Nathaniel Montgomery can’t escape the pressure to be perfect, to be smart, to be successful. To live the life chosen for him–one that doesn’t include being gay. Wren Cunningham lives on the streets and does what it takes to survive. No one has ever given a damn about him, so he works with the cards he’s been dealt and pushes his dreams aside. Fate steps in when Nate and Wren meet at eighteen … meet at eighteen years old. They have one week to live how they want, to pretend everything they hope for is within reach. What they don’t expect is to find exactly what they need in each other…or to fall in love.
But sometimes love isn’t enough, and goodbyes are inevitable.
No matter how much time passes, Nate and Wren never forget. They always find their way back to each other, and that helps them make it through. It’s never been a question of if they want each other. Their love is constant and never fades. Love Always.
They’ve spent their whole lives dreaming about their future together. To have a fighting chance, they’ll need to find a different kind of strength–learning to love themselves first.
If not, their next goodbye will be their last.

What was supposed to be one week to get away from the family pressure to be the perfect son, ends up being so much more when Nathaniel has a chance encounter with Wren outside a gay bar. Although each have their own set of hurdles to overcome the two embark on a relationship that lasts past the week together. Whether it is years that go by or personal demons that get in the way the two have found their soulmate, but will life keep getting in the way? Can true love wait for the perfect moment? Or will both men be destined to be in love but also alone? This is my first book read by Riley Hart and it will not be the last. With the perfect combination of love, lust, humor and despair this is a wonderful read.
Riley Hart has STOLEN my heart! With every book I read by her, I fall deeper in love with her stories and characters. Nate and Wren were no different. They sucked me in, right from the beginning, and held my heart until the end. It’s been days since I read this one and my heart still beats so hard for them. This story isn’t easy. It’s difficult and messy and stressful and sad. But it’s also beautiful. SO beautiful. They deserve all the love in the world. And true love is worth waiting for…even if it feels like forever. Five LOVE ALWAYS stars!
Have you ever had a story that gave you book hangover. This one did that to me. I’m still trying to get back to reading order. This is one of the most emotional stories I’ve read in a long time. I don’t know if such a relationship is even possible. As I was reading I kept hoping they would get to a happy place and even though this has a hea I’m not sure I really felt happy at the end rather than a feeling of regret. I cannot imagine what it took for the author to be able to write this story. The blurb tells overall the story and I don’t want to give anything away but I feel I would have missed a lot had I not found this story.
This is a MAGNIFICENTLY written story of two men who meet in the right place at the wrong time. This is their journey to find themselves as they strive to be good enough for each other. When they first meet Wren is homeless, Nate is a rich boy looking at attending Harvard. When they part their whole outlook on life has changed. This is an EXTRAORDINARY journey. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!
Nathaniel was going to have one week to be himself, to know what it felt to be with a man. Wren hasn’t had it easy but feels drawn to the rich boy, Nathaniel Montgomery. When he agrees to spend one week with Nate, he was determined to make as many memories as he can to fall back on. Nate and Wren’s story takes in three parts, over a span of 20 years, which may be difficult for some. The first timespan made sense to me, but I have to be honest and say the second span, even though it was short, I did get a little impatient for Nate and Wren’s happy ending. Would I change anything about it though, absolutely not! I think this story played out as it was meant to. I would also suggest reading the author’s note at the end of the story. After I read that, it made me feel better. I loved Nate and Wren. I felt their connection immediately. This was an amazing story and I loved it! I do highly recommend giving it a try.
Very special, beautifully written story. I was unprepared for some of the challenges and heartache Nate and Wren had to overcome, but found myself deeply moved and completely captivated by their story. No matter what life throws their way, their love always shines through the pages.
It’s not often you come across a story where the love between the MC’s seems so inevitable, all-encompassing and epically meant-to-be as in Love Always.
This is not exactly a lighthearted read, and it has a hint of sadness running through it, but in the end it’s very much about finding love, self-worth and happiness. A gripping story that stays with you for quite a while after reading.
When Nate stumbles into Wren he is instantly attracted to him. Wren normally has issues around new people but he is equally drawn to Nate.
This is an amazing romance spanning from their teen through adult years. I liked how realistically the relationship was portrayed. Life is not perfect, and this book definitely shows it. The writing is gorgeous. The angst is balanced with heat and sweetness. A great story by a master.
