I love the cover! This was my first M. Robinson’s book. Skyler and Noah’s story is an emotional roller coaster, full of angst, sadness, and twists and turns. Skyler and Noah are soulmates, and they share a strong and hot chemistry. This was an intense, and heartbreaking journey. The story has a great Epilogue, with an opening for the next book. Addison Barnes and Brian Callanan did a good job with the narration.
Lost Boy
By: M. Robinson
Narrated by: Brian Callanan, Addison Barnes
Take a look at that cover, and fall in love. Yes, he is good looking, but when you listen to this book, you will understand exactly who he is, damaged yet beautiful. Lost Boy is the journey of Noah Jameson. From the young age of 11, he was smitten with Skyler Morgan. Her beautiful voice singing caught his ears and he knew then she was his destiny. But circumstances don’t align these star crossed lovers. They meet time and again, and their separate lives are so completely different, it’s hard to even imagine them ever finding true love. Skylar’s story is just as prominent, and her journey to stardom is laced with all kinds of incidences. Will their lives ever be destined to come together? It’s a tough listen, full of twists and turns, pasts that come to haunt them, surprises you don’t see coming and a never ending love. It’s angsty and passionate and will make your heart break and heal over and over. I loved it!
The narration by Brian Callanan and Addison Barnes is spot on. Callanan gives an amazing performance as Noah. He is passionate and emotional, his inflections giving that always on the edge and angry come through perfectly. He has a very soothing voice too that comes out with the more loving scenes. Barnes is incredible as Skylar. Her story is very emotional, and Barnes pours every ounce of her out in voice. She is aloof at times with her tone, and then you hear her break all with the inflections in her voice. It’s a wonderful narration and one you do not want to miss.

Audiobook Review:
Lost Boy by M. Robinson brings angst to a whole new plain. Affectingly charged angst at every turn. So much turmoil, and heartbreaking moments spiraling through the pages. With raw, real vibes
that bleed through the pages. Noah Jamison’s and Skyler Bell’s romance spans across time and two different worlds that collide. The writing style is captivating and the narrative suffused with twists intertwined throughout that keep you dazed.
Narators Brian Callanan and Addison Barnes brought out all the angst in a highly passionate way. Brian’s deep baritone voice brings out Noah’s character to full bloom. Addison Barnes sweet, yet sultry voice brought Skyler’s character to real life. Each character was given each of their own voice and characterized it well.
Overall, narrative & narators cohesively set up a well crafted narrative and performance.
Out of the three in this series, I think this one destroyed me the most. I must admit to not liking Noah so much in book two but I had a feeling there was more to his story than meets the eye. And boy, I was not wrong! My heart literally hurt for Noah and Skylar, soul mates with scarred souls and hearts. Parts of this book, hurt to read. But I don’t think there could be any other way, as their story plays out. It is a gutwrenchingly beautiful read.
5+ STARS FOR LOST BOY!! I wish I could give 10 Stars, this book is worth all the stars in the universe. Noah, oh my Noah this boy got into my heart…..he owns a piece of my heart now. Noah and Skyler’s story is full of angst, heartache and so much love for each other. These two broken kids need each like we need water to live. M. Robinson’s words captivated me all the way through this Book, what a beautiful storyteller she is. You definitely need to read this book.
I’ve been eager to know Nohas story since we met him on The Road To Nowhere and now we finally get to learn more about this great hero.
When I first met Noah at The Road To Nowhere, I was instantly Intrigued by his story, he had so much sadness and anger inside of him and we knew why but in Lost Boy we get to dive deeper into Nohas mind and life so we finally were able to fill in all the blanks..
Noah had a really rough start in life, he has been trying to find himself for a long time, as he felt like he was nobody.. his father keeps using him to do his dirty job, his family has left him, every single person whom he trusted is no longer in his life or at least is the way he feels… he wasn’t expecting her at all, his life was already so messed up that he felt she was just a vison.. but life will prove him wrong and sooner or later he will have to let his guard down and let her in..
“There were so many sides to Noah, so many truths to see hidden behind those captivating eyes.”
“I’m still that guy, Cutie. Nothin’ has changed, not one single word I’ve ever said to you has been a lie. You are my sunshine and happiness”
Skyler a beautiful heroine, strong but broken after a terrible past experience.. she only wants to work and spend her time doing what she loves.. she doesn’t have time for any commitment or any relationship.. she doesn’t trust anybody or that’s what she keeps telling to herself, her past keeps her from achieving that happiness.. close people is feeding her lies and hurting her..
not until he comes alone and start to clean up her mess and start to put her back piece by piece..
