Now the last Marquis of Lorne, the last of the Lorimers, is one of those ghosts, and the Duke of Kendal, head of the House of Normington, holds the castle.
Kendal doesn’t care about the feud or the ghosts. He wants only to find the evidence that will legitimate the son his Lorimer bride bore him before her death, and to convince his stubborn housekeeper to marry him.
But the time allotted to the curse is running out, and his happiness depends on finding the Lost Treasure of Lorne before the 300 years draws to a close. (novella)

A good collection of short stories perfect for people wanting some romance but short on time. I adore the author’s writing style.
Interesting and entertaining set of stories that have lots of twists and turns and a little bit of the paranormal. Good historical books that keep you turning the page. Intriguing and complex issues follow some of the characters. Great introduction to this author.

Second chances
Abound in this collection of short stories that range from historical, paranormal and twists and turns.
Recommend.
Five stories about love lost and then found again. I loved the quick stories about couples who had loved each other and then been separated, thought lost or killed but then found each other after much time and heartache had passes. I especially loved the last longer story. About love lost, love denied, and a new love found. And the mystery to be solved. This is a very enjoyable set of 4 short stories and one novella. They all have different characters, plots, and circumstances. What they all share is romance, good writing, a little quirkiness, and fun humor. The stories are diverse with elements including misunderstandings, secrets, lies, lost loves, werewolves, curses, ghosts, and more. I loved some of the stories and characters so much that I wish there were longer books about them. If you like shorter stories, I don’t think you will be disappointed in this collection.

This is an interesting and enjoyable collection with stories concerning lost loves. Through lies, manipulation, circumstances, misunderstanding, errant asumptions couples are separated. Life has a way of bringing them back together, sometimes in most unusual ways. Ioftrn feel like I am comingin at the middle of the story, but that is just the way this author writes. So hang in there if you are a tad confused, for it will all fall into place and be most definitely worth your while

I love Jude Knight’s books, especially her anthologies. I’m always amazed of how much she can fit in one short story and how great the characters and the romance are. This one is just as good as the others and I loved them. They were diverse stories with different and romantic plots and were truly enjoyable, short reads. I would definitely recommend this anthology to anyone wanting a short, romantic read anytime.
This is a set of four short stories and a novella that are well written and that I enjoyed reading. I would say this is a set that is well worth reading.
The Lost Wife
A sweet short story of loss and reunion in the midst of war.
Heart of a wolf
A short paranormal wolf shifter second chance with some additional magical parts.
My lost Highland lass
An enjoyable short – especially the language barrier. I enjoyed these characters and how their reunion came about.
Magnus and the Christmas angel
A sweet Christmas short that finds husband and wife looking for the one they knew as a child. I liked the characters and their experiences.
Lost treasure of Lorne
I’ll be honest, I read the synopsis for this novella and saw that it’s about ghosts, and I didn’t even start it. Really not my paranormal cup of tea.

This book contains four short stories and a novella to entertain and surprise you. The blurb gives a lengthy summary of the stories you will find inside, and the variety is quite good! You will find some twists and turns in the stories that will take you by surprise. Well-written and intriguing enough to draw the reader into the story line, the characters are interesting and likable. This book is definitely worth your time and attention!
Good quick reads
Delightful collection of short stories. A little bit of everything. My favorite was The Heart of a Wolf. It was a love hate for me. I loved Isadoras various names for Sebastian such as, Duke of Arrogance, His Gracelessness and The Duke Omniscience which was my fave because he definitely thought he knew everything. I hated how she quickly what seemed liked little pet names, numbskul and nincompoop.
The Lost Treasure of Lorne had a good story line just too many characters.
They were all good short stories I just with they had been longer.

A unique collection.
For those of us that like a short read before bed, at lunch, or maybe a break doing the day then this is a collection you should have. Each story is a short and easy read so it will fit the bill splendidly. Each tale is well-written and a very pleasant way to spend your time. You will also find that there are some twists in the story that will surprise you and I cannot forget an orphaned kitten (I am a sucker for kittens). Lost loves, fantasy, adventure, and drama await you in this unique collection. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

What an unusual premises for an anthology! A sampling of Jude Knight’s tales. The characters, and story situation were proposed by the winner of a competition. The basics may have been suggested but it was the author’s talent that brought them to life. My favorite in the grouping surprised me. Although I do read fantasy and paranormal offerings, I am not too crazy about vampires or werewolves. The Heart of a Wolf advocated a type of werewolf much different from the Hollywood horror movie versions. I would have loved to read a full novel based on these characters. Ghosts abound in the final novella. Ghosts who are trying to communicate with the living and not succeeding very well. Afterall, breaking the curse is as important to them as it is to the breathing inhabitants of the castle. In the ending the reader is treated to the author’s marvelous imagination. This is a collection of very quick reads, but very enjoyable just the same. Some tales I would have loved to read a longer selection. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
