Dueling. She’s the best around. He knows he’s better, but as a newcomer he keeps quiet. Until the town bully picks one fight too many. ~ ~ ~ Tired of drifting from port to port on her family’s schooner, teen witch Coral is desperate to find a place where she fits in. Then she discovers the illegal world of magical dueling. She can let her wayward magic fly and finally make friends—if she can hide … finally make friends—if she can hide the competitions from her parents.
A young wizard of prodigious skill, Ty Sterling dreams of a life on the sea. Yet, in this tightly knit enclave of seafaring folk, no one will give a landlubber with no apparent skills a place on board their vessel, and Ty can’t disclose his special training.
As Coral climbs the dueling ranks, the stakes with the town bully go even higher. Her place as a duelist and her work with her beloved dolphins are turning with the tide—until newcomer Ty becomes an ally. Will they find enough trust in each other, despite their secrets, to stay afloat?
LOST WHISPERER OF THE SEAS continues the journey of a generation of magic-wielders as they restore their connections to nature and community.
Can be read as a first in the series.
A sweet romance appropriate for adults and young adults. Contains no sex or graphic violence. Some mild cursing.

Lost Whisperer of the Seas (The Windborne Book 3) by Laurel Wanrow is a story that I have fallen very much in love with. If you love reading about magic as much as I do then I can not recommend this story any higher than I am doing. You will definately love this story very much.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Laurel Wanrow has a gift for storytelling that is as entertaining as it is fanciful, all while being “Earth” positive! LOST WHISPERER OF THE SEAS continues her young adult fantasy series about a magical community that strives to maintain a connection to nature, as well as to each other.
Coral’s magic can be as wild as it is powerful, but life on the seas can be boring and she is drawn in by the world of illegal magical dueling, where, of course she gets caught and her parents quash her magic as punishment, but can the headstrong girl face her peers without her magic? How can she keep it hidden?
Ty dreams of a life at sea, a powerful wizard with intense training under his belt, this tiny seaside town is better off not knowing just how much he knows as he searches for someone to train him in sailing. Coral has the knowledge, her family has the vessel and these two share a mutual attraction that causes sparks to fly! But shouldn’t Coral be completely honest with Ty? What will Ty think when he discovers Coral currently has no magic available to her? Will it matter?
Perfectly suited for young adults with a moral compass pointing due North, in spite of the temptations these two teens feel, I love how Laurel Wanrow places an everyday dilemma in front of these teens and they must decide between right and wrong, all while being caught up in a magical world that is a little quirky and a lot of fun!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Laurel Wanrow!
This is the 3rd book of the Windborne series and I absolutely loved it…maybe the best of the series but I am partial to the ocean and marine life…
I really liked meeting Coral, getting to know her and her family! Coral of the Seas is a fiesty witch who doesn’t make the best decisions in her life…like illegal magical dueling but Ty walks into her life and she is now questioning what she has been doing…
There is so much to this story so I took my time in reading it so that I could actually enjoy the storyline…
Will Coral give up the magical dueling? What is in store for Coral and Ty? You will have to read the book to find out….TRUST ME when I say you won’t regret picking this series up!!
Can’t wait for the novella on Coral’s brother!
I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest and open opinion…and this is it!
This is the third book in the Windborne series, and I absolutely loved getting to know Coral and all the new characters in this book. And it was fun to have some of my favorites from the other two books pop in. I really liked Coral. She was tough and spoke her mind. She definitely didn’t always make the best decisions, but she accepted responsibility when things went wrong and learned from her mistakes. Her family was so much fun, and I’m really looking forward to the novella featuring her brother.
