I never meant to say a word, not one single word. But I did. Now because of something I leaked–without even realizing it–I’ve inadvertently broken up one of the Ice Knights’ most legendary bromances. And worse–I’ve kicked hockey star Ian Petrov’s grumpy level to insane levels of grump. And what could make it worse? How about the two of us being trapped together in a remote cabin after a … a remote cabin after a massive blizzard. Neither of us can leave. Just us, the snow, his resentment, and OMG sexual tension so thick it would take a snowplow to break through it.
I’ve got to get out of here before I do something even dumber than I’ve already done and kiss the sexy grouch with his misplaced anger and perfect pecs. That would be the worst, the absolute worst. But… would it be terrible if we gave in? Just a little? It’s not like we’re ever going to have to spend time together again.
Until the next morning when we’re told we have to play chummy for the press until this news cycle blows over. F.M.L.

What a fun story! Sort of an enemies to lovers with a little bit of a twist. Shelby runs a Hockey Blog and finally has her dream job working with her favorite team. However, things become crazy when some big news gets out thanks to a phone call taken at the wrong time. Now Ian, the incredibly hot player on the team thinks Shelby did this on purpose and he is not happy.
Things get even more insane when a mix up lands both Ian and Shelby snowed in without power in a cabin in the mountains. Shelby feels terrible about what happened with the leaked news, however, she is not one to be pushed around and no matter how bad she feels she isn’t about to let Ian walk around all growly without letting him know what she thinks. The sexual tension is strong and before long they are both fighting an attraction that neither one is ready for.
But wait!!! Snowed in at the cabin is actually the least of their worries. Just when they think they will be able to go their separate ways they find out that they are going on a road trip with the team, and Shelby is assigned to follow both Ian and his brother closely. If things weren’t awkward before you better believe that they will be now!
This book had me hooked from the moment I started reading. I love these characters and thought the writing was fabulous. This is a must read book for sure!

Loudmouth is a fantastic enemies to lovers hockey romance read. Avery Flynn has outdone herself with this book. As with the other books in the Ice Knight Series, Avery gives us main characters that are real and that suffer from real life issues (in such a way that draws awareness to it without it overpowering the book).
Ian is a sexy as puck hockey player. Following in his father’s famous hockey playing footsteps has left him feeling second best. He discovers that his deadbeat dad fathered another son, his BFF and teammate Alex. Talk.about.awkward.
Shelby is a recovering alcoholic and a successful hockey blogger. She is spunky and charismatic and so very different from the women Ian normally meets. She is also responsible for accidentally breaking the story about his brother from another mother.
Ian and Shelby are thrown together by Lucy (from Muffin Top – love her HARD) and forced to spend quality time together, all nice and cozy, when they get snowed in on vacation. What happens next is both funny and sexy as these two try to fight (and fail spectacularly) their attraction to one another.
What I love about Avery’s books is the lack of unnecessary drama. They are fantastic romcom, sexy times filled romance reads that will have you flipping through your Kindle as you gobble up every word. TBR this fantastic little book and if you haven’t read Book 1 and Book 2 in the series I highly recommend that you do.
A Witcher hot ice hockey player and a feisty pixie of a woman? Sign me up! Loud Mouth by Avery Flynn had me chuckling and intrigued from the get go! Forced proximity while being snowed in at a remote cabin with no signal and no power, enemies due to circumstance and miscommunication, Shelby and Ian have me hooked, and it’s only the start of their rollercoaster ride of a journey!
Ian is surly, grumpy, grunty, and has a chip on his shoulder he just can’t shift. He’s lost his best friend, and now needs to fake that relationship until the season is over.
Shelby has loved hockey forever, it having become a bit of an obsession at a key turning point in her life. She’s fiery, unapologetic, and extremely good at accidentally putting her foot into it, and then trying and not always succeeding at unraveling the mess.
Throw in an epic road trip, glasses of milk, hockey fans, and dear old dad showing up out of the blue and unwanted, as well as shmekshay times in different area codes, Loud Mouth will have you rooting, have you jeering, have you wanting to smack people upside the head, and have you sighing that satisfied sigh when certain things happen.
I loved getting to see more of Lucy in her element and the referencing to Frankie!
