Three sweet Regency romance novellas set during the Christmas holidays…Two sisters, Katie and Jane, and their impoverished cousin and companion, Sarah, struggle with life’s constraints and difficulties to find love and happiness, despite their mother’s wishes. Won’t you join them? They need your support! Sarah’s Magical Christmas Sarah Powell is a beautiful but impoverished young woman. She is …
Sarah Powell is a beautiful but impoverished young woman. She is unlucky in love and trapped in a position she hates. Working for her cruel aunt as a ladies’ companion to her wealthier cousins means she will never find romance or happiness. Stuck in a life of servitude, she has no reason to think her life will ever change until she meets a mysterious gentleman, Mr. Charles Langford of London.
Charles Langford breezes into her life with a charming smile and a disdain for following the rules of Regency Society. Without position or title, he has no prospects but he shows her that sometimes all you need is a little Christmas magic to be happy. Everything seems to be a dream come true, until she discovers all is not perfect in love. He makes no promises for the future and her family disapproves of him.
With a future as an old maid looming ahead of her, Sarah Powell faces a lonely holiday. Can she depend on Christmas magic or is she doomed to a life without the man she loves?
Katie’s Christmas Wish
Katie Brookes is beautiful, elegant and quite her mother’s favorite. She has long been friends with Samuel Putnam but cannot understand why he has taken a step back from their acquaintance recently. It is made all the worse by the fact that she has realized that she has a deep affection for him, one that leads to love, not just friendship. Unfortunately for Katie, Samuel refuses to consider any potential future between them. Telling her to forget him, he pushes Katie away, breaking her heart in the process.
When her mother decides that it is time for Katie to marry, she insists that her daughter tries to attract the attention of Viscount Halifax, who is visiting some friends. Disappointed and broken-hearted by Samuel’s rejection, Katie reluctantly does just as she is told, only to find that the viscount is more than eager to court her.
Will she truly be able to forget her love for Samuel and accept the viscount’s proposal? Or will she be able to discover the truth behind Samuel’s reluctance and finally be granted her very own Christmas wish?
Jane’s Christmas Confusion
Jane Brookes has often been told that she is plain and uninteresting, much too quiet and therefore, will be entirely unable to find a suitable match. She has learned to keep her thoughts to herself, never truly able to share what she feels for fear of bringing down her mother’s wrath on her head.
Overlooked by her mother in favor of her younger sister, Jane keeps her broken heart to herself. Having fallen deeply in love with Viscount Halifax, the gentleman courting her sister, she scurries away to London in an attempt to find some sort of healing there.
What she does not expect to find is that Viscount Halifax has also come to London, instead of remaining with her sister.
Sudden meetings, Christmas balls, lies, deceit and a promise of future happiness all tangle up together, leaving Jane with more of a struggle than she’d ever thought she’d face. Can she work her way through it all and find the happiness she thought she might never have? Will Lord Halifax be her precious Christmas gift?

A beautiful bookset… romance, hope and love at Christmas time.
These stories are about two sisters and their cousins… a little cinderella story… a little hope for the heart… and some surprises.
A fantastic way to spent some time during the winter season.

I really enjoyed getting to know Jane, Sarah, & Katie, and of course the men in their lives. I liked being able to read about them right after the other, it gave just enough details of people places and such in the each book to let you know how they are part of the story both current and previous. I really liked hearing about Henry and hope to hear more about him at some point in how his future has turned out. I would really love to know words that were exchanged with Vicar and Mrs Brooks, oh to be a fly on the wall. Getting to know the girls, the differences in their lives, the love they share for each other, and trust between them warmed my heart, not having a sister, I imagined that is how we would have been. I do have a cousin that I call sis/cuz and we are like Sarah and Jane. This is a great clean book that will give you hope and love.

