5 SWEET stars! There is a hot football player and a sweet innocent heroine inside. This is a must read!
Me, like everybody in the reading community, love discovering new authors. This is the first time I read something from Anna and I am glad I have the opportunity to read her work. It was worthy of every minute I spend reading her book.
Lost and Found is the first installment of the New York Knights Series. I enjoy everything about it. The plot is well developed. Each page was a fabulous pleasure. I couldn’t put it down. There were times that I wanted to throw my e-reader because of Anabel and William’s stubbornness.
This book have all the elements I love. It mixes pretty well the Sport Romance and Friends to Lovers genres. Give me a hot football player and I am in. Give me a good love story and I am in.
“I should stay away from William Price. That was the plan! He is a temptation, and I can’t allow myself to veer off the way.”
Anna gifted us a hot football player and a sweet innocent heroine. They are a perfect match.
“William is like chocolate. Once you start eating it, you crave it more and more until you become addicted.”
William is the definition of an alpha. He is cocky, possessive and sweet. William Prince is temptation wrapped in a sinful body and powerful soul. He is focused on his career. Football is his life and winning the Super Bowl is his big dream. He is so passionate and dedicated nevertheless his world will be turned upside down because of a cute Tinkerbell.
“I’m not a patient man. I take what I want, simple as that.”
Anabel is a good girl, hardworking and intelligent but she is missing something. She is not conformist. She wants something bigger than staying locked up without discovering the world. She craves it. Taking a job in the States will be a big opportunity to explore a new culture. She wasn’t expecting to find a deep connection with a man. She hasn’t been interested in that until she met Will. She knows he is dangerous. She knows he can break her heart. William Prince is her kryptonite and she should stay away from him.
“He marked me. William Price marked me so deeply and ruined me for everybody else.”
William Prince and Anabel Majer are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is explosive and deliciously forbidden. The push and pull game they play was fierce. I enjoyed eagerly the way they interact together.
I highly recommend this book. It is carefully writing and I need more of William and Anabel’s story. This book is a must read. Anna left me wanting more. She is a talented writer. This is the first book she writes in English language and she did a great work. I can’t wait to read the following books in the series.
What a great slow burn romance!!! I loved William’s persistence of Anabel. He had a instant connection with her even though she wouldn’t admit her feelings toward him. He would not give up on her which made me fall in love with him immediately. There were times that I would get so annoyed with Anabel because she couldn’t see what a wonderful man William is. She eventually grew on me and I loved her. I really liked Ms. Doe’s writing style as William and Anabel’s love affair evoked heartwarming emotions from me. Lost & Found is not your typical romance story and I enjoyed the fact that it was unique with some edge and angsty moments. It’s a definite page turner filled with sensual love. I’m looking forward to reading their novella, Forever.
This was my first time reading Anna B. Doe, and I loved it and can’t wait to read more in this series and her other books!!! I loved the story of Anabel and William!! LOVED IT!!! I couldn’t put it down, and only did when I absolutely had to!
I really enjoyed how they met in the night club, and how Anabel became fast friends with Sienna.
Poor Will being pulled in so many directions by Anabel, as she can’t make her mind up. Man he was persistent but not in a creepy, stalker way LOL!!
OMG! The last couple of chapters:
When it finally happened!!! I felt all the emotions from both parties!
When Will went looking for Anabel, and found her!! *SWOON*
I can’t wait to read more of Anna’s books.
Some of my fave moments in the book:
I stop so suddenly that I almost collide with a tree. – I laughed so hard at this! I could imagine a football player almost running into a tree.
“Well, I like this freaking girl, Shelton,” I confess in a loud whisper, pointing my finer at him. “So shut the fuck up.” When Will confesses to his friend that he really likes Anabel. *SWOON WORTHY*
“Don’t worry, Shelton. I won’t come talk to you about my feelings any time soon. After all, you have to be man enough to talk about them, and you obviously aren’t” – GO WILL!!! I was cheering him on!
“Now, be a good boy and watch it quietly.” – I love that Anabel put Will in his place with watching chick flicks!
It’s the only word I need to hear, to see, right now. – When Will find the ring, and sees what word is on it!!! *I CRIED*
William and Anabel’s story made me believe in the old saying “love will conquer all”. They had so many hurdles to tackle and the path that they were on helped them to find each other.
Beautifully written.

Talk about a slow burn!! The story of Anabel and William unfolds over the course of a year, with a constant push and pull that makes you want to scream. William is so unbelievably sweet, even for a big football player, that I wanted to shake Ana, MANY TIMES, for not just giving into him. And I wanted to hug Will and tell him that it was ok she was being a big meanie-pants, because I was there for him.
