Three sweet Regency romance novellas set during the Christmas holidays…Two sisters, Katie and Jane, and their impoverished cousin and companion, Sarah, struggle with life’s constraints and difficulties to find love and happiness, despite their mother’s wishes. Won’t you join them? They need your support! Sarah’s Magical Christmas Sarah Powell is a beautiful but impoverished young woman. She is …
Sarah Powell is a beautiful but impoverished young woman. She is unlucky in love and trapped in a position she hates. Working for her cruel aunt as a ladies’ companion to her wealthier cousins means she will never find romance or happiness. Stuck in a life of servitude, she has no reason to think her life will ever change until she meets a mysterious gentleman, Mr. Charles Langford of London.
Charles Langford breezes into her life with a charming smile and a disdain for following the rules of Regency Society. Without position or title, he has no prospects but he shows her that sometimes all you need is a little Christmas magic to be happy. Everything seems to be a dream come true, until she discovers all is not perfect in love. He makes no promises for the future and her family disapproves of him.
With a future as an old maid looming ahead of her, Sarah Powell faces a lonely holiday. Can she depend on Christmas magic or is she doomed to a life without the man she loves?
Katie’s Christmas Wish
Katie Brookes is beautiful, elegant and quite her mother’s favorite. She has long been friends with Samuel Putnam but cannot understand why he has taken a step back from their acquaintance recently. It is made all the worse by the fact that she has realized that she has a deep affection for him, one that leads to love, not just friendship. Unfortunately for Katie, Samuel refuses to consider any potential future between them. Telling her to forget him, he pushes Katie away, breaking her heart in the process.
When her mother decides that it is time for Katie to marry, she insists that her daughter tries to attract the attention of Viscount Halifax, who is visiting some friends. Disappointed and broken-hearted by Samuel’s rejection, Katie reluctantly does just as she is told, only to find that the viscount is more than eager to court her.
Will she truly be able to forget her love for Samuel and accept the viscount’s proposal? Or will she be able to discover the truth behind Samuel’s reluctance and finally be granted her very own Christmas wish?
Jane’s Christmas Confusion
Jane Brookes has often been told that she is plain and uninteresting, much too quiet and therefore, will be entirely unable to find a suitable match. She has learned to keep her thoughts to herself, never truly able to share what she feels for fear of bringing down her mother’s wrath on her head.
Overlooked by her mother in favor of her younger sister, Jane keeps her broken heart to herself. Having fallen deeply in love with Viscount Halifax, the gentleman courting her sister, she scurries away to London in an attempt to find some sort of healing there.
What she does not expect to find is that Viscount Halifax has also come to London, instead of remaining with her sister.
Sudden meetings, Christmas balls, lies, deceit and a promise of future happiness all tangle up together, leaving Jane with more of a struggle than she’d ever thought she’d face. Can she work her way through it all and find the happiness she thought she might never have? Will Lord Halifax be her precious Christmas gift?

The first story is Sarah’s magical Christmas. Sarah’s father died when she was young leaving her no money for a dowry. She becomes a companion to her cousins who are generous and kind to her while her aunt is a shrew! When they go to a neighbors house for the holiday season despite her aunts efforts she finds love. I love the characters in this book! The characters are continued in the next two stories!
The second book is Katie’s Christmas wish. Katie is Sarah’s youngest cousin. She is considered the favorite by her mother and everyone knows it including her older sister Jane! Their mother insists that Katie grab Viscount Halifax’s attention. Her mother already has the idea in her head that they will marry despite Katie not having any feelings or interest in the man. Instead she is in love with her fathers steward, Mr. Putnam. Here we learn more about Katie and how she sees herself rather than how everyone else sees her. The character is more developed in this story! We learn more about the vicar, her father and how evil her mother is and how clueless her father is. When the mothers machinations come to light the vicar is furious!
Jane’s Christmas confusion is the final book in this set! With her sister Kate about to get engaged Jane flees to London with her childhood friend, George Grainger. Jane has always been overlooked by her family! She’s use to being called plain and boring! As the oldest sister she is suppose to marry first but her mother only has eyes for the younger sister, Kate. When she realizes her sister is about to marry the man she loves she can’t take it so her and her friend George go off to London! When Viscount Halifax follows she’s is confused.
Rose Pearson knocks it out of the park again. In my opinion she is the best at regency romance. Her books have love, adventure, twists and turns and finally after the couple face many obstacles they finally find happily ever after but not before they overcome their difficulties and prove their love and devotion to each other! I highly recommend this book and this author if you love regency romances!

