Bottom line: Another amazing heart-breaking and wonderful story in the Sixth Street Bands series… 5 stars.
Inspired and Emotional!
Chase and Taryn are both characters that you will fall in love with. They are flawed, scarred, loyal, and moving through life in a haze. Neither one of them have moved on from the tragedies and struggles of their past. When they meet there is an attraction and comfort that they find in each other. The sex is hot, but their budding “friendship” is fraught with obstacles. There are secrets, jealous exes, and personal demons that Chase and Taryn must navigate through. I laughed, cried, swooned, and found joy in their journey. Lost for You is a emotional love story that will make you reflect on how precious every moment of life is and how each day is a reason to hope!
I’m not sure exactly where to start with this book. It’s unlike any other Rocker Romance that I’ve read. Don’t get me wrong. Everything I expect from a rocker romance is there, the drug use, loose women, and drama. It’s all there. But this book takes place more on the fringes of the music scene, than in the middle of it.
Chase is an addict. He knows it. He admits it. He makes no excuses for it. Other than that, his life is golden. He is a businessman, has more money than he could ever spend, and women throw themselves at his feet. But he’s not really happy.
Taryn was happy. Until tragedy struck. Then everything fell apart. She manages to pull her life together, but she isn’t really happy either.
Chase and Taryn are together, but not really. They have an instant attraction, but their relationship is toxic. They have to figure out who they are, fix what is wrong, before they can move on. Things always get worse before they get better, and this story just proves that.
I was pulling for Chase and Taryn from the beginning, but there was so much standing in their way, I just didn’t see how it could happen. The author kept me guessing right up until the prologue. There weren’t a lot of laughs in this book, so if that’s what you are looking for, you won’t find it here. But despite the serious topics in this book, its a solid story that kept me engaged. The characters seem so real, with real world problems, tragedy, and drama. I could picture what was happening, but could never guess what was coming next.
This book is part of a series, but can definitely be read as a stand alone. There are recurring characters, but references to past events were minimal. I have however read the other books, and they are totally worth the time to read them!
Definitely, Worth Getting Lost In!
I can not rave enough about how much I enjoy the way Frost writes her characters
This series is a wonderful concoction of a variety of distinct and varying personalities- all brought together by the world of music
The struggles, as well as the victories, feel so real for me as a reader making it easy to connect on an emotional level with the characters
Chase to me is the behind the scenes rock for so many of the characters – he protects – he nurtures – he gives without asking for anything in return
He has his own demons that ride him daily and a past he tries to rise above. His story is a bit emotional but hang tight because some great surprises are coming his way
Tayrn is still battling her own demons and keeping the dead weight around – yes Beck – she finally makes some choices that are solely for her, things she believes she wants but she makes them (I felt ) under the wrong guise – can she find a balance between her past and the now?
This one has a bit more angst – more raw emotions as the characters deal with the white elephant they always seem to be stepping around
I realize it states this is a standalone but to be able to enjoy each moment on a more tangent level I suggest reading the series
5 ROCK stars! This book is a mind-blowing pleasure.
“You’re the smooth surface to all my jagged edges.”
Holy heaven! My mind was literally blown far away. Lost for You by Jayne Frost is an intense read that warmed my heart. I am a big fan of the Rock Stars / CEO Romance and this book just fed my soul with a brilliant story. This is the first time (and not the last) that I read Jayne Frost’s books. I have been missing a lot. She is a talented lady. Her writing is elegant and addictive.
The plot is unique. The characters are complex and strong. This book is a magnificent masterpiece, like a diamond, it is unique. The storyline is stunning. Every page was marvelous. Jayne gifted us a tormented CEO-singer-rockstar and a strong and full of spirit heroine. She did an excellent job with their story. I couldn’t put it down. I literally devoured this book.
Lost for You is the fourth book in the Sixth Street Bands Series and it can be read as a standalone. This piece of heaven is all about Taryn and Chase’s story. Their story is delightfully raw. The chemistry between them is powerful.
The heroine, Taryn, is a strong and dedicated woman. Losing some of her friends and her boyfriend marked her. She is incredible centered in her job. Her life will be deliciously twisted in a one night stand. She will be captivated by a sexy stranger. She is not a one night stand girl but her inner voice encouraged her to take the risk and to live to the fullest. Chase will be a new refreshing opportunity.
