma and Orval pop in. I mean it’s just not the same if those two don’t show up. Kathryn and Jensen are going get a second chance at love. They finally get the answers to what happened all those years ago. Jensen’s little boy Max is so freaking adorable. I loved the scenes with him in it. Kathryn and Jensen have a ton of chemistry and it burns up the pages. I would highly recommend this book because you will have a hard time putting it down.
This was the first book I’ve read by Lacey and I will definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series. I totally fell head over heels for this sassy and fun family. And let me tell you right now that “Just Max” will absolutely steal your heart.
Jensen is trying to navigate his life, after a divorce and trying to juggle his 4-year-old son with his landscaping business. He’s worked hard to get his business up and running, and he’s really proud of his accomplishments but he spending time with his son is his number one priority. The only thing is he’s got a huge job coming up that is bringing up some ghosts of the past plus his ex-wife has this notion that the two of them can get back together.
So when Jensen gets to the new project and finds the girl who broke his heart over a decade ago, his life just got a lot more complicated.
Kate was so ready to come home. After leaving abruptly over a decade ago, with no warning, she’s finally back and ready to start the life she’s always wanted. She didn’t expect to see Jensen so soon after getting to the home her father left her in his will. Or to find out that he was the landscaper for her rejuvenation of the property. As the two start to reconnect, mysteries of what happened all those years ago start to come to light.
I totally fell in love with Jensen and Kate. First love is just sigh… And like I said Jensen’s son Max steals your heart. I love the relationship between Kate and Max. It just leaves a big smile on your face.
Such a great read! And I can’t wait to read more books from Lacey.
A beautiful second chance romance! This family is so lovable & easy to read. Jensen is a great character & being a dad made him even sexier! Kathryn coming back had me intrigued. I was so excited to see what took her away. Lacey had woven this storyline so well that there were some twists that were completely surprising. I kept turning pages, wondering where this story would lead, but also hesitant because I was not ready for it to end. The chemistry was hot between these two. The extended characters just add to each of these Rockland Falls stories, I will be sad when they end. This author can suck you in with her stories, but she can also have you laughing & crying within the same chapter, sometimes within the same page. I will say I wasn’t originally excited to read Jensen’s book, but she made me love them. I can’t say enough about the amazing writing this author can do.
I highly recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
I always love visiting Rockland Falls and Love and Landscape is a fantastic story to lose yourself in. I was completely hooked from the very first page.
Years ago Jenson and Kate were everything to each other and had their whole lives planned out then one night Kate and her family disappeared. Twelve years later and Jenson takes a landscaping job at Kate’s old home with no idea who the new owner is and he’s about to come face to face with the only girl that has really only ever held his true heart.
Once again Lacey Black has given us an amazing story, this single dad, second chance romance is definitely in my top reads of this year!!
I have been waiting for Jensen’s book since Marissa’s book! And I was not disappointed! I loved watching Jensen & Kathryn reunite and figure out if they can work past their past hurts. They needed each other and it was so beautiful! I loved this book so much!!
I just love this series. Yes, this book is part of a series, but you can read it as a stand alone. However, I’d almost wager that you’ll go get the other books. I loved Jensen and Kate’s second chance story after being torn apart years ago. The storyline just flows and before you know it, you’re done with the book. I love the low angst inside. Of course, you must have a visit from Emma and Orval. They seriously put a smile on your face. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
Awesome story!!! I’m loving this series!!! So much emotion and angst came out when reading this!!! I absolutely love Jensen and Kathryn…they are so freaking adorable!!! There’s a saying that says “if you love something set it free, if it comes back it’s meant to be”….that saying totally applies to this story!!!!
I always get so excited when Lacey Black has a new release coming out, but I get extra excited when I know we are going to see previous characters from past books. I was not really sure what we was going to get with Jensen’s book, but as usual I am not surprised with the outcome. Jensen and Katherine’s book was so sweet and cute. Throw in a curious 4 year old, and it is that much better. Their story was light, and it showcased in the true sense of the word what a soul mate truly is. The chemistry felt right, the longevity of their history speaks for it’s self. The development of the story flowed nicely. Overall, this was a wonderful read.
Jensen is as blue collar as they come, a landscaper with the perfect designs. His life revolves around his business and his son. He is not a fan of confrontation, and prefers to keep the peace.
Katherine is different than any heroine that this author has wrote. She is way more subdued. Her personality is not big and bubbly. She is quiet and reserved, and embarrass’ easily.
Does Jensen and Katherine have the option for a second chance? Or is there too many outside forces making sure that doesn’t happen?
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