“Skyler Bell, my sunshine and happiness, was still the only other thing in my life that silenced the demons on my back. When I was with her, when we were together, nothing else mattered.”
it wasn’t an easy ride, there were so many twists and turns that will shock you in a very good way.. but in the end, the story wraps so well and nice that you don’t even see it coming.. I literally was screaming in the last few chapters because M.Robinson really keeps up thinking the book was about to end and these two keep fighting without giving us any clue if they were going to make it or just continue all the craziness til the end..
“All I ever wanted to do was sing and act, but when I’m with you… when we’re together… it makes me realize all the things I’ve been missing out on, and you make me question everything I’ve worked so hard for. Everything I’ve sacrificed and given up to get where I am now. It’s messing with me. You’re messing with me.”
Skyler and Noah really surprised me, both characters were so similar in their on mess up way that at the end their own demons and problems were the key to finally lower their walls and start to feel and see clearly..
“We were two sweaty bodies, swimming in a pool of emotions, of mistakes and regrets, of the pain of tomorrow and every day after that.”
I have to say this book really took me to so many levels, at some point I was angry with the main characters because I wasn’t understanding their behaviors or why they were doing what they were doing.. but believe me, at the end everything will become so clear that all those feelings will disappear in a rush. Good story, great characters and a roller coaster of emotions..
“Noah and Skyler. Rebel and Cutie. Lost boy and found girl. Where I wanted to stay, for who knows… How long this time.”

“My sunshine and happiness….turned out to be my biggest demon in the end.”
Well, the #QUEENOFSOULSHATTERINGANGST slayed me once again! LOST BOY, which features Noah and Skyler’s star-crossed love story, is chock full of all the pain, pathos, smoldering passion and raw, heart-gripping emotions we have come to expect from this author and THEN SOME!
While this book TOTALLY STANDS ALONE, I personally recommend reading the duet, ROAD TO NOWHERE, first because Noah plays a pivotal part in his big brother Creed’s stories and you get some memorable backstory in that duet that makes his journey in this book resonate even more profoundly. And on a related note, I must say how DEEPLY GRATIFIED I am that Noah got his own book because if any hero deserves happiness, it’s Noah ! Gah! This LOST BOY in all his beautifully broken, gloriously tatted glory owned EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF MY HEART and he’s guarantee to lay claim to yours too!
THE STORY:
This is the MASTERFULLY crafted coming of age saga of an aspiring young Hollywood starlet named Skyler Bell whose fate collides with our Lost Boy, Noah Jameson, time and again.
From the moment 11 year old Noah first laid eyes on his beautiful songbird from afar, singing her heart out in the Cape Fear River, the troubled young lad was rocked to the core by Skyler’s angelic voice. She stirred something inexplicable in him that sustained him through some devastatingly dark days ahead, and when they finally meet face to face a year later, the earth tilts on its axis for this Lost Boy .
“She was the breath of fresh air I’d been waiting for, pulling me from the quicksand I had been rapidly sinking in since I was born.”
Even though she knows Noah’s trouble, there is something about this rough and tumble bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, whose life is shrouded in danger and torment, which calls to an elemental part of Skyler. As the woefully neglected and castoff son of the Prez of the Devil’s Reject MC Club, Noah has learned the hard way that he’s meant to fight his battles alone. But he may be all tuff and ragey on the outside but sighhh does he have a sweet and vulnerable side that sets her heart on fire! And as this hopelessly enamored biker basks in “Cutie’s” beautiful, effervescent light she becomes the center of his world!
“Above all else, Skyler Bell was meant to shine.”
But despite outward appearances, Sky’s life is not all sunshine and roses either. As it turns out, pursuing her lifelong dreams to become Hollywood’s Shining Star could come at the ULTIMATE cost—the boy she loves with her whole heart and soul—and she too is wrestling with demons and keeping life-altering secrets that continuously tear them asunder. However, against all odds, Noah and Skyler are drawn back together time and again. But will the stars ever align for this oh so tortured duo?
MY MUSINGS:
It’s always a visceral experience when I lose myself in M. Robinson’s passionate, angst-ridden romances, and this tumultuous novel about two tragically adrift young lovers is NO EXCEPTION!
Omfg. Rebel and Cutie just consumed my heart! From start to finish their soul burning love story churns with stormy emotion, sweet bliss and soul crushing sorrow, oodles of gut-clenching drama and, of course, a plethora of wildly passionate, breath-stealing romance!
M. Robinson’s broody bad boys always decimate–and SOB–when we first meet Noah he is such a lost, DESOLATE soul, the forgotten son whose bloodstained family legacy forced him to grow up way too fast. For as long as he could remember, he’d been trying to shake the feeling that this was his fate: “To walk through life with no one but the Devil guiding me.” But like the lyrics from that timeless Annie song, which reverberates powerfully throughout the novel, he still could not help “wishing for a different life. Hoping for another tomorrow.”