I love that this book is safe (i.e. Will doesn’t go try to screw someone else to get over Ana, and Ana sure as hell didn’t go out on dates or anything with other guys). Will might constantly say that needs to get laid, that’s why he was so crazy over his Tinkerbell, but he never made moves to rectify the situation (okay, ONCE he went with someone else to some thing because he needed a date and Ana was being mean but he didn’t put the moves on his date at ALL).
The reason that this got 4.5 stars instead of 5 for me was because of Ana. One, she was lying to herself like, the whole time. There were times she was honest with herself, but when her friends pushed to her to be honest with herself and them, she was usually witchy back to them. And then there were the times her fear made her lash out at William, giving him major hot and cold feels. At first, it was a huge turn off. But then the more I read, the more I understood Ana, and the more my heart ached for her too. She was lost in school, not really sure what to do, so traveled half way across the year to be a companion. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love with the family, or make friends, and she was definitely not supposed to fall in love. She tried so hard not to, but she did.
Will did not make it easy on her either. He pulled out all the stops to get her to fall for him. The ending just about broke me. And Forever comes out soon and all I can think is that it needs to be EPIC (which it probably will, because so far Anna is an amazing author), but I’m also terrified of what’s going to happen because the teaser said it was heartbreaking and I just don’t know if I’m mentally prepared enough for this. I need epilogues with marriage and babies and Happily Ever Afters, thank you very much (that was me asking very politely Anna, but I need it like Spongebob needs water!!).
Anabel Majer wants to experience life outside of her country. She wants adventure she excitement, wanting to leave Zadar, Croatia. After getting her degree in English she decides she is going to New York City, USA. By the fall she is in New York working as Nanny. She seems to really love her job, she loves the family she is with. She befriends Sienna (who is the sister of the women she works for). Sienna seems to pull Anabel out of her closed shell.
Sienna is a model, the aunt to the children that Anabel takes care of. Sienna is a take no bull shit type of women, works hard and plays harder. I like this chick! Not pretentious or self centered. This girl is very sincere and loving and kind.
William Price is a football quarterback he could have any woman he wants, but he doesn’t want just any woman. He wants something special. He is ready to find love.
Anabel does not want to get involved in a relationship as she knows it can’t be anything but temporary, not wanting to develop feelings for anyone when her stay in the States is brief. Then she bumps into William, and there is that electrical zing she felt between them. Intrigued by the man she bumped into wanting to meet him again her and Sienna head to the bar. All the while knowing she isn’t going to let anyone get close.
William can’t get the girl that bumped into him off his mind, then she is at the bar. And so begins the chase with William trying to get in Anabel’s life.
William gave chase to Anabel, and she truly gave him a run for his money! She just didn’t to get hurt or hurt anyone. Will she let him in? Does she finally admit to her feelings? She is a stubborn character this Anabel!
This book is so good for a debut novel!!! Bel is such a sweetheart. She is so caring and scared of getting herself hurt. She also went all the way across the world as an au pair and ends up taking care of the two best kids I’ve seen. Sienna would still be my fav tho. William is a hottie he loves Bel so much and never gave up on her. He kept on pursuing her tho she pushed him away. I loved the push and pull between them made their relationship much more fun. The ending left me wanting for more.
5 freaking stars
I’ve got this an ARC in exchange for an honest book.
This story right here is a story I would wish for myself, but unfortunately I don’t believe in miracles and hope so much.
William and Anabel were perfect! Their story was funny, happy, heartbreaking, gut twisting but overall so beautiful!
When I started reading this book I could already see myself in Anabel’s shoes with it all. Being an au pair (which I’m hoping to become next year), to find a friend, taking care of kids and being in a family that accepts her to bumping into a hot guy. A lot of times I had to stop reading because I was jealous and envy of her, but that’s my dumbass, haha. Otherwise I could understand every decision she made. To be honest it was wisely made. She doesn’t have a lot of time in the States so why “bother” having a relationship with someone when in the end it will end?
This story taught me that even if you leave and want to discover who you are as a person, you will, but don’t think it’s gonna be all positive and rainbow. I don’t mean this in a bad way, quite opposite! I’m never myself and am afraid of showing who I really am and I kind of can’t wait to get away from my home and discover and find out who I am…but as Bel later said: People will expect the same girl that left to return with no change. They will expect you to have amazing memories and no change in personality. Which as many know is not happening like ever. I’m scared of doing the first step, but after Bel’s story I need it! Even if I won’t have her experience, I’m willing to sacrifice a part of myself to find myself.
I can’t wait to read and finish Forever, but I think I need a little “envy/jealous” break from William & Anabel.
Lost & Found is the first book in the New York Knight series by Anna B. Doe.
