This is a fun listen. Gracie and her best friend, had me laughing throughout this story. Gracie’s boss was difficult, domineering and a perfectionist. When she had the surprise opportunity to quit, she did. When she went on a singles cruise, thats when things heated up for her. She met her match! This story had a few surprises.
Tia Johnson was great as a narrator. She brought this story to life. Giving all the emotions and voices to each character. Everything was great except the actual recording , it seemed not as professional as it should have been. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.
Gracie lost hard, and won big. I cannot even begin to imagine the rollercoaster of emotions that brings. But Jude Ouvard writes all of those emotions and struggles that helped me to imagine it. Austin was not a great boss, but when Gracie leaves, he has to have her back. THis push and pull creates an intriguing romance and I could not stop reading because I just had to know what was next. I really enjoyed the changes in Gracie’s life that kept her true to herself and kept Austin chasing her. The chase is always half the fun. Jude Ouvard brought out the fun, banter and struggles with ease through her writing.
Tia Johnson has a great voice to listen to. I easily got lost in her narration and felt as if I was within the pages of the story, TIa was able to keep the characters seperate and easy to follow. Her narration enhanced the experience of this listen.

What would you do if you were widowed and won the lottery? Gracie finds herself alone, wealthy and unhappy at her job. She quits, but now has too much time on her hands. Hookups and shopping just are not doing it for her. When she is given the opportunity to take a cruise with her perfect match, she jumps at the chance! Austin was Gracie’s boss. Disgruntled and tough, he drives his employees crazy. But with Gracie, it’s his attraction to her that makes him even tougher. Now that she’s gone, he will do just about anything to get her attention. Will he be able to catch her eye? I enjoyed this look at life from Gracie’s perspective. Austin is just like a big teddy bear for me. His gruff exterior is his armor. It’s a fun, quirky journey to finding their chance at happiness.
Tia Johnson has a good voice and pace. It’s my first listen by her and I found her voices to be good for the characters, and she transitioned well between male and female. The one thing I did find is that there is a hollowness or tinny sound to the narration which at times is distracting.

Terrific Story & Audible Listen A Heartfelt Delight!
Lost & Rich

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written and well told. Jude Ouvrard created interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are complex and well developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored the lead character, Gracie, she had a great disposition and personality, despite all she had been through. She handled her arsehole of a boss with kid gloves, took his bossiness, arrogance and alphatude with a grain of salt, not letting it get to her. She had the best best friend too, I loved those two together. Gracie’s life turns around after she hits lotto, first things first she quits her job, then starts to make life changes and sets out to find what she wants. Austin Pulley misses Gracie, he tries to talk to her but she does not give him the time of day. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some great humor, lots of heartfelt moments and the start of a great romance. Jude Ouvrard, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Tia Johnson did a nice narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen
I loved this story! The characters have a wonderful relationship with each other (Well all except for her boss). When that first kiss came?? Cue the tummy flutters..actually I think they arrived anytime they had scenes together after the accident. I really loved Austin. He became more human as the story progressed and I was pleased and surprised to see that happen to him.
This story was simply wonderful! The characters really had some growth to them.
I did listen to this on audio. Tia Johnson did a good job.