“Love and Christmas Wishes” by Rose Pearson
What a great 3-part Regency Christmas story as told in 3 novellas.. The mother/aunt Mrs Prudence Cheltham, her niece Sarah, her daughters Katie and Jane and how Christmas wishes do come true, sometimes. These are sweet clean romances with HEA endings. I was gifted an ARC copy by the author via Booksprout. I am very pleased to be able to share my pleasure in this book. Each novella is complete within itself.. but the three of them connect so beautifully … a perfect fit. This is an easy reading presentation.
I will admit that I was not sure of any happy endings… yet, I knew our author would not let us down.
Happy reading !!
Sarah’s Magical Christmas, Katie’s Christmas Wish and Jane’s Christmas Confusion make up this charming collection. In this collection you have Katie the beauty, Jane the plain and Sarah the servant and all of these ladies are cousins. Sarah knows her chance of marrying is probably not possible. Yet she meets someone and perhaps there may be a Christmas miracle? Katie too is looking for the one she adores to feel the same way. Her way is not without some major problems. Will she also get a Christmas miracle? Our last lady Jane she may feel plain and that no one could care for her, but this is a book about wishes. The stories are short and wonderful holiday pieces. They are stories that will give you a warm feeling inside and smile on your face. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a wonderful collection of Love and Christmas Wishes by Rose Pearson! I loved reading about Sarah, Katie and Jane’s adventures at finding true love and not being forced to marry, but to marry for love! Sarah was a ladies companion to her cousin’s under the employee of her hateful Aunt. Katie the youngest of the two cousins was very beautiful but her mother was forcing her to try for the attentions of Lord Helifex. She didn’t want to marry him because she was in love with her father assistant. Jane the older sister of Katie was always told that she was much to plain and quiet to make a match with anyone. Jane still fell in love with Lord Helifex but knew he was suppose to be her sister betrothed. I recommend you read these three stories of love and Christmas wishes to find out what happens with these three young ladies. Did they find love? or were they forced to marry someone they didn’t love. There are some fun times and surprises in these sweet stories… Enjoy!

SARAH’S MAGICAL CHRISTMAS: In this story, Sarah’s reduced circumstances is taken advantage of by an employer who would be her aunt Mrs. Brooks. Because of societal convention, Mrs. Brooks takes delight in belittling, denigrating and scolding Sarah at any time, in anyplace, in front of anyone. In those days, women could not be as open in their regard for a man as men could with women. I felt sorry for Sarah, as she had to endure the spiteful and cutting remarks of her aunt and the thoughtless remarks of her younger cousin Katie. The older cousin, Jane, is Sarah’s dear friend. But even with her, she cannot completely be herself. Sarah once held a regard for a young man, only to find out he did not return her regard. She was embarrassed and ashamed to face him. At a Christmas party, she met Mr. Langford. She finds herself liking him far more than she ought to, considering she knew nothing about him. One minute she would berate herself for her increasing regard for him and the next minute she was captivated by his company. It is a hard life of a young woman who is a paid companion to her cousins.
KATIE’S CHRISTMAS WISH: Katie’s mother, Mrs. Brooks, was determined that Katie make an advantageous match with a wealthy and titled gentleman. Mrs. Brooks desired the connections the marriage would bring. It would elevate her and her family into a higher social standing. Katie only has eyes for her childhood friend Samuel Putman. He is her father’s steward. When Katie finally comes to the conclusion, she has no feelings for Viscount Halifax. She thinks the Viscount actually desires her older sister Jane. When Katie comes in contact with Samuel, she confesses her affection for him. She sees that it destresses him to tell her they can never be. That she is of a higher social standing than he is. Katie tells him that is of no consequence to her. Samuel walks away telling her to forget about him. The business of the heart is a gut-wrenching thing.
JANE’S CHRISTMAS CONFUSION: Brokenhearted, Jane is invited to London by George Grainger’s sister, Lady Mary Harrows, for the little season. She chats with her younger sister Katie before she leaves and reveals how hard it is to be overlooked by their mother so that Katie can shine. Katie always knew how her mother treated Jane but never knew the depth of despair Jane felt. On her way to London, George Grainger, Jane’s childhood friend, asks her if he will ever find love like she loves Viscount Halifax. Jane responds that yes, he can. She adds although it is painful and difficult to love when the love is not returned. Viscount Halifax has been courting her sister Katie. Their mother is pushing for the match and it appears that they will be engaged by the time she returns from London. George has been a great friend to Jane and tells her that she is a beauty on the inside. That a woman considered to be “A Diamond of the First Water” is based on the shallowness of men’s hearts. When Viscount Halifax appeared at a ball in London, Jane feared he would see that she was in love with him. George was very protective of Jane and tried to keep the Viscount away from her. But the Viscount James Halifax would not be deterred. When James is blackmailed by a woman of ill repute walking around like a lady, Jane has to decide to believe him or walk away from him.

