I loved the emotions , actions, and feels that occurred in this story. The main characters really touched a spot in my heart which was deftly done by the author. I enjoyed reading Ms. Dover’s newest. The plot was on point, the emotions get you going and the characters are ones you will remember.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******

Love, Again will make you believe in second chances and true love. Aubrey and Cole met as babies and their friendship grew into love. When they were abruptly separated they still couldn’t stop thinking about each other. Pick up this book and see how the stars aligned for them to get back together. Soul mates have a way of finding their way back together and true love always wins. I loved everything about this book!
4.5 Stars!
Wow, what a well-written and entertaining novel. Love, Again by L.P. Dover, is chock-full of soul-searching, heat, drama, and true love. It is a fast-paced second chance romance with two main characters that are instantly captivating, likable, and have a ton of off the charts chemistry. This book may be enjoyed as a standalone.
Academy Award winning director Aubrey Reynolds, and assistant fire chief Cole Haywood, grew up together in the small town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma. Their amazing childhood friendship developed into true love during high school, and Cole proposed shortly thereafter. However, before Aubrey could commit to the love of her life, she had to live out her dream of being a film director. Leaving Cole and the town she adored was unbelievably difficult, but Aubrey had to try to use her creative talents successfully. Aubrey and Cole were devastated by Aubrey’s decision, and moving on was quite difficult for both of them. A health scare ten years later causes Aubrey to reevaluate her future and she returns to Dusty Valley to seek out Cole. Their love for each other never faded and they embark on an amazing future together.
I truly liked this book, and the incredible love connection between Aubrey and Cole. I immediately connected with both of them as individuals and as a couple. The secondary characters were unique in their own right, which added a lot of interest to the storyline. I especially liked Aubrey’s best friend Emilia, because of her spunk and genuineness. Overall, this is a terrific novel and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Love, Again was my first time reading a book by this author and I was not disappointed. This second chance romance had me hooked from the very beginning and I was dying to know what what going to happen between these characters.
When Aubrey is misdiagnosed with a devastating disease it opens her eyes to everything in her life that is missing. While on the outside it looks like she has the perfect life, she realizes that with work being her focus for so long, she has actually missed out on many things she has always wanted to do. Stepping away from the spot light, Aubrey decides to take herself on an adventure and work on completing her bucket list.
Cole is a small town fireman, finally working toward his dream of becoming Chief. The only thing missing in his life is the woman who walked away to follow her own dream years ago. When Aubrey walks back into his life looking for the chance to find some closure between the two of them they both soon realize that the spark between them has never gone out.
This book is full of emotion, heartbreak and healing. I fell in love with these characters and was rooting for them to find their way back to each other.
This is a wonderful must read book for sure.- By Alisa
5 SECOND CHANCE PERFECTION STARS!! This book is second chance perfection and hit all my emotion buttons. Aubrey and Cole where high school sweethearts and get a another chance to make it right. I loved their story and I could not read it fast enough. I highly recommend this book, so make sure to 1-Click.
Imagine the doctor telling you that you have a very terrible disease and probably won’t make it and then having them tell you that there was a mistake! I can’t imagine how scary and helpless you feel. After something like that, you can’t just go back to life as normal. So our main character, Aubrey doesn’t!
Aubrey grew up in a small town, but is now living her dream as a successful director in Hollywood. That was always her dream and she’s living the life now that she has it. Once she hears she may be dying only to find out that she isn’t, it opens her eyes! There are things in life she would love to see and the man she left behind ten years ago won’t leave her mind.
I loved Aubrey. She’s so down to earth. Even though she’s famous and has more money than she knows what to do with, she’s still Aubrey. The only thing she regrets is leaving the love of her life so many years ago. I loved reading about her visiting places she always wanted to see though. After hearing she didn’t have much life left to live, she definitely wasn’t going to take that for granted again.
Of course, while visting everything, she can’t get Cole off her mind. It really is time for her to go back to Oklahoma and face what she left behind. Cole is really your boy next door. He is a firefighter, helps on his father’s farm and is on his way to becoming chief.
Cole is another character I loved. He loves his small town and he’s a family man. While many men would just blame the other for leaving, Cole regrets not going after Aubrey. There’s never been anyone since she left. It’s always been her.
Even though I’m a big fan of second chance romances, it almost went a bit too easy in this story. Aubrey comes home and it’s just accepted. Cole is mad for a day like it seems and then all is well again. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have a romance not run by drama, but I would’ve liked to have seen more of a fight. I know Aubrey had her reasons, but she up and left him and it’s like she came back and everything is fine.