This three book set is about two sisters, Katie and Jane, and their poor cousin Sarah, who is also their companion. I’m these stories, they all find love, despite a very mean mother/aunt who almost ruins their chances at love. As you can tell from the title, they’re set at Christmastime. The stories were sweet, clean, well written, and I loved the characters. It was a very enjoyable read!

This is a nice, clean selection of Christmas stories which tie the characters together. They do not showcase any sex, which I find refreshing.
I enjoyed all three stories.
They do have some editing issues that need to be addressed though.

Three girls meet three gentlemen and the question is did their Christmas Wishes come true. To find out I have to read the book.
Love and Christmas Wishes is three related stories of two wealthy sisters and their poor cousin. In true Rose Pearson style they are very well written and are sweet and clean. I loved the way the stories related so you find out what happens to each heroine. Even though their mother (aunt) tried to have her way, each story ended with a happily ever after.
SETTING: A trio of interrelated novellas, certain to grab your heart and make you grab your hankie to dry your eyes as you read the stories of 3 young ladies looking for husbands among the social circle outside of London. Two are sisters, Jane and Katie, and the third is their impoverished cousin, Sarah, who has come to work as their companion. Sarah’s Mother is sister to Jane and Katie’s mother, Mrs. Cheltham, who is very particular about social status and family fortune. When Sarah’s mother married a lieutenant in the army, without title or property, Mrs. Cheltham turned a cold shoulder to her sister and her family, even after Sarah’s father succumbed to a fever leaving the family surviving on the seamstress skills of Sarah’s mother. She took on Sarah as a paid companion only due to disgrace it would bring to her if she allowed her niece to starve. However, she never lets Sarah forget her place-not a cousin, but a paid servant who is expected to earn her wage and never presume to act as an equal to her cousins.
Mrs. Cheltham plays a central role in the lives of all 3 young women, and very nearly destroys all their lives. Her greed for social standing, which she hopes to acquire by marrying her younger daughter to someone with a title, is only surpassed by her bigotry when it comes to financial standing. Thus, she dismisses out of hand Katie’s attachment to their steward, even threatening him if so much as dares to strengthen his relationship with Katie. Mrs. Cheltham has overlooked her oldest daughter in favor of the younger for years, scarring Jane’s own opinion of herself and her value. Thus warping the self image of all three young ladies, she pushes them into society at a house party, with strict instructions on how all should behave.
CRITIQUE: The first novella focuses on Sarah: her unfortunate station in life living under the sharp tongue of Mrs. Cheltham. We see displayed in her all the bad qualities of the wicked step-mother PLUS the mean nature of a woman with many prejudices. She is a great example of what NOT to be for all of us, when she publically berates Sarah, I cried, as if it were ME Mrs. Cheltham was yelling at! Luckily for Sarah, her love interest observed the action and came to console her, realizing Mrs. Cheltham was out of line.
The second and 3rd novellas are more intertwined, and although the second is supposed to be about Katie’s love interests, her mother has somtwisted things up that it truly takes the third story to work out the kinks introduced by Mrs. Cheltham’s machinations, to allow Katie and Jane to establish solid foundations upon which their futures can be built.
I found the writing kept my interest throughout, and I was fully engaged in the story. These are ‘good old-fashioned love stories’, that do work out so that all 3 young woman have their HEAs. Great reading for an evening by the fire, whatever your age.

I really liked this book. It was about 2 sisters and their cousin at Christmas, who all wish to be married. Ms Pearson does such a wonderful job of describing the 3 enjoyable stories that are all related, so I felt I was getting an extra story! I love the regency era and this was a Christmas treat. I would recommend this story to all who like to read regency romance.

Love And Christmas Wishes is such a perfect title for this collection.Rose Pearson has become one of my favorite authors. You will fall in love with the characters and find yourself becoming totally engaged. Each story has its own ups and downs on the way to its HEA. When I finished the third story, I was wishing there were more sisters so there would be more stories of the family. These novellas are very well done. Another feather in Rose Pearson’s cap!
Each of these clean love stories are very good. All three include the same family, two daughters and a cousin. Most of the characters are seen throughout all of the stories. I enjoy having characters continue to be a part of a series. It’s like seeing an old friend again.
Although they share characters and settings, each story has it’s own way of developing a relationship.
This is another great read by Rose Pearson. She knows how to write a great story that keeps you wanting to read more on the book and more that she has written. Keep up the great work.