This book is about Anabel and William. He is a well known football player and she is a Croatian girl who went to the US as an au pair for a year. They both live on different continents but how life is you never know where you found love.
Will total stole the show for me. I fell in love with this guy from the very first second. He is such a sweet guy and pretty much everything he does is swoon worthy. I must admit that I didn’t feel connected to Anabal like I usually do with a heroine. I do understand that she is more of the shy type of girl and that she has many doubts but most of the time I wanted to shake her and say why?! Most of the time I don’t understand why she did certain things because for me there was no real reason behind it.
Afterall for me this was a really wonderful story and I really liked the push and pull between the characters. I also loved the side storyline of Sienna and J. D. and can’t wait to read their story.
This book gets 3 stars from me but only really because I couldn’t connect to the heroine.
You should definitely give it a try!
This is the 1st part of this thrilling duet and is Anabel and William’s story. Anabel is facing an uncertain future in Croatia, and when she is given the chance of a job as an au pair in the US, she jumps at it. William is the star quarterback who is solely focused on achieving a super bowl winning title. These two are drawn to each other but Anabel knows that her time in the US is limited, and she fights her feeling. This is a well written story which is heartfelt, and with emotions, and love, and this story pulls at the heartstrings throughout.
4/5 2/5
Anabel & William meet at this bar, Ana doesn’t know nor really care who he is and William takes that opportunity. This is SLOOWWWW, I’m talking slow fucking burn. I had to continually stop reading because the characters really pissed me off but the kind of annoyance where you know and feel the tension between them
Anabel doesn’t mean to lead him on but with her inexperience with the states and men
This was a fluffy and cute read with there different backgrounds and lifestyle. She’s Croatian, He’s American, She’s on a work visa as a au pair/nanny, He’s a famous football player
What a story! Anabel and William drew me in and didn’t let me go. I loved these characters and also enjoyed the supporting characters I got to meet. The instant chemistry between the two was so intense and was really something that Anabel was not planning on. She was so set on protecting her heart and just staying focused on her reasons for coming to the states that she fought her feeling for William every time he would try to get past her walls. I wanted to grab her more than once and shake some sense into her for letting such an an amazing chance at love slip away.
William was also shocked by his attraction to Anabel. His need to be around her and get to know her was so sweet and even though she didn’t make it easy he continued to be there for her and show her that she was someone special to him.
This is a must read book for sure! I can’t wait to dive into book 2 so I can get Sienna’s story!

I enjoy reading from this author and to see a different but same side to her writing, that I’ve read, was pretty awesome!
Anabel is quite the character and for me I didn’t understand her feelings at the beginning. I understand feeling lost after college but it seemed to jump into the fact pretty quickly. I eventually started to like her but had my issues with the way she handled some things. I loved her friendship with Sienna and her ability to connect with her so quickly. William on the other hand had me frustrated for him, for their friends, family and myself. The back and forth was a pretty realistic aspect but one that REALLY got on my nerves.
This story has so many things left unsaid and I can’t wait to find out what happens with them and their best friends! Great read, a few mistakes but I’m sure they were dealt with in editing.
Lost & Found is the first book by this author that I have read and is also he first of the New York Knights series. I loved reading the first part of Anabel and William’s story. I can wait to see what happens in the next book.
When school is done, Anabel jumps at a chance to be an au pair; this will give her a chance to travel and see more than just Croatia. What she does not expect to find in this year abroad is William, a pro football player, that comes with fame and loads of issues that Anabel doesn’t want to deal with. After their second run in with each other, Anabel tries to just ignore him. Until New Years Eve, when her friend, Sienna, drags her out for a night of fun, what Sienna fails to mention is that Anabel’s date will be William. After a wonderful night, Anabel knows that there can be nothing more between her and William, she will just end up hurt in the long run. But what she doesn’t count on is that William is not going to go down without a fight, and he will do whatever she wants to prove that they deserve a chance.
This was a super slow story, as I sit here and struggle with how to put what I think in words, all I keep thinking is how slow this went. I guess one would call it a slow burn. With a couple that had loads of chemistry, one their first run in, it was a tangible thing, and somehow it still took forever for them to get anything sorted. I know why, obviously it’s no fun if they give in too quickly. But for me, IMO this was just dragging it out. I hate to say it, but by the time they did finally get around to being together, I was done with Anabel and she drove me crazy. I give this 3 stars as somehow the author kept me hooked just enough to see how they would get to their end game.
