Just when Aubrey Reynolds is on the cusp of achieving everything she is dreamed of, she receives devastating news from her doctor. She is struggling with the diagnosis and the upheaval in her life that it caused, and decides the best way to deal with it is to take some time off from the movie making business and tackle her bucket list. It winds up taking her to a place she said goodbye to a few years ago, and front and center into the life she walked away from, and the guy who shared it with her!

L.P. Dover delivered not JUST another romance book, but an epic journey that shows the importance of love and it’s forgiveness. This second chance romance, is such a relatable contemporary romance, it was so easy to become consumed with each and every word that was written, which was done with perfection. The dual pov made it even more sensational. The dialogue, I can’t even put into words. This author knows how to write a book plain and simple. I can not get enough of Love, Again, and it’s characters, every last one of them. I fell in love from the very first page, but by the end I was a goner. I can not wait to dive into more books by this author.

Love, Again by LP Dover was a sweet, swoony and romantic second chance romance.
This book had humor, love and steam. The only thing I felt was missing was some drama. With the characters professions I kind of would’ve liked to see something shake them up a little. Even their reunion was kind of anti-climatic. It was just missing that WOW factor. But even with that said this was a truly enjoyable read. This is a perfect beach read. Something to escape the stresses of real life 🙂
Love, Again is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. This is a completed story and no other book needs to be read before enjoying this story.

If you love a second chance romance without a lot of OTT drama, then this is the book you should try. I found this to be an entertaining story and I look forward to other books by this author.
This was a second chance love story. Years ago Aubrey and Cole were in love, they had been high school sweet hearts and they thought they would marry, the whole town thought it. Aubrey loses her parents and decides to make a life change leaving behind her home town and the love of her life. Thinking she is dying for about a couple of hours due to some misinformation she decides that she wants to change her life again and sets out to make out a bucket list and fulfill it and on there she wants to see and apologize to Cole. Cole was not very happy to see her, again for about a couple of hours than they pick up where they left off since both of them were single and had never gotten over each other..It was a syrupy sweet romance.

I love second chance love stories and in Love, Again, L.P. Dover gave us everything you would want to feel – romance, forgiveness, understanding and emotion.
Aubrey Reynolds had a dream and she dared to go after it, but by doing so, she lost the one person she was closest to and the man she was not only in love with, but set to marry. Ten years ago, Aubrey embarked on a journey to become a Hollywood director and while she did so, and has had tremendous success, the one thing she has never found again was love. With one fateful phone call, the trajectory of her life is changed and it spurs her to do things she’s been putting off, such as working through her bucket list and apologizing to the man she left behind so many years ago.
Cole Haywood is doing what he always wanted to do as well, working as a fireman, and helping out with the farm his family owns. The only thing is he isn’t doing it with the person he wanted by his side. He never wanted to hold Aubrey back, so while it hurt to let her go, he understood why she had to. He gets the biggest surprise of his life when he encounters his former love outside the bar in their hometown. While he’s not sure he wants to hear the explanation she wants to give, his brother encourages him to be open-minded.
As Cole and Aubrey reconnect, they figure out that nothing between them has changed when it comes to their feelings. They love each other as much now as they did back when. There are certainly roadblocks to work through and the question is, can they overcome them in order to be together?
I was not only in love with Cole and Aubrey, but I loved Bennett and Emilia as well! They were a great quartet of characters and I was rooting for all of them all throughout the book. There is nothing better than soulmates ending up together and that is exactly what L.P. Dover gave us in this fantastic tale.

Aubrey Reynolds is one of Hollywood’s hottest directors. When she gets a health-scare she decides to make a bucket list and one of those things is to try to find her old boyfriend, Cole Haywood, that she left behind ten years ago. Can these two find love again or has too much time and pain made that impossible? This is a story not only of second chances but also of self discovery. Beautifully written second chance romance. Both characters are well written and very easy to liked along with the secondary characters. Cole also happens to be a hot firefighter so bonus!! “Always follow your dreams, but don’t leave the ones you love behind. You might come to find it’s too late if you do.” Told in dual POV
If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that if Ms. Dover writes it, I will love it! This is simply a beautifully written, wonderful, heartwarming second chance love story that really made me FEEL. I love that it was just what it sounds like it is going to be, an amazing story about two people, Cole and Aubrey, who screwed up the first time and are able to find there way back to each other 10 years later and love again, or still as in this case. No BS, no pretense, no angst, just two soul mates finally reunited and willing to do anything to make it last forever. I fell in love with Cole and Aubrey and Emilia and Bennett! The story surrounding all of them is fantastic!
Thank you to Netgalley/Publisher for this ARC!
3.5 stars
Aubrey was a good balance of serious yet funny, with a sweet down to earth personality I liked. However, Cole was about the same. He was also serious and funny, but I did think his adrenaline rush proclivities was a cute aspect of his personality.
But their personalities were also why I struggled.
I didn’t necessarily need or want OTT drama, but something more then easy acceptance? Um, yeah! Maybe I’m weird, but these two reminded me of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich-solid and sweet, but bland. They reverted back to how they were before they split up with minimal…actually no real fuss. I kept expecting something to happen! If I were Cole, I would have needed a therapist for anger issues over being dumped the way he was!
I liked the book…and I didn’t like the book. I liked Aubrey and Cole, but found them to be…meh. They did and said all the right things, but it came across like a habit, not true feelings. I just wasn’t invested enough for their HEA. Frankly, Aubrey’s bestie Emilia, and Cole’s brother Bennett captured my attention because they stood out more with their passionate personalities and budding romance in a way the main characters lacked.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
