This is a second chance love story and oh my did it have me hooked right from the beginning! Aubrey is a Hollywood director, and a very successful one at that, and this story starts off with her looking for her keys while suffering from a hangover. She doesn’t often imbibe but the night before she had celebrated with her friend but now she needs to get out the door to a meeting for a new movie. Just as she is about to leave the house she gets a call that changes everything. Her doctor gives her the news she may not have long to live. She was frozen in shock until her friend Emilia and her doctor come over to let her know there was a mistake and the blood tests were not hers and she is fine. Okay, this is a wake up call that changes everything. Bags are packed, a bucket list is made and she is off on an adventure to places she has always wanted to go and to see things she has only read about. Along the way she is plagued by the realization she needs to go home. Ten years ago she broke her engagement a month before the wedding and didn’t look back and has never been back. Sure, she has looked back plenty but never contacted anyone. It turns out she rolls into town and her childhood home looks better than it did when she was growing up and showing up at the diner was as blast from the past and open arms are waiting for her. Later that night she runs into the only man she has ever loved and the one she left. She is met with anger, as expected, but after he calms down he seeks her out the next day. Oh, you have to read this one. This not only the story of forgiveness but it is a reaffirmation that it is never too late to go back. I highly recommend this one!

LOVE, AGAIN by L.P. Doer is a contemporary, adult, stand alone, erotic, romance story line focusing on thirty-two years olds, fire fighter Cole Haywood, and award winning Hollywood director Aubrey Reynolds.
Told from dual first person points of view (Cole and Aubrey) LOVE, AGAIN follows the rekindling romance between childhood sweethearts and former lovers, thirty-two years olds, fire fighter Cole Haywood, and award winning Hollywood director Aubrey Reynolds. Ten years earlier, one month before their scheduled wedding, Aubrey Reynolds walked away from the man that she loved in the hope of finding herself and a new path in life. Fast forward to present day wherein a medical mistakes sends our heroine on a bucket list trip of what ifs and whys including a return to her hometown of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma where she lost her heart, and the man that she loved. Enter fire fighter Cole Haywood. What ensues is the second chance romance and relationship between Cole and Aubrey, and the potential fall-out as Aubrey struggles with returning to Hollywood, and the possibility of leaving the man she has always loved.
Cole Haywood had never stopped loving the woman who broke his heart but fame, fortune and life pulled Aubrey Reynolds out of his life. Bitter and broken hearted, Cole never expected to come face to face with his past, a past he struggles to forgive and forget. Aubrey Reynolds knows she screwed up the day she walked out of Cole Haywood’s life. Never regretting the fame and success of Hollywood, Aubrey battles to make amends, walking away from the thing that she loved.
The relationship between Aubrey and Cole is one of second chances; a rekindling romance and love between two people whose lives went in opposite directions but a love that never waivered in spite of the different paths, and varying degrees of fame and success. With Aubrey’s return to Dust Valley, Oklahoma, Cole is hoping for a second chance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Aubrey’s best friend and actress Emilia Hart ; Cole’s brother Bennett Haywood, as well as a number of residents of Dust Valley, Oklahoma, and the many people our heroine meets on her journey of discovery. I am hoping the author has plans for Bennett and Emilia’s story.
LOVE, AGAIN is a story of family, friendship, forgiveness and second chances. The premise is sweet, engaging and uplifting; the romance is captivating and seductive; the characters are colorful, energetic and fun. The conflict is limited to the reconciliation between our leading couple. LOVE, AGAIN is a wonderful and heart warming story for the romantic in all of us.
Aubrey and Cole a second chance at love !!
Aubrey is living her dream in the Hollywood world as a successful director when a sudden diagnosis puts her world in a new light .
Cole has always loved Aubrey . He wanted her to fly and fulfill her dreams but he has always hoped that he would have been part of the plan. Now she is back and they have so many wrongs to right .
This is a beautiful journey of two people that have hopefully once again found one another and remember the true reason they fell so hard the first time !!

This emotional story pulled me in from the first page. It is a story about heartbreak, forgiveness and second chances. When Aubrey is misdiagnosed as having a life threatening illness she reevaluates her life and decides to make some changes. She is a renowned Hollywood director who has sacrificed everything for success. After ten years, she decides to return to the small town she grew up in and Cole, the boy she left behind.
Cole was devastated when Aubrey left him ten years ago and he has never recovered or found anyone he cared about as much as Aubrey. Aubrey returns to ask for forgiveness but Cole is still angry with her.
I enjoyed this delightful story about Cole and Aubrey. I was cheering for them and hoping they would work everything out and end up together. Cole and Aubrey are down to earth and easy to connect with and they have a lot of chemistry. There is also a secondary story about Bennett and Emilia and I was also rooting for them. This sweet story tugged on my heartstrings.
This book was a roller coaster from the beginning !!!Life changing from 10 years ago. A second chance love that was never really lost just waiting . It was a really great read. I love all L.P. Dover’s books. This is a must read !!!
I immediately fell in love with L.P. Dover’s writing style and had a hard time putting Love, Again down. Having grown up in a place even smaller than Dusty Valley, I absolutely loved the small town atmosphere. Instead of dealing with the pain of the past in a spiteful way, Aubrey and Cole immediately began making up for lost time. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