That being said, I did like seeing Aubrey and Cole reconnect. I loved them spending time together. They had a lot of fun together and visited places that sounded like a lot of fun. They’re a cute couple and it’s clear that they’re meant to be together.
On top of a sweet romance, there are other amazing characters. I loved Emilia and Bennett (I really hope they’re going to get a book, haha). I am a sucker for small towns and Dusty Valley sounds like a place I would love to live!
This is my first book by L. P. Dover and I’m in love! “Love, Again” is a beautiful love story about second chances. Aubrey is a successful Hollywood director and Cole is a hometown fireman. Both are happy with what they are doing in their life but unhappy when it comes to love. Neither can forget the other. The love of each other’s life. They’re soulmates. When a false medical scare brings Aubrey back to her hometown and Cole both are hoping this is their second chance at love. This is such a well-written book with great characters. This is a must read!
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
it was amazing
Another amazing book…
I truly loved this book from start to finish. ALL. THE. FEELS!!!
Aubrey Reynolds and Cole Haywood were high school sweethearts and were all ready for forever. BUT sometimes forever takes a bit longer to get too.
I am not going to give away any spoilers, but know there is a lot of heart break and tears will be spilled. I promise this book will be loved
I so needed to read Love, Again. I needed to read a book with a simple plot. The last few books I have read have had plots that were all over the place. So, reading a book that was focused only on one thing was terrific. It was a balm for my brain.
I liked that Love, Again was a second chance romance. Out of all the genres/troupes, second chance romances is in my top 5. I love reading about characters who get back together after being separated for years. I like seeing those characters reconnect. Audrey and Cole was no exception.
I liked Aubrey. I did think that she was too chill about certain things (like her misdiagnosis). I loved her bucket list. There were a few things on there that I want to do. She didn’t come across as a typical Hollywood person. She seemed genuine to the people that she met. I didn’t understand how she could leave Cole a month before the wedding. That was the only time I thought she was selfish. But, when it was revealed why she left and who was behind it, then I understood. My feelings about her being selfish went away, and I pitied her. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I did like Cole, but I didn’t get as good as a connection to him. His chapters were introduced rather late in the book. Don’t get me wrong; he was excellent for Aubrey. I felt that something was missing on my end. I wish I could explain it. But I can’t.
Love, Again was a perfect fit into the romance category. Being a second chance romance, I didn’t have an issue with Cole and Aubrey falling in love . Usually, I would be screaming “Instalove,” but in this case, it wasn’t. Aubrey and Cole had a history. They knew they were soulmates. So, yeah, I had no issue with them saying the “L” word as soon as they did in the book.
Aubrey and Cole’s romance was relatable to me. They were soul mates that separated. It did take them ten years, but once they got back together, it was almost like they were never apart. Their love for each other came off the pages.
The sexual tension and chemistry between Aubrey and Cole were steaming hot. From the minute they saw each other, I could see the zings. The author did have them have sex shortly after they saw each other. Again, something that would bother me, but in this case, it didn’t. The sex was red hot. The author was able to keep the sexual tension going, which made every single sex scene amazing.
I did have a small complaint. If you have been reading my blog for any length of time, then you know how I feel about the characters having unprotected sex. I know that Aubrey and Cole were soulmates but to go bareback after ten years? Yeah, no thank you.
I did have the ending figured out. I had it figured out when Aubrey and Cole went to Turk and Caicos. Of course, I liked how the book ended up. It was the ultimate HEA. But I thought that Aubrey took an unnecessary risk cliff jumping. The epilogue was my favorite part of the book. I was hoping for an Emilia/Bennet book, but from what I read, that isn’t happening.
The author did a fantastic job at wrapping up all the plotlines in Love, Again. There was no lag in the plot. All the storylines were wrapped up, which meant that there were no dropped storylines or characters. I liked that the author took events that happened at the beginning of the book and tied it in to the end. For some reason, that made me happy.
Love, Again is a sweet, second chance romance.
Aubrey and Cole are childhood best friends and sweethearts who broke up when Aubrey went to follow her dreams in Hollywood. Ten years later she returns after a mixup with medical test results to ask for forgiveness.
What follows is their sweet, relatively uncomplicated journey back to true love.
While there was a little drama in the beginning, for the most part this book is an easy ride, and an easy read. Sometimes love isn’t about over the top drama or big revelations it is as simple as finding the right person.
Wonderful second chance book!