All in all, another epic addition to the Ice Knights family of stories, and I can’t wait to read the next one!
Loud Mouth is a fun, easy, hilarious addition to the Ice Knights series.
Shelby runs a well known hockey website and is newly hired by the Ice Knights. Ian is a professional hockey player whose world was just shattered by some news about his family thanks to Shelby. So when these two are looked in a remote cabin together it’s not all great, however, sparks start to fly and what happens in the cabin doesn’t always stay in the cabin.
I love Shelby. She is funky, she has tattoos, she is a character that you can easily connect with. She is hilarious and I love that she isn’t afraid to stand up to Ian or really any of the hockey players. Ian, he is a growly grump that you can’t help but love from the moment you meet him. I love the chemistry between Shelby and Ian. From the moment the met, despite the dislike towards each other, there was chemistry and it didn’t take long for sparks to fly.
Loud Mouth of full of laughs, chemistry, steam and plenty of laughs. A MUST READ!
I just love a feel-good love story.
Ian and Shelby make a great couple and not just because of the chemistry. They saw each others mistakes but were able to look past them and see that there was more to the eye.
Ian is trying so hard to remove from his father’s shadow. Shelby trying so hard to make it in a “man’s world”. Even though they both know they should stay away the pull is too strong and love wins at the end of it.
This series gave me moments of sadness, moments of laughter and most of all gave me a sense that true love can conquer all.

Loudmouth is the third book in the (Ice Knights) series by Avery Flynn. It follows hockey player Ian Petrov and blogger Shelby Blanton.
Ian has always felt like he lived in his dad’s shadow, as the son of a previous ‘Hall of Fame’ winner.
His dad made sure he knew that Ian wasn’t as great a player as him. He was a real nasty piece of work. But, there was worse to come when he found out that his best friend was his half-brother, something his father had kept hidden all along.
Now, with the truth being outed and by Shelby no less, he’s desperate for some alone time to clear his head.
Shelby wants nothing more than to bury her head and wish for the secret to never have gotten out.
Both head for an isolated cabin, neither knowing that they have been set up and sent to the same one by a mutual friend.
Thanks to a snowstorm, they are forced to face their issues and get to know one another. One thing leads to another and soon they’re forgetting about being snowed in.
They make their own heat!!
They definitely shared undeniable chemistry and even though they agree that it’s a one-time hookup while they’re away from home, they just can’t help falling deeper as time goes on.
The tension between Ian and his brother, Alex Christenson plays into the story quite a bit, as does his terrible relationship with his father. David Petrov is a people-user and is out to make himself look good in the eyes of the public, whether it suits his sons or not.
When Shelby stands up to him, he’s quick to try and come between her and Ian. I liked how she didn’t take any of his nonsense in the end.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story, it’s fun and mostly light-hearted but with a few serious side pieces.
As always with this series, I thoroughly enjoyed it!! These stories are light and fluffy, romantic, funny, they always have a great, unique storyline and the characters are endearing! I hope Avery Flynn has more books coming in this series!!!??
Anyway, definitely a 5 star book for me!
This is the 3rd book in this series and is Ian and Shelby’s story. Shelby is a blogger who had no clue that Ian would be blindsided by the information she spills, and that is that his teammate and best buddy is his half-brother. Needing to get away and regroup Ian heads towards a cabin, not knowing that Shelby has the same idea, and they end up stuck together there, with not much to do but confront the issues on hand. This is a well written flawless story which is humorous, entertaining, and with witty banter and is a steamy read. I look forward to reading more from this author and recommend this for all rom-com comedy lovers.
Avery Flynn has done it again. I really loved this book. It has an enemies to lovers theme, that just pulled me in and didnt let go. I laughed so hard at some of the antics this couple got in to. Their chemistry is off the charts. We also get glimpses into some of our past favorites, which is a nice touch for fans of this series. Avery Flynn’s writing style is a rom com lovers dream
Another fun and entertaining read from Avery Flynn. Loved seeing the ice melt on Ian and the sassyness and toughness of Shelby!! I won an ARC in a giveaway!! Book was worth the wait…caught myself laughing out loud and smiling a lot.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this wonderful, snarky, and funny book, Loud Mouth by Avery, book three in her Ice Knights series. This story, in typical Avery style, had me on an emotional journey as we followed Shelby and Ian’s enemies to friends love story as they haphazardly slide across the ice, scoring yet another goal.