I am sure it comes as NO surprise that despite the fact that Noah might be profoundly broken inside, he is still 100 percent badass!! Fiercely loyal, with a brash attitude, roguish swagger, filthy mouth, and a SAVAGE temper, from an early age this adrenaline junkie has been conditioned to fight dirty “to forget the lost boy inside of him.”
But there is one girl who sees him—the real him. Skye, the stunningly beautiful Hollywood starlet who comes in and out of his life as she blindly pursues fame and glory. Sigh…when this boy falls in love, he falls deeply, IRREVOCABLY, for life!!! Sky becomes his light amid the suffocating darkness and soothes the raging fury that lurks inside his tough exterior. But as one year blends into the next, this girl who was once his sweetest refuge becomes his most devastating heartbreak. For Sky is also harboring some agonizing secrets and is as elusive as their shared dream for a brighter tomorrow….
It goes without saying that the chemistry between Noah and Skyler is COMBUSTIBLE! I loved the delicious slow build of this romance, which begins in their preteens and spans nearly 20 years to adulthood. And when they finally succumb to their carnal desires it’s positively SEISMIC! When things were good between this duo, omg you will get giddy butteries and be euphoric with rapturous delight. The flirty banter, sizzling sexual tension and filthy hot interludes are off the charts! And when it’s bad? Well, it will WREAK MAJOR HAVOC on your heart! Because holy hell did these two put each other through the wringer—and it was EXCRUCIATING watching this desperately in love couple slowly self-destructs before our eyes!
Bottom line? I LIVED AND BREATHED every single high octane emotion that these beautifully bereft kindred spirits did, and my mind is still reeling from all the CRAZY INTENSE feels that I endured throughout. I Sighed . Swooned. Cried. Ranted. Raged. Shuddered. Shivered. And got my poor soul blown to smithereens!
But, alas, they say truelove is worth fighting for, right? Well that certainly holds true in this angsty tear-jerker. M. Robinson really makes this beleaguered duo walk over HOT BURNING COALS for their HEA, but just when you think all hope is lost, she sprinkles her magic fairy dust and the payoff is PURE BLISS!!!!! However, I SWEAR this wicked author’s ability to crush my heart to dust and then miraculously fuse it all back together again by book’s end is a phenomenon. How the heck does she manage to do that EACH AND EVERY TIME?!
FINAL VERDICT:
In LOST BOY, M. Robinson takes us on a sweeping, epically beautiful odyssey of love lost, and then found again. This is by far one of my ALL-TIME FAVE BOOKS of 2018 and is NOT TO BE MISSED!
There’s a reason M is the “QUEEN OF ANGST” and this book right here is proof! Lost Boy was an emotional, heart-wrenching ride full of twists and turns that had me holding my breath one minute and gasping the next. If you thought you had an idea of what this book would entail or how this story would go, let me tell you it is NOTHING like you imagined! Noah and Skyler’s story was GRIPPING, ALL-CONSUMING, INTENSE and POWERFUL! The chemistry between these two characters was sexy as hell, seductive and fucking BLAZING HOT! If you’re looking for a read that you can immerse yourself into, have consume your thoughts and at the end of it all leave you fucking breathless…. then LOST BOY is the ONE!!! M has definitely given us one EPIC book that is hands down on my list as a TOP READ for 2018!
In typical M. Robinson fashion this book was filled to the brim with angst and heartbreak. Noah and Skylar have known each other since they were kids but they just could never get it together. All types of circumstances and obstacles stood in the way. At times Noah and Skylar could be their own worst enemies and I wanted to shake them both. They were definitely too stubborn for their own good. This story had a lot of ups and downs but it was such a great read. M. Robinson really has a way with words that rip your heart out and patch you all back together again. Each book showcases Robinson’s strength as a writer and I can’t wait for her next book!
4 Stars
The Queen of angst has struck again. If you’ve read Creed and Mia’s story, then you know how things ended up with his brother, Noah. Now we get his story.
The bad boy and the rising star. Noah and Skyler have known each other a long time and have had their share of heartache together. They’ve spent years apart only to come back together. The constant hot and cold with them drove me a little nuts at times, I just wanted to knock them both up side the head and yell wake up! As with all of M’s characters, they seem to take the long road to get there, but in the end the journey is always worth it.

M. Robinson never ceases to amaze me.
I love Noah (forever #TeamCreed though), his story was tragic and heartfelt. My heart broke so many times for him.
Skyler, I wasn’t completely sold on her… It took me longer than I expected to warm up to her but, once I did I was a goner. She is one of the strongest female characters Robinson has ever written.
This book was everything I expected, everything I knew Noah Jameson’s story would be.
I have been looking forward to this book since Ends Here! Am I disappointed? NOOO, what an amazing read, as always, this book had me on one hell of a roller coaster ride. The feels in this book! WOW, so much angst. I have loved all of these characters through the entire series. M. Robinson really knows how to tell a story; it flows perfectly and she draws you right into the story.
