3 1/2 stars. I loved the pace of this book. It was exciting and the author kept the suspense up. There were a few times when I was so mad at the character for being stupid, I had to put the book down and walk away. Sometimes I can’t decide if that’s a good thing because I’m super invested in the characters or a bad thing because it pulled me out of the story. I wasn’t sure if she wasn’t going to be able to close up all the loops because there was so much happening that something I had a hard time following it all, but she wrapped it all up at the end and even had a “whoa, I did not see that coming” kind of ending.
Amazing! I absolutely loved this book. I was completely pulled into this series from the first book (Lost Girl) and wanted nothing more than to read the entire series. Chanda Hahn did an excellent job continuing this story and keeping me engaged and wanting more. I didn’t expect the story to go how it did, but I loved that it was something different and not the typical storyline.
Wow! The third installment of the Neverwood Chronicles has ended and it contained all the feels. The writing was phenominal, the pacing was fast and unexpected, and the ending, while neat and tidy, was a beautiful ending to the trilogy. The struggles and love that permeated this book made for a thrilling journey. What started as insta-love (for reasons that became clear as the story unfolded), it was so easy to root for Wendy and Peter. Jax couldn’t compete with Peter and their struggles to survive and make it back to each other definitely grabbed some heart strings.
As with the other two, the throwbacks to the original story made me smile as Chanda wove the time old story we love with a new adventure just as enjoyable. Those little touches just made all the creative license so much more brilliant, in my opinion.
But it’s so sad this story ended! The characters were unforgettable and seemed like old friends after three books. This third book delivered on everything it promised. It was clean, witty, and exciting and that is so hard to find in fairytale retellings. Hopefully there are more to come!
Oh my goodness this book is so good! Ok, first off, this is the third book in this series. If you are buying this book, stop and buy the other two books also (Lost Girl and Lost Boy). The whole series is just too good not to read in order, and gets better with each book. I’m a little sad it’s over. It was just too fun to read. This book maybe the best book in the series. It has twists and turns and keeps you hooked the whole way through (pun intended). This book takes you back to Neverland and shows you a side of the island you’ve never seen before. Peter and Wendy capture you with adventure and lead you on an emotional rollercoaster. I think you will love it as much as I did. It’s a must read.
This was the last book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. The love triangle between Wendy, Jax and Peter was definitely different. The twist at the end was unexpected. The main good characters became like friends to me as I read. I was kinda cheering for Jax. I was happy with the end though. Great book!
I am so sad this series has come to an end but also so happy with how it ended! I have read and enjoyed every one of Chanda Hahn’s books and this one was definitely no exception! I have no idea where her brilliant ideas come from but I am so happy she continues to write and end such great series!