M/F Second Chance Romance
Aubrey is a fun, successful movie producer who loves her life. But when facing her own mortality, she finds that despite all of her success, she has a major regret. In order for her to achieve her dream, she had to leave behind the love of her life. So, while on her quest for adventure, she finds herself back in her hometown to see if she can explain and achieve some closure with her first and only love, Cole.
Cole is a down-to-earth fireman who loves his family and his job. His one regret is that he never got to marry the love of his life, Aubrey. Even though he knows that she needed to leave in order to be as successful as she is, he still is angry with her for leaving and not allowing him to come with.
This is a sweet, second-chance romance where the characters have old history that leads them through to a new lease on life. They go on an adventure to reconnect and find their love again. It was a sweet story, but I actually was more interested in Cole’s brother and Aubrey’s friend’s romance. I hope they get their own story.

I really enjoy secondchance romances and this one did not disappoint. Aubrey and Cole had to find their way past the hurts of the past to be able to enjoy the present.
I enjoyed the way their characters interacted with each other and you could feel the emotions rolling off the page.

I really enjoy L.P. Dover’s stories, and always choose to read them, because the storylines are good – and this is no different. However, I do have to admit that sometimes the amount of telling rather than revealing can annoy me. There is a lot of scene setting, which I often feel could have been revealed within the story. As I say, overall I enjoy the stories, but sometimes have to get over the world building phase knowing it will be worth it once things get going. I say this in case you start and feel as I do. My advice is to continue, and you should not be disappointed.
I enjoyed the fact that the successful director who left town was the female lead, and that the male lead had stayed at home to help out at his family’s ranch. She was therefore wealthier, more likely to continue to be so, and in a usual storyline, these facts would have most definitely been reversed.
Aubrey’s brush with the possibility of death was the perfect way to give her the chance of setting her affairs in order, in the broadest sense, and sets her on a journey. This starts as one of exploring long desired locations, but soon changes to affairs of the heart, sending her back to her hometown. As she and Cole remember their past, they finally get to talk about what happened, and why… and more importantly, what might happen next.
After the dramatic start (the lesson being never, ever get a diagnosis over the phone!), the story wends its way through a sweet childhood and sorts out what really are one’s priorities in life. I might point out that this is true for Cole as well as Aubrey!

I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review.
Aubrey Reynolds has it all. A great career as a director with awards, money, and friends. However it all comes to a halt when she is diagnosed with cancer, but the doctor made a mistake she doesn’t have it.
Aubrey is given a second chance and she is going to live it at its fullest. But there is one thing that she must do and that is begging forgiveness from the one man that she broke heart.
Cole Haywood never expect to see Aubrey again. After 10 years ago Aubrey broke his heart and now he doesn’t know if he can forgive her.
If you the reader believe in second chances it’s a must read!
I am a big fan of L.P. Dover’s work and this book was no different. Gives you all the angst and what ifs of a lost love looking for a second chance. Aubrey is a strong female character that left the love her life in search of following her dream to be in Hollywood. She made an name for herself after a strange turn of events she realizes lifes to short. She starts competing her bucket list which includes the love she left behind. Can Aubrey and Cole find that spark again?
I am a fan of L.P. Dover’s work. Love Again was exactly what I was hoping it would be.
I can’t imagine being told I wasn’t going to live long. Aubrey gets news she has a disease that is going to kill her. That makes her take a look at her life and decide she needs to change things. She is going to live her life to the fullest and do things she has always wanted to do being a successful director in Hollywood isn’t the only thing she wants in life.
She has one person on her mind she can’t seem to stop thinking of, Cole. She decides its time to go home. Cole is a firefighter and works on his dad’s farm.
Cole and Aubrey’s story was sweet and just what I needed.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable second chance romance. Aubrey and Cole are the classic small town it couple. Friends forever, each other’s first love and planning their forever together. When life throws a curveball they are separated. The second life changing event sends Aubrey back to that same small town to make amends. Cole and Aubrey’s story was a true second chance romance.
2.5 stars.
This is a story about a Hollywood director who is mistakenly misdiagnosed with a terminal disease. She then realizes everything she’s missing out in life, so she starts a bucket list, then decides she needs to confront and apologize to her ex fiance that she walked out on just before their wedding 10 years earlier. I had some issues with this story. First, the transition from the diagnoses to her leaving a directing job that she was to start just isn’t believable. Not sure how many Hollywood directors can just walk away from films they have already been contracted out for, but wasn’t crazy how that played out. Then there was how she ended up in her home town after eating cookies at the state fair. Again, it just wasn’t a smooth transition. Honestly, I almost didn’t finish this book about 30% through, not thrilled with the writing style, the characters, the story as a whole, but wanted to give it a go to see if it got any better, sadly it didn’t. Not a book I would read again.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
L.P.Dover skillfully develops characters that are quite real and become people that the reader would really like to know. The plots are realistic for romance novels; not fantasy, that would not happen in real life.
This is a second chance story, which is my favorite. Keeping a promise that she gave to her mother before she died, Aubrey went to Hollywood and became an accomplished , award winning director, but sacrificing the love of her life. Her best friend is Emilia Hart, one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses. After receiving a misdiagnosis of a terminal disease, she decides that she sacrificed too much and chucks it all to do write a bucket list and do all those things that she has put off. One of those is to return to her home town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma. Ten years ago, she was a dental assistant, a month away from marrying Cole Haywood, the love of her life, when she decided she needed to keep the promise to her mother. Cole offered to come with her to California, but she knew his heart was in Dusty Valley and she didn’t want him to make the sacrifice or resent her later. Without him being on social media, she didn’t know if he had moved on to another, but she had never found a man that could take his place in her heart. She finds that he had not replaced her either, but he is still very angry. Older and wiser now, can they mend their broken hearts and put them back together again? A side story involves Emilia and Cole’s brother Bennett. Will they learn from Cole and Aubrey’s mistakes?