‘This is a great set of books.I recieved these great books in a set from Booksprout. This is about three young lady, the daughters of a viscount that are to be married. The viscount has taken little concern for his young daughters and their mother has set out to choose who will be best for the family financially and in society without considering whom the daughters wish to marry until it is almost too late.

This is three stories of two sisters and a cousin. In the first story, Sarah, an impovershed young lady, is now working for her cousins as a companion. Her Aunt all but hates her and she is almost in a Cinderella type situation. While at a house party, she meets Mr. Charles Langford. He is mysterious and not titled but finds he cannot think of anyone but her. As things heat up and her Aunt makes her leave her position, Charles tracks her down and confesses his love. Is Sarah willing to take the chance on love or reject it. In the second story, Katie is considered by her mother to be the most beautiful of the two sisters and all but shuns the eldest Jane. Her mother is pushing her to marry a titled man and sets her sights on Viscount Halifax. Katie, though still has feelings for her life long friend and now her father’s employee. Watching how things progress for these three is quite interesting and the characters are wonderful. Katie doesn’t need the life her mother has always wanted but will she be able to obtain it, and will Samuel finally get the girl? In story three, Jane flees to London when she sees that Katie is heading towards marriage with Viscount Halifax. She met him the year prior and hasn’t been able to forget him but does he remember? While Jane has been shunned by her own mother, others find that Jane is more than what she seems and has been told all these years. When Lord Halifax shows up in London looking for her, she is frustrated and cannot imagine he’s come for her. Though they have to overcome a possible scandal, will they be able to find happiness with each other or will it keep them apart. Overall, all three stories are well written and I loved the characters and storylines. Definately need to read in order to get the most out of the stories. I would highly recommend this collection.

Three absolutely charming Christmas romances. The stories are beautifully crafted, the three ladies are so different and unique, and the gentlemen are well thought out.

This is a collection of 3 novellas regarding 3 members of a family, one the impoverished girl working as a companion for her two cousins to make ends meet, and the two cousins themselves and how all 3 find love for the holidays. Sarah is still recovering from an embarrassing situation last summer where she was mistaken that a man of title would ask her to marry him. Katie is the favorite child of her mother, being forced to look for a man of a certain title instead of for love. And Jane, the “plain, without beauty” elder daughter, whom her mother is convinced she’ll have a hard time finding someone willing to marry her. As with all of Rose’s books, all 3 stories end with a happy ending, and this one carries a festive tone for the season to get you in the Christmas spirit. I found myself looking for time to read them by the time I was only about 10 pages in and couldn’t wait to see how they all found their happiness.
I received an advance copy of this in exchange for my honest review.

This collection contains the Christmas-themed stories of three young women for us to enjoy. Jane Brookes is the older sister to Katie Brookes, and their mother makes it very obvious that the beautiful and kind Katie is the favorite compared to plain, reserved, and unremarkable Jane. Sarah Powell is their not-well-off cousin who is treated like a servant, tasked with ordering new clothes for her cousins, organizing the packing, and having to be their tag-along companion. That alone would not have been so bad, except for Jane and Katie’s mother who made it a point to remind Sarah constantly of “her place” in the family dynamic, and the fact that she was to serve the needs of the two sisters with little hope for her own match one day. Mrs. Brookes’ daughters also were in a bad position because, despite their interest in a particular man of their own choosing, their mother insisted on interfering and making those decisions for them based on the wealth and position of the gentlemen. With the constraints of society on the girls giving them little freedom of choice, is there anything they can do to bring about a happy match for themselves? Will the magic of Christmas bring them the gift they seek?
This author is one of my favorites. I always enjoy her books, and this collection was no exception. Be sure to get a copy to read each young woman’s story and see if a Christmas miracle is in store for them. The story line is really good, the pacing excellent, and the characters are very likable. I am sure you will enjoy reading this one.
