Wendy doesn’t remember anything about Neverland—or the experiments done on her there as a child. Seven years later, all she wants is a normal life, but shape-shifting shadows plague her dreams and turn her life into a waking nightmare. When the shadows attack at a football game and a boy disappears right in front of her, she realizes these wraith-like shadows are real. They’re not just … haunting—they’re hunting.
A mysterious boy named Peter, his foul-mouthed sidekick, and a band of misfit boys intervene before Wendy faces a similar fate. But can they trust Wendy enough to take her to Neverwood Academy and reveal all of their hidden secrets when she’s hiding a secret of her own, or will the dreaded Red Skulls find her and drag her back to Neverland?

Blown away by the imagination Chanda shows us by reimagining this classic take. I love it!
If you love revamped fairytales/stories, you are going to love this book. This is such a darker side to Peter Pan with subtle nods to the classic. Wendy can’t remember her past but is seeing shadows. Will she ever be free of them? Peter is amazing and I just loved the twist of Tinkerbell using bells to cover up cursing, genius! This is a book that really draws you in and keeps moving. You aren’t going to be able to put it down! Man, this book is so good. I can’t wait for Lost Boy!
Yet another amazing beginning by Chanda Hahn, from the first pages I was completely hooked!
Wow!! I absolutely love the spin of this series!!
I Just finished reading the book and just like that it ended!! Oh man I need answers and I’m starting to feel the hangover. Cannot wait for the next book! I really enjoyed this spin of the story! Loved it!!
You know how you sometimes fall head over heels in love with a book or book series and it just leaves a huge impression on your heart and you get happy just thinking about said series? (Yes, I honestly feel that way about all Chanda’s books, but still!).
Well, the Neverwood Chronicles has done that to me.
I do not want to leave any spoilers here, I just lovelovelove the NW books!! The characters, the story, the action, the COMPLETELY ADORABLE romance, the comedy, the EVERYTHING. You may laugh, cry and grip the edge of your seat. If you like Chanda’s other books, young adult romance/action or just books that relate to the Peter Pan story (but this one is such a awesome twist!) then give Lost Girl a try! Maybe it will captivate your heart like it has mine.
I loved this original take on Wendy from Peter Pan! It’s like no other story I’ve ever heard for it! I was unsure what to expect when I first started it. I had in my mind how Peter Pan goes and how Wendy should be but this took it in a whole new direction that I surprisingly loved!
Very interesting take on the Peter pan story. I really liked this set in the modern world. Can’t wait to read the others in this series!
This is an enchanting story that sucks you in from the very first page. I could sympathize with Wendy and the lost boys. My favorite character for sure is Tink it gave a whole unique layer to her compared to the traditional story. If your like me you will devour every page and it will leave you wanting more.
I enjoy this author’s spins on fairy tails and this was no exception. Lost Girl was a great story and the connections to the fairy tale are imaginitive and much darker. I definitely recommend this one! There is a cliff-hanger and it is part of a trilogy though I don’t think the last book has been released as of this review.
A twist on Wendy and Neverland. This book is unique and original. Plot twists abound. Characters are compelling. The finishing scenes are a surprise. Good book.
Twist on the tale of “Peter Pan”. Sci Fi fantasy is more of where I’d put this. Closer to young adult reading. I enjoyed it and the twists of explanation. Recognizing some of the main characters in “Peter Pan”. Interesting enough to buy the next book by the author.
I am in love with this book and all things Neverland!! So it would not be surprising that I am also in love with this spin off the storyline of “Peter Pan”!! I loved it all! It was haunting, uplifting, and and downright hilarious at all the right moments!! “Lost Girl” is a must read!!! You have to read this book!! Wendy and the lost boys all have chilling pasts, but what they make of their life after that adversity is truly inspiring!! Read this book and I do not think you will be disappointed.
Fantastic read! Couldn’t put it down!
This was a well-crafted variation of the Peter Pan story. Suspenseful without being overpowering, characters I cared about, and an intriguing twist to reinvent the tale.
I loved this book. The characters are all so loveable! It was refreshingly original. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
Another cliff hanger, but it was enjoyable to read.
Slow starting but worth sticking with once it gets really going.
Can’t wait to read more of this series!
I liked the different take on Wendy and Peter Pan. About the only thin it has in common with the boy who doesn’t want to grow up is the names.
The only problem is it ends in the middle of the story. You have to get the next book to know if there is a “happily ever after “
Loved it! Interesting twist on an old favorite