LP Dover has delivered a lovely sweet, second-chance romance that you will be unable to put down.
Aubrey Reynolds is a hot Hollywood Director, shes living her dream doing what she loves but after a mix up with test results she realises she is lonely and still in love with the man she left behind when she left to pursue her dream. She decides to take some time off and write a bucket list of sorts, traveling to places shes always wanted to visit. This way she can build up the courage to go back to her home town and see if she can get a second chance with her soul mate.
Cole Haywood has lived in the same town all his life. His heart was broken when his fiancée broke off their engagement the week before their wedding. He has never gotten over her and now she is back in town he is going to get his second chance with her.
I love a second-chance romance and this one I adored. LP Dover wrote the characters brilliantly making you become invested in them. You end up rooting for them to find their HEA and I would love to read more of Bennett and Emilie.
If you haven’t read LP Dover before then this is a brilliant book to start with as she has a way of delivering a captivating emotional, witty, entertaining read that leaves you addicted and page-turning unable to put it down.
As soon as I started reading, I became completely immersed in all that was happening in this expertly written second-chance romance. I loved the unforgettable characters, especially Aubrey Reynolds, a successful Hollywood director, who returns home to Dusty Valley, Oklahoma after ten years, and Cole Haywood, local fireman and her high school sweetheart.
If you are a fan of well-crafted contemporary romance that will stay with you long after you finish the book, don’t miss LOVE, AGAIN by L. P. Dover.
I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily providing my honest review. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.
Aubrey Reynolds, left the small town of Dusty Valley, Oklahoma to become a director in Los Angeles, in the process she received several Oscars and Golden Globes. Aubrey also left behind the love of her life, Cole Haywood, after she broke off their engagement. It’s been 10 long years, however, she remembers everything like it was yesterday.
Lately she’s been getting a lot of headaches, thinking it might be stress, but deciding it’s time to get it checked out. When she gets the call from the doctor himself with her test results, Aubrey starts to panic. It’s not good news. The diagnosis is a rare blood disorder where the survival rate is low. After the phone call, Aubrey collapses, thinking of everything she wants to do before time runs out. In the background Aubrey can hear her phone ringing and pounding on her front door, but she’s unable to move. It’s a good thing her backdoor was open, since not only is her doctor there along with her best friend Emilia to give her the good news that he gave her someone else’s test results by mistake. Even with the good news, Aubrey decides to take time off and do a bucket list. She knows that she needs to return to Oklahoma and make amends with Cole.
Cole Haywood has never gotten over Aubrey, so when he sees her after 10 years, anger is all that he feels. After tossing and turning all night, Cole knows he has to confront Aubrey and talk about all the hurt inside of him, caused by her sudden departure 10 years ago. He really wants her in his life but also realizes that what he wants may not be what Aubrey wants.
This was a wonderful romantic story of second chances with sexy encounters.
I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Aubrey and Cole have a second chance at happiness when she finally returns home after 10 years away. She left him one month before their wedding to pursue her Hollywood dream of directing. She has made a success of herself professionally, however, a life changing event causes her to reflect on her personal life. She then makes a bucket list of places and things she wants to experience and sets about finding herself. When she winds up back in her hometown she knows she has to apologize to Cole for her leaving him behind. Cole, understandably, isn’t exactly thrilled to see her at first. I thought his reaction was understandable and both of them had some guilt over not coming to see the other in the last 10 years. I did feel that Aubrey’s mother played a big role in her decision and that her mother was projecting some of her wishes onto her daughter. It was interesting how L.P. Dover portrayed these 2 and told their story. It wasn’t unrealistic and I found myself rooting for them. Overall a good read and in keeping with the other L.P. Dover books that I have read.
I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
Enticing Journey has introduced me to another author increasing my TBR list. I better live a long life to fit these books in! Cole and Aubrey’s story drew me in and I loved ever chapter! A second chance romance that I enjoyed. Thank goodness Aubrey’s bucket list included Cole! Fantastic characters! Wonderful story!