Needing to find an outlet and direction for her life, Shelby started writing a hockey blog, The Biscuit. A few years later she lands a position with the Ice Knights, expanding her blog. A phone call from her mother, featuring some juicy hockey gossip, is overheard by a local news reporter. Not having any scruples this reporter lets the city know that Ice Knights’ hockey star Ian Petrov’s best friend and teammate is actually his half brother. Surprise!! Shelby is embarrassed that the news was made public before Ian was informed of this bit information; since he had no prior clue. Instead of being mad with his dad or former best friend/brother from another mother, he’s angry with me; the poor messenger. In an attempt to get away, Shelby hides away in a remote cabin only to discover Ian had the same idea and arrives at the same cabin in the middle of the night. Of all the luck in the world, these two awaken after a massive blizzard trapping them in the cabin. The sizzling attraction and chemistry are causing a major tension between them that only kisses, caresses, and a bed can release. Ian has turned into a snarly grump and Shelby is imagining all the things she wants Ian to do and how amazing it would be. After escaping from the cabin, Shelby is assigned to cover the brothers during a road trip. These enemies are fast becoming friends, and possibly more as they spend time together, getting to truly know and understand each other. When things get complicated, Shelby is there, standing up for and protecting Ian. Now Ian has to figure out how to keep Shelby alongside him, and in his life, possibly forever.
Ms. Flynn wrote a wonderful and hysterical story that was moving and filled with sizzling chemistry, humorous and snarky dialogue, and endearing characters that should definitely not be missed. I highly recommend Loud Mouth to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Avery Flynn is one of my top pick rom-com authors. I love all the connections between the characters in her books and the Ice Knights series has been one of my favorites. I have been so excited to read Loud Mouth.
When it comes to Avery Flynn’s writing, she just gets me. When I pick up one of her books I know that I am going to get what I am craving. She never disappoints me. Her writing style is so inviting and the narration so smooth. Flynn pulls you into the story and gets you hooked immediately.
Shelby and Ian were both very relatable and likable characters. It was so easy to connect with them because they were so flawed and real. While both characters had depth and character growth, I felt that Ian had the most. I felt that Shelby’s addiction issues could have been expanded upon or highlighted more in the story. Her struggle just didn’t feel as immediate as Ian’s. I really loved seeing characters from other books in this series and from the Hartigans series. I really hope to see more Ice Knights in future books. Christensen has definitely piqued my interest after reading this book.
The attraction between Shelby and Ian is hot and heavy from the start. I loved the enemies-to-lovers feel at the beginning of the story. I really liked Shelby and Ian together and I felt that they made a great couple. I did feel like they jumped into the physical aspect of their relationship a little too quickly. It made the romance a little unbelievable at the start because it felt like it was at face value and only due to attraction. As the story progresses we get to see that they truly see each other and value more in each other.
Overall, this is a lighthearted book that perfectly balances the humor and steam that we all love in our rom-coms. You’ll love the witty banter, memorable characters, and entertaining plot. This book will leave a smile on your face when you walk away. I can’t wait for more outstanding stories from this author!
For me, Loud Mouth was 2 stories in one and a continuation of the Ice Knights adventures we were first introduced to in the Hartigan World of Avery Flynn. Of course we had the HEA of Ian and Shelby, but another story that I truly enjoyed seeing play out was how Ian and Alex worked their way back from former Best Friends to Actual Brothers. Ian and Shelby find themselves stranded in a cabin after an accidental exposure of the Best Friends “True” relationship by Shelby and sparks fly! Forced together by situation for an extended road-trip the three of them work together to get to where they need to be in their own relationships with some detours along the way. This book is for Avery Flynn Fans, Hockey fans and just fans of great storytelling!
Shelby Blanton is the consummate Ice Knights hockey fan, if her blog is anything to go by. She’s tough and outspoken and offers her followers the unvarnished truth. Too bad she unwittingly exposed a secret that Knights player, Ian Petrov, didn’t even know he had! Which of course makes Shelby Ian’s least favorite person ever.