“You wear the summer in soft blue eyes. A bittersweet sky, tainted with lies. Let me end your season of pain. Dry the tears that fall like rain.”
Who loves hot cocky CEOs? Who loves songwriters? Who loves rockstars? If you reply yes to one or two of the questions above, this book is perfect for you. Chase is gonna make you crave him. He is a tormented soul. His past is attached to drugs addiction. He went to rehab but his addictive character made him fall. Meeting Taryn will change completely his world. Her scent make him crave her like the addict he is. Chase is not only a beautiful face. He is a CEO, a talented songwriter and an amazing singer.
“The girl was a craving. An all-consuming flame. For me, that was dangerous.”
Everything about this book is fantastic. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe how much I love it. There are not enough stars to rate this book. This is simply perfection. A great Romance Story wrapped in a sinful cover.
“When he smiled, I knew— he was going to kill me. Break my heart and leave it in a million pieces when this all faded away.”
This book left me craving more of these wonderful characters. I have a book hangover with capital letters. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. I also take the opportunity to thank Steamy Reads for giving me the opportunity to read and ARC of this book. Jayne you have won a new fan of your writing. I will stalk you religiously.
Drugs, sex and rock and roll. Lost For You immerses the reader in all sides of the music scene.
Lost For You is part of the Sixth Street Bands series. It is called a standalone but I really felt a bit lost trying to get my bearings with all the different characters. There were so many stories going on that I often felt like I was missing some background.
Although, I would recommend reading the other books first, Lost For You is very much worth reading. I was pulled right into the the story with lovely writing and entertaining characters.
4 Stars
I am the man in the shadows and glory in the success that my brother has had with his band Caged. They need one more break and the woman who holds it is also the woman I want to hold. I have battled demons and lost. I fight them daily but I won’t let them drag her down with me, she deserves better than me but I can’t seem to stay away from her.
What can I say about this book and series. Jayne Frost is amazing!!! She takes some incredible characters and mixes them in an even better story to create a book that will blow your mind. A tough story about love, anger, hate, addiction, but most of all about finding out who you are. This is more than just a hot romance book, it is a book that will stay with you for a very long time. One that you will want to read again and again, at least I know I will. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
I have LOVED this series from the beginning and each book pulls you in deeper and drags you under its spell with no remorse. This read will consume you with the raw emotion that both Chase and Taryn have to go through in order to dig their way out of the hell that has consumed them for far too long. Devouring this read was heart-wrenching but worth every word of this beautiful story.
Five years ago, two of the most important people in Taryn Ayers’ life died in an accident, and she almost lost her bestfriend Tori in the process. It wasn’t easy living in the shadow of the people she loved, but she persisted and struggled and survived through the guilt and pain of her loss. Now, she’s handling some of the talented bands and musicians in the industry. But one possibly big scandal could ruin her and everything she’d worked for.
Chase Noble owned bars and buildings and land development companies, he was successful in every sense of the word. Not many people knew about him or his affiliation with the lead guitarist of the band Caged. He was supposed to be like an undercover CEO who was trying to help his bandmate’s little sister with her juvenile addiction and rehab.
But when Chase met Taryn, he became addicted himself, and he didn’t know how to control his fascination with her. He’d love to get her under the sheets, but what if she discovered the skeletons hiding in his closet instead?
If there’s one thing I really loved about romance stories, that is complications. Yes, I love getting into complex setups, complicated relationships and characters tangled in intricate, convoluted drama. The more nerve-wracking the story, the better. And this book definitely delivered. Lost For You by Jayne Frost got me fixated with its storyline right from the start.
I have read the first book in this series (Gone For You – the Sixth Street Bands series) and I was floored. When I learned about the release of book 4, I prepared myself for an onslaught of emotions. I knew I had to read this pronto, because I couldn’t get enough of Caged. The first few pages really got me hooked, Taryn and Chase’s respective narrations were intense and before long, I was already immersed in the story and gobbled it all up, hook line and sinker.
Chase Noble lives up to his name, being noble and being a real knight in shining armor. I love his dedication to help a bandmate’s heavily troubled sister. I love how he doesn’t get things halfassed done and he’s the all-around guy you would really root for, even with his drug addiction issue. Staying sober and in love however, definitely suited him. And Taryn, oh I love how she behaves when she’s around Chase. I love how broken yet composed she is when with her best friends, and how fierce she is when dealing with her clients. talents and even exes. The other characters were equally a pleasure to read, even Beckett Brennin, the kind of ex that you’d love to hate and hate to love.