I have loved every book I have read by Doe, and Lost and Found is no different. Anabel is a Croatian girl who is lost and needs to find herself. In her venture, she heads to the United States to become an Au Pair for a family. Although Anabel seems hesitant in some parts of her life, she is very outgoing in others. She makes friends easily and is excellent at whatever she puts her heart into. I loved this character’s bravery and humbleness. However, when it comes to love I wanted to bop her on the head. For such an amazing woman she was dumb or too scared to embrace true love. Will Price is a famous, talented quarterback. He has all the attractive qualities one would want in their dream man; however, I can understand Anabel’s hesitancy with wanting to date Will, because of his history. How do you know that you’re the woman that will forever change the player of a man? Every lady wants to be that girl, but how do you know that you are truly the catalyst in the man’s life to want to change his ways? Even after Will has shown is dedication and true feelings, Anabel is stubborn in accepting his love. These were the times that I would find Anabel’s character frustrating. At the same time, it was awesome to be part of this world where a girl is so brave and outgoing that she discovers so much about herself. That when she finds a friend it’s a forever friend. When she loves it’s a love that will last the test of time. This story shows the ups and downs of traveling, trying new things, discovering yourself, and missing who you were. A great journey of character development.

Lost and Found is the first book in the New York Knights series by Anna B. Doe and it is amazing!!! With a title like Lost and Found you know, we are going to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
Anna B. Does does not disappoint. This story touches on so many emotional levels that it encompasses all the feels. Post collegiate life, moving away from family, making new friends and a new job are all intertwined in this novel. What is even better is that it’s not a one-sided story!! We get both points of view and all the feels coming from both main characters.
A well-written romance that had me zipping right through the pages. The chemistry between all the characters is off the charts.
Anabel, having just finished one phase of her schooling, decides to take an Au Pair job in America. Not knowing anyone or anything much of American culture or sports, life becomes a little more then what she thought. She simply wants to take a break, make some money and then go home and finish her schooling. But once chance night out with her boss’s sister has her path crossing William’s.
William is beyond frustrated, just wanting to win a Super Bowl ring is eating him alive. So a night out with the guys has him crossing paths with nonother than Anabel. And with a second chance encounter, he is doomed. She is stuck in his head and he can’t shake her.
The push and pull is so strong. Anabel’s supreme stubbornness makes this story come alive.
What I loved about Ms. Doe’s writing is that we also start to get glimpses of the next story through book 1. and I can’t wait for Sienna and J. D.’s story!!
Lost & Found takes you on a compelling journey through Anabel Majer and William Price lives. From the moment they meet leading into what would become a relationship that would face many obstacles into what they hope is there forever.
Anabel is unclear of what she wants to do in life so taking some time away from college and her life back home in Croatia and going to the States to be an au pair gives her more time to hopefully figure out things for herself. William is the quarterback for the New York Knights and his one goal is to earn a Super Bowl ring. Falling in love with each other was something neither of them planned. Anabel only has so much time in the States and is trying to avoid any kind of relationship that will only end in heartache but William isn’t willing to give up or let any obstacles stand in there way.
This book was captivating and I absolutely loved the characters. Once it ended I wasn’t ready for it to be over and just had to continue reading Anabel & Williams story up until there happy ending. So instead of going straight to Until after reading this one I went to Forever.
If you love a sweet, slow burn NA sports romance these books are definitely worth reading.
A wonderful and heart wrenching romance with great characters and storyline. Lost & Found is a story of living in the moment and finding true love when you aren’t looking.
William is the quarterback for New York Knights, Anabel is a nanny and here for only a limited time before returning home in another country. Neither of them expected to find love and when it’s time to return home she leaves without even a goodbye. He is hurt but can’t let her go, he knows she’s the one for him and now he has to prove that to her. True love always finds a way!

Lost & Found is the first book in the New York Knights series which can be read as a standalone or as the beginning of the series. This book is told in the first person POV of William and Anable. Lost & Found is a sports romance.
Anabel is lost as to who she is and who she wants to be. She is on break from her school and needs to figure out what to do with herself. Her best friend suggests that she goes to the States for a year and work as an au pair. Anabel is enjoying her time in the States, making friends and writing her book. While at a club, Anabel runs into a wall of beautiful mussel which sends shivers through her whole body.
William is the star Quarterback for the New York Knights and he wants to get to know Anabel better and be with her but she has walls up and does not want to let anyone in too far as she knows that her time in the States is limited and she eventually has to return to Croatia. William knows that there is no one else for him and he is willing to wait for her but when she disappears without a word he becomes determined to find her and make her see that she is the only one for him.
Lost & Found was the first book that I have read by Anna B. Doe and all though I did enjoy the book, I found it to be a little longer than I believe it needed to be. It follows the year in Anabel’s life that she is in the States and her return to Croatia. Anabel got on my nerves at times but I also could understand where she was coming from. William is a sexy saint of a football player.
