The New York Times Bestelling New Adult Romance
People come into our lives. Some stay, and many go. Some build us up, while most tear us down. They become our friends, our enemies, our lovers, our tormentors. Christian Davison came into mine, and I knew I’d never be the same.
To Elizabeth Ayers, New York City had always been a dream. She’s worked her entire young life to make it here.
… make it here.
Groomed to one day take over his father’s law firm, attending Columbia University was Christian Davison’s only option.
Neither wanted anything more until they sat across from each other at a café table after being paired as study partners. Christian wants her, but Elizabeth knows better than to give into their intense attraction. Yet there is little she can do to stay away.
“One of my all-time favorite love stories. AL Jackson is one of the most talented authors I’ve ever read. Her words have a way of reaching deep into your heart and not letting go.” Aestas Book Blog

This was a good start to the series, I am curious to see what happens to Christian and Elizabeth now that they have finally gotten together. I have to say that I really disliked Christian’s parents, I had hoped that at least one of them would be a good parent but sadly NO 🙁
This is the first book I have read by A.L. Jackson but I have a few other books of her on my TBR shelf and I just added the rest of this series so I know this will not be the last of her work that I read. 🙂
I love Andi Arndt’s naration, she is truly talented. She has has a gift in the way she can change her voice for each character and it’s so clearly done that there is no guessing about who’s POV she’s portraying.
I would definitely recommend this audiobook, which is currently available in the romance package. Happy Reading or listening, whichever you prefer.
This one definitely made me want more. It was just a spicy taste of a story. I feel like I need to know more about Elizabeth and Christian.
Beautiful beginning of two young people falling in love. I’m guessing the roads won’t be smooth for Elizabeth and Christian, just from dinner with his parents. I can’t wait to discover more of what sounds like an epic love story.
*5 Stars*
This was my first book by AL Jackson, and it won’t be my last. I definitely want to continue this series, and to try her other books as well.
Christian and Elizabeth have an undeniable attraction to each other, one they’re both fighting. Even with them being just friends, the connection between them is awesome, and I enjoyed their moments together.
I was waiting for the inevitable moment that they would finally move past the just friends stage, and when things really started happen, boy did they happen. Although, nothing was too crazy until that ending. And that ending? Man! I need to read the next book ASAP!
I didn’t realize this is the prequel to the series. I could NOT imagine having read the other two books before this one. So thankful she decided to write how it all started. This best friends to lovers romance was so cute, sweet and passionate. I loved everything about Elizabeth and Christian. I had to start the second book, Take this Regret, immediately to find out what happened next.
I know this is just the start of their story. I look forward to the rest of the books. I have a feeling I’ll be reading a lot of heartache. I really enjoy this authors writing and look forward to reading more of her books.
Christian and Elizabeth are at an impass, even though Christian and Elizabeth seem to love each other an unplanned pregnancy has them looking for different outcomes. Take This Regret will tell what happens next!
Okay but not great…
This prequal is the beginning to Christian and Elizabeth’s story
This is a tale of opposites attract, young love, friendship, mistakes and regret.
The connection and chemistry this pair share is intense, and undeniable.
Christian is charming, ambitious, and possessive, whilst Elizabeth is smart, focussed and innocent.
Told from a dual point of view, this title is incredibly well written and leave you anxious for more of their story.
Finding the person that makes your heart skip with each word they utter is a gift all on its own. For Christian and Elizabeth – a simple class assignment will lead them into a friendship that neither could have imagined.
Christian is the guy that seems to have it all. A future all planned out by his parents, the ability to live the way he chooses, and the assuredness that comes from a life of privilege. Elizabeth is everything that Christian is NOT. From her desire to move to a city that plagued her dreams, to the sweetness that Elizabeth exuded with each smile on her face….nothing about Elizabeth was like the type of person that Christian typically found himself in the company of.
As the two continued to engage as study partners, Elizabeth and Christian were finding the lines of their friendship strained. Their attraction was growing by the day, but neither wanted to risking losing the bonds that they had formed. When the attraction becomes too much, where will their friendship land? Can the two find a way to remain friends and delve into the affection that is so prominent in their relationship?
Lost to You is the prequel to the Regret Series by A.L. Jackson. It is an emotional journey between Christian and Elizabeth that will definitely lead you on a romantic road to finding one’s soul mate. It is a road riddled with friendship, romance, and epic heartbreak. After all, don’t we all remember that college romance that exists in our own past?
Jackson will pull you into Christian and Elizabeth’s life while creating a world of ‘opposites’ for the two characters. Personally – I was pulled into this story from start to finish. Never wanting to put my reader down!! It is an emotional journey that will shed light on just how these two characters find themselves on the paths that their lives have directed them upon. Discover where Christian and Elizabeth’s journey began……you can thank me later!!
I loved reading in both POVs. Elizabeth & Christian couldn’t be anymore different. The way they were brought up, how they looked at life & their goals for the future. I could see why Elizabeth had her reservations about him. But their connection was UNDENIABLE. I really liked that they became friends first. Seeing them form a geniune friendship was everything. Throughout the whole book I was either SQUEALING or GIGGLING like a total fangirl clutching my kindle against my chest. I think being young, the concept of love can be a very SCARY cliff to jump off of. I think for someone like Christian it’s even harder to recognize or even admit. The ending was done so tastefully & it left me wanting more. (Sigh)