Overall, Jayne Frost’s latest offering got me all hot and bothered, enthralled and delighted. This series is totally worth waiting for. Rockstar romances will always have a special place in my heart, and this book gets that part. This book is delicious, and I wouldn’t blame you if you’d totally get lost in it.
Love Jayne Frost and this series. The writing is impeccable!! The world and characters are brought to life and you can’t help but get drawn in. Jayne is able to be a storyteller without telling but by truly engaging with her words. Trust me, you want to read this series. It gets deeper and deeper as we read. Each book different and but good in its own right. These can stand alone but I for me were enhanced when read together.
Soul Bound. Hope Drowned. Redemption Found.
If that’s my next tattoo, will Ms. Frost find it flattering or offensive? I will be hoping for the former.
I’m not sure what I was expecting when I started this book, but what I got was so much better. In the past, I’ve been hesitant to try new authors. That’s something I started to change last year and hope to continue that trend in 2018.
So far, this is the second new-to-me author I’ve read of 2018 and I could not be happier about the choice I made. Jayne Frost blew me away with this book. I haven’t read the previous three books, but it wasn’t needed. The characters are all beautifully flawed, tragically lost, and hopelessly hopeful.
This isn’t a book that will leave my mind any time soon. Chase and Taryn’s story isn’t a typical love story. It’s filled with pain and loss and heartbreak. It’s filled with love and passion.
Chase is an addict. He’s been sober for eleven years. That’s impressive, as far as I’m concerned. To see the path that he takes in his life–at this moment–is one that I could have never predicted.
Taryn is trying to find her footing in a world where she has been attached to a rockstar. She’s trying to show she is on her own–has been for some time–yet the rockstar keeps trying to pull her back down. First loves are hard to overcome and it’s even harder when you’re still best friends.
But a chance meeting at the local Starbucks proves that sometimes you can outshine your past. Sometimes you can be enough. You just have to find that person. The person who makes you burn and sets your soul on fire. The one you can live without, but don’t want to.
Things can’t be easy. With an ex in the way and an addiction that’s rearing its ugly head, Chase and Taryn are going against the odds. They are going to have to fight for this life. They are going to have to find themselves.
If you like musicians, then Chase is going to sweep you right off your feet. If you like angst, Jayne Frost has provided that for you. If you like secondary characters who are all strong and faithful to our main characters, the Lost For You is the book you need to grab next.

Chase was an artist on the rise until drugs got the best of him. He spent a time in rehab to get over his addiction and when that’s done, it was a complete turnaround. For eleven years clean, Chase became a successful record producer of his brother band and owns several properties.
Taryn is a business savvy, independent, strong-willed, fierce kind of woman. Deep inside though she’s broken after what happened to her friends and now she’s trying her best to please everyone except herself.
The meeting of these two is somewhat cute and cheesy, Starbucks style, lol! Chase got all his charm to woo Taryn to give him a chance.
“The drink?” the girl said, tipping her chin to my coffee. “I think it’s mine.”
“Shit… sorry.” I tightened my grip reflexively when her fingers curled around the cup. “Have we met?”
Her smile evaporated. “I don’t think so.”
Chase is nothing if not persistent, finally, Taryn agreed to meet him and it wasn’t just for a drink as they discover their attraction to each other is undeniable. Sizzling to say the least whenever they are together. Will their blossoming love withstand the personal challenges they’re about to face separately?
Jayne Frost is a new author and wow it was love at first read. The characters are well developed. That you can relate easily to what they are dealing with. The pacing of each scene scream perfection. What a way to end my year with a great book. That I can proudly recommend to anyone who loves rockstar romance. It’s worth your time.
