Read what reviewers are saying about Lost Girls
‘Love it, love it, love it! If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. Suffice to say this is a 5++++++++ star read once again for me. The author has done it again, produced a story which kept me reading, in one sitting, until I reached the end … I would put this story alongside books from authors such as James Patterson. It has instantly gone to the top of my favourites list, as has the author.’ Fiona’s Book Reviews

I have read every book of the DI Kim Stone series – and highly recommend all of them.
Highly recommended
The book was great!!! Did not want to put it down.
This book keeps you interested not wanting to put it down.
Suspenseful book, very entertaining
Very real characters. My only objection at all was the use of Jesus as a curse word.
I love this series! The crimes are horrific but they aren’t the main focus of the book, it’s more of a “who done it”. The characters are written realistically and despite the work they do, they are very funny in their interactions with each other. There’s an element of mystery to the main character’s background and each book uncovers a little bit more. The series is written so well that it’s hard to stop, I find myself wanting to read one more page before closing the book.
Repressed traumatic memories become a painful descent into madness.
Reading this book, for me, became painful. I found the descent into madness difficult to read, with the main character self-medicating with alcohol. The plot does twist towards the end with several traumatic, repressed memories finally coming to light. Even after those revelations, there’s a surprise ending that I totally didn’t see coming, Still, it seemed less of a mystery and more of a nightmare, without much drama, through most of the book. I didn’t feel any supernatural drama or terror. The writing is fine, the characters well developed; it just isn’t my kind of story. I’m sure it will have most readers spellbound.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Lost Girls is my favourite Kim Dtone book yet. A simple premise (2 girls snatched for ransom) is carefully weaved into a tautly plotted thrillride of emotion and turmoil. As I crossed the halfway point I was totally gripped and couldn’t turn the pages quickly enough to discover whether the girls would be found in time and who the real culprit was. I thought I’d figured it out, only to be surprised by yet another brilliant twist. Had to post my review straightaway before I get my breath back. 5 stars!
This intense episode in the DI Kim Stone series had me glued to the page. When two children are kidnapped, Stone reluctantly enters the investigation which immediately adds to the tension. Time is of the essence in this novel and the stakes are high, which equals ‘big time page-turner.’
I love Kim’s character. She’s guarded, she’s brave and she’s human. She’s a little curt but I actually admire that, especially when she tells it as it is. You’d definitely know where you stood with Kim. She’ll also stop at nothing to drive the investigation forward and Angela Marsons brings her character to life brilliantly.
This story had me guessing from the beginning and, in the end, proved I was way off the mark with my theories. The ending was a killer! Not literally a killer, or maybe it was. Maybe I’m just throwing you off the scent! Either way, you’ll get nothing from me. Lips are zipped!
If you want to know more, you’ll have to read the book. I promise, this one will keep you up at night, cause you to neglect your work and make you happy your train got pulled over for an hour because of a signal failure – true story. Hoorah for rail failures!
An excellent and exciting police procedural that will keep you guessing.
The end was really a twister
Can you think of anything more HORRIFIC than having to bid for your child against your friends child?? I can not even begin to image what a parent could feel going through that.
THIS STORY LINE WAS SO UNIQUE AND INTRIGUING….I cried…and the twists…AMAZING WRITER.
I was reading this waiting for the train to pass, out to lunch, okay in the bathroom, walking the dog…COULD NOT TURN PAGES FAST ENOUGH.
I showed that life can change on a dime…
SO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR. I am just surprised I never found her before. Now, I just keep buying the next and the next…and the next.
Super good book. Love the main character, Kim. Over the top OCD detective.
Highly recommend.
Better than average murder mystery.
A must read. It was a page turner. I really enjoyed it. One of the best.
Great read. Couldn’t put it down!
I think I’ve read all of Angela Marson’s Kim Stone, DI books. I would so recommend all. They are psychological, have creep-you-out villains, but DI Stone always gets her quarry. There is a backstory on what motivates Stone that is well done, too. I enjoy Marson’s writing and look forward to each new book. Eat ’em up!
Kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. Never guessed the ending either.
A great story that keeps you in suspense!
Well written. Haunting and suspenseful.