Aubrey gave up love ten years ago to follow her dreams, after a health scare she realizes that she gave up her happy then too. This is a great read about following your dreams and heart.
Aubrey and Cole have grown up together, First loves….. first everything. When she left years ago it broke both of their hearts. Both with regrets and needing closure.
Love, Again is about forgiveness and learning to live. This author gave us a really good story that I couldn’t put down. You gotta read it!

This is a great second chance stand alone.
What happens when you give up everything to make your dreams come true? But, ten years later, you get news that brings you to your knees. Life changing news.
This is exactly what happened to Aubrey.
All of her regrets and guilt come rushing back.
She has to see how Cole is doing.
Cole has the same regrets and the same guilt.
Can these two forgive each other and move on?
This is a cute read. The characters are loveable and enjoyable.
Is it just me that wants Bennett and Emilia to get a story too?
Cole and Aubrey, . This was one of the sweetest second chance romance I’ve ever read. No drama, no exes, no nothing just two people that were soulmates and found their way back to each other. Aubrey broke Cole heart to follow her dreams but she never stopped loving him. Cole never stopped loving Aubrey. Fast forward ten years and an eye opening incident for Aubrey to realize what she’s missing out on and also to get some type of closure. Instead when they are finally face to face instead of closure they forgive and pick up where they left off ten years ago and its absolutely beautiful. These two go thru so much and clear the air. Their reconciliation is just heartwarming and shows their true love. I loved that the secondary characters were their biggest cheerleaders. And the last couple chapters and the epilogue?!?! PRICELESS!!!!
Love, Again is a beautiful, some what effortless second chance romance that you can’t help but feel in your soul. This is one swoon worthy read. Aubrey and Cole are soulmates to the core. Even after years apart you can still feel the connection between the two of them. I love second chance romances. Aubrey is so sweet. Cole will leave you in a pile of goo. The adventure they go on is amazing and you see how it brings them closer. Sometimes going back to the start is what you need to do. I absolutely love Love, Again. L.P. Dover blew me away with her words. Go one click this one.
Love Again was an emotional second chance romance. Aubrey and Cole were high school sweethearts and about to be married before Aubrey moved away to pursue her dreams in Hollywood. Following a medical scare she finds herself longing for what could have been and missing Cole something fierce.
Sometimes two people are just truly meant to be, and that seems to be the case with Cole and Aubrey. I loved these characters, along with Emilia and Bennett. I loved the story line of a famous lead character going back to her roots.
I read this book in one sitting. It is a fairly even read in that there isn’t a lot of drama or angst, but I do not in any way feel like this took away from the story. An engaging beautiful second chance story that I definitely recommend.
L.P has a way with her writing that drawls you in and you don’t want the story too end. Cole & Aubrey’s story will definitely give you all the feels. Cole will definitely become your next book boyfriend. I loved every word in this story and the characters were amazing. Another amazing read that will have you hooked from page one.
This is not the first book by this amazing author that I have read and again I am left knowing why I continue reading her stories. This second chance romance is sweet and funny. It has characters that you fall in love with and a storyline that makes you appreciate your own life.
Aubrey left her small hometown and her one love to follow her dreams!! She is successful and even though she knew she was missing one thing or one person especially in her life she never looked back. That was until she was given some news Thanks from her doctor that completely changed her outlook on life. She decided it was time to do those things she always wanted to do and that included going home to the man she cannot get out of her head.
Cole, your ever so sweet and sexy firefighter never expected to see Aubrey again. When she left town she took his heart with her. He was angry about his loss but he moved on and tried to forget her. He never expected to see her again or for him to still care for her as much as he does.
This reunion between Aubrey and Cole is witty and charming. Their feelings for each other obviously was never resolved and as they find each other again, you the reader, will fall love in love right along with them. Definitely another must read by this wonderful author.
Love, Again by L.P. Dover is a second chance romance with all the feels. Aubrey Reynolds walked away from the man she loved to pursue her dreams. It was a chance she had to take but has always been her biggest regret. But when she is handed some unexpected news, she decides to take some time off and enjoy life. Somehow, she finds her way back home and to the man that still owns her heart.
Cole Haywood knew he had to let Aubrey go, but that did not mean he was not heartbroken when she left. He loved her deeply. Now she is back and stirring up his feelings. But it is not one-sided. I loved Cole so much. He was strong, determined and had a heart of gold. Aubrey was smart, driven and caring. Could they find a way back to each other after all this time? Love, Again by L.P. Dover was a charming second chance romance. I loved Cole and Aubrey and their journey so much.