If that’s not bad enough, now Shelby is at the cabin Ian was supposed to be renting, alone, to spend a week with a bottle of scotch and hide from the aftermath of his finding out with the rest of the world that his best friend and teammate is also his half brother. Even the weather has conspired against him by dumping enough snow on the mountain retreat that he and Shelby are stuck together for the foreseeable future.
Light hearted and fun, with a little bit of drama but low on the angst, Ian and Shelby’s story still has all the humor and heart we’ve come to expect from this gifted storyteller. It’s charming entertainment that practically reads itself and you won’t want to miss it!
4.5 stars
Loud Mouth is an entertaining story with great banter and friendships.
I rather liked Shelby and her ability to be strong and strive to do her best in her work. I loved that she had no filter either. When something goes wrong and she has to escape for a few days to a cabin, needless to say she doesnt count on her nemesis being there. Ian is gruff, grunts alot and gets on her nerves but the way they meet up in the cabin had me laughing out loud. Can these two get past their troubles and get along?? Secrets are revealed, drama galore and I wondered if this enemies to lovers story would have a good ending. Does Shelby’s foot in her mouth keep getting her into trouble or does Ian always take things the wrong way and get angry when he shouldnt?? What happens when Ian discovers a secret about his best friend??
An enjoyable witty read!
So fun!!!
Ms. Flynn is a master of the rom-com!! Her books are flirty, fun and steamy.
Ian & Shelby are terrific. Their awkward banter and sizzling chemistry make Loud Mouth unputdownable!
Filled with so much hotness and humor, Loud Mouth is another example of Avery Flynn’s perfect blend of sass and salsa. How can the reader not fall in love with the very broody Ian Petrov…or want to wrap him in a big ole hug! And the very spirited hockey blogger Shelby Blanton is definitely the right match for him…even if she did unintentionally spill the biggest secret in Ian’s life.
What starts out as a one night let’s-stay-warm encounter soon overlaps to not only other zip codes throughout the country but their home town as well. Naturally, miscommunication and not talking about their feelings never helps any relationship, but it makes for excellent storytelling.
Longtime fans will see cameos and mentions of characters from previous books, but the first time reader who jumps into the series will have no problems following along, as Loud Mouth is a stand-alone book. Of course, this fan hopes to see Alex’s book at some point, but until then, I’ll just one-click any book Ms. Flynn decides to publish.
Hockey + Romance + Romcom author Avery Flynn = 5 star read!!!
Ian Petrov felt like he had the puck dropped on him when he found out he was the half-brother of his best friend and teammate… He really needed to get away for a few days, and maybe that would help his hand heal and his head stop spinning…
Tatted up, squeaky voiced Shelby Blanton, author and owner of The Biscuit hockey blog, made some mistakes in her life…not checking the bathroom stalls before talking to her mom was one of them…she really needed somewhere to lay low and get away for a few days…
LOUD MOUTH is a hilarious, romantic comedy and the 3rd book in the Ice Knights series. Author Avery Flynn is fantastic at writing a well-flowing and creative hockey based romance that will have you swooning, smiling, and in love with the characters! I adored this book and can I just say…THE AIRPORT SCENE!!! My heart!!!! 5 pucking stars from me!!!
Thank you Entangled Publishing for my ARC
I was so happy to receive the ARC of Loud Mouth. I just recently listened to the first two Ice Knights stories, and I needed more.
I am a fan of an enemies to lovers story. I love the spark and snark between our lovelies. You know that when the get their sh!t together things are going to be explosive.
I mean the sexual tension between them can be felt off the page.
Shelby is a lot of fun. Life has given her lemons, and she is now fighting her past and making lemonade. I loved that she has had to fight for what she has.
There is the perfect balance of humour and emotion. I adore Shelby’s sass, and I need a Petrov to growl at me
I hope we get more of the Ice Knights in the future.
Avery Flynn always writes a fun story. Shelby is a hilarious character. From her inner monologues, to her inappropriate outbursts, it all matches to her tattoos and wild hairstyles. Ian is her total opposite, totally bottomed up and hard to understand. These two should not be in the same room for fear of combustion, but when it happens it oh so hilarious to watch. You will absolutely enjoy these fun characters the author has once again created in this series for your reading pleasure.