In the midst of all the global craziness caused by the pandemic, having an addictively fun series like the Caged novels had been a huge sanity saver. These interconnected but totally standalone romances of each of the members of the band are both extremely powerful and totally fun. That’s certainly the case with super -talent manager Taryn and wealthy addict Chase’s story in Lost For You (Sixth Street Bands, Book 4). These two are crucial characters in this series and its great to see their story, especially as it is so superbly done. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
It seems that even though the characters in this book have made a name for themselves and are doing extremely well financially they are still not happy. How easy it is to believe what we are led to see or hear and ignore what we actually witness or feel. We all carry scars from our pasts and we all deal with life very differently. Chase is Cameron’s brother he is a recovering addict and been sober for 11 years. He has his sight set on Taryn who is the talent scout for a Twin Souls. However her ex Beckett is still very much in love with her and has other ideas. He’s been waiting on the sideline for her but he’s never alone and always has a supermodel draped over him. Taryn has had a tough time since losing her best friend. Things are about to become even rockier for her, Tori and Chase. Sometimes you have to take stock of the dreams you are chasing because you might find your dreams have changed.
What does not kill us makes us stronger – this could not sum up this book any better. Chance has lived his life in the shadows – no one really knowing what was going on inside his head. He had to fight his demons growing up but that never stopped him from becoming a wealthy man. Taryn has he own cross to carry. She has lost so much but it has not stopped her from achieving her goals. When the to cross paths sparks instantly fly and the passion leaps off the pages. But can his addiction and her unwillingness to control her happiness be too much for them to deal with. With the dark side that they both have in common be the one thing that keeps them apart. This rock star romance had it all – beautifully written characters, a storyline that had me on the edge of my seat, honest and heart breaking dialogue and so many emotions the reader needs a box of Kleenex as well as boxing gloves. A fabulous continuation of the Caged Family Saga.
Lost for You is a poignant look at the realities of life. Jayne Frost has again written a story that sucked me in and held me hostage! Chase is not boyfriend material, but when he bumps into Taryn, his attraction is palpable. The two have incredible hot chemistry, but their baggage keeps them apart. I loved how these two worked through their problems. The background stories of this series are what keep me coming back, it’s not all glitz and glamour, but grit and sadness where the characters have to pull themselves up and into a new way of life. Chase’s drug addiction is handled without kid gloves, and gives us the reality of how quickly a person can slip. Taryn’s survivor guilt pulls her down so much she has problems moving on. Frost takes us through their journeys to getting their lives back on track and how their love helps pull them through. It’s another incredible story.
The narration team of Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe continues to be amazing. They pull the emotions out of these characters and make your heart cry or sing with their performance. It makes the story that much more enjoyable.
Lost For You is my first book by Jayne Frost and I’m so glad that I found a new author to follow. I felt like the writing style was smooth and the characters were well developed.
Let’s get a few things out of the way. This book is part of a series and it can be read as a standalone. However, I will admit that in the beginning, there were a few names thrown out there and I felt like there was something I was missing. I’m only saying this because in the end, it didn’t matter and I didn’t have any lingering questions. Just the desire to go back and read the other books. So if you get that feeling in the beginning, I urge you to keep going or you’ll miss out on a great story.
Lost For You tackles so relatable issues such as drug addition and the destruction that death leaves behind. Every single person will be able to relate to either Chase, Taryn or both. Everyone has their own demons to face. It’s how you face it that matters and in this book it gets ugly before it gets beautiful.
“You’re the smooth surface to all my jagged edges.”
From the moment Chase locked eyes on Taryn, she stole his heart, he just didn’t realize that’s what it was. They have this undenying connection that renders it impossible to stay away from each other. However, they each have their own issues that continues to draw them apart yet always back to one another.
Chase might be one of my new favorite musician/business man combo. Actually, I think he might be the only one with that combo so he fully has my heart in the category. Watching his struggle and then the realization of his love for Taryn and the battle that comes with that was both heartbreaking and uplifting.
My job takes me to Austin, TX several times a year so I loved some of the local flair thrown into the book since it was set there. I’m like Taryn and would react the exact same way to Franklin’s. It’s that good!
Overall, I really enjoyed Lost For You. It’s angsty, sad and heartbreaking but it’s inspiring and uplifting as well. If you are looking for a new to you author to take a chance on, then this book and Frost is right where you need to go. Don’t miss out!
Book four of the Sixth Street Band series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Each book about a different band member and their HEA. I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. All the band members are their own family and their family is everything. This book had a lot going on, side stories that tied into the main story. I didn’t like how much of the book wasn’t focused on the main characters being together. It was more about Chase and his demons and Taryn and her demons. Chase and Taryn were on again and off again so much and didn’t seem to be together much in the book. Too much put into Taryn and her ex’s past and present relationship. I prefer more time and relationship building between the main characters. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