Noah is the sweetest man ever. I love how the story goes back and forth from Noah’s childhood to where they are today, so you can see what happened in his past. I feel so bad for him with everything that he has been through. Skyler is the most stubborn woman ever. They both just need to be honest with one another and open up those feelings.
Lost Boy was very hard to put down and I found myself wanting to throw my kindle a couple of times. Lost boys is a standalone but it is the final book of the Duet of the Jameson boys and is absolutely my favorite.
Lost Boy was everything I expected and more. Noah’s story was riveting and captured my heart from the start. My heart hurt for Noah and Skyler. Their story was filled with secrets and heartbreak, love and hurt. Together Noah and Skyler embark in a life where they become each other’s solace during their journey together.
Noah and Skyler became each other’s strength and support. Their connection only grew as time passed. As their friendship and love grew, so did their secrets. Both were from different worlds, different lives and in the end would their love be able to withstand the secrets that both held? Will their love be able to withstand the hurt that their secrets will bring?
Noah and Skyler hold a price of my heart. They both had a life of pain and suffering, but their friendship and love was strong. The sacrifices they made were heartbreaking. M Robinson did tremendous job with Noah and Skyler’s story.
This book is fantastic. It has to be one of my favorite M. Robinson books. In typical M. fashion she will rip your heart out. You will be taken on an emotional roller coaster that has you fluctuating between crying, screaming with anger, smiling and swooning over a very dirty, sexy Lost Boy, as she tells Noah and Skyler’s love story. They meet as preteens and have a tough road to get to their HEA as they fight demons that have the potential to destroy them. Noah is an extremely sexy, dominant alpha who will make your knees weak. I absolutely loved him. “ Lost Boy” is a fast paced, riveting read that will keep you up late into night, you will not want to put it down. Highly recommended. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Noah, Noah, Noah…. may I just say this whole series is outstanding and it just got better with Noah and Skylar’s book! We finally get the backstory of Noah Jameson from age 11 up to the present. Noah always held a special place in my heart after reading Road To Nowhere/Ends Here duet (his brother Creed’s story). Skylar and Noah go through all the ups and down you would expect and more in this emotional roller coaster. You will laugh, cry and fall in love with these beautifully damaged characters. Told in Dual POV
If you’ve read any of M. Robinson’s books, you know to expect heartbreak, drama and angst…and she definitely does not disappoint with Noah’s story! After meeting Noah in Road to Nowhere/Ends Here, I was anxious to read his story. I must admit that I was nervous to see how the events from those two earlier books would be told from Noah’s point-of-view, but I was honestly surprised and thankful about the way those events were revealed in Lost Boy. Although this could be read as a stand-alone, in order to truly appreciate Noah’s story, you do need to read RTN/EH first. This is a heartbreaking, and sometimes frustrating, story to read but oh so worth it!
What an amazing beautiful emotional journey that this book brought. Noah and Skyler’s story is of growth and deep rooted love. Yes they met as teens but they grew into people that both needed to feel that connection of belonging.
I have always wondered what Noah’s story would be like, we all read about him in previous books. From what I wonder to what I read is beyond BEAUTIFUL! As he grew from a cocky teen to a man fighting for what he feels right, I fell in love with him. Skyler only knows what she has always been told by her manager. She loves being a performer and wants to build her career, yet she feels such a pull towards Noah. He allows her to be her and vice versa. As time goes one these two have such a beautiful relationship that one moment I am swooning and seeing hearts and flowers. Then the next I am sobbing and trying to see threw my tears how they overcome another blow. I think that is why I loved this story so much. They were emotionally knocked down and each time they had to build it back up.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
In a world where I had no say, violence became my refuge, and nothing else mattered. Not even my own life. Until her. Skyler Bell. It all started the first time I heard that voice. If you have read Road to Nowhere and a few other books by M. Robinson, you know that Noah is Creed’s baby brother. Noah has a story to tell and what a story it is. My heart broke for him so many times. This poor guy never really had a chance at a normal life between the father who was grooming all his sons to be just like him and in the MC that he was president of and a brother who died and he blamed himself for his death. He basically had no one in the world as him mom falls to the bottom of a bottle, But when he meets Skyler he feels like he has met the only other person in the world that knows him and what he goes through. He shares everything with her and she keeps him at arms length I felt like. This is not a easy ride for these two characters. It is however a journey that is so well worth the taking. I say I loved this book is a understatement. You do not want to miss Lost Boy and trust me you will be wanting to save him every step of the way.
********** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW **********
Brian Callanan was fantastic as Noah. Callanan has a seriously strong voice… it’s deep and a bit husky. He sounds like a troublemaker and it just fits Noah! I don’t think Addison Barnes is the narrator I would have chosen for Skyler. There was just something with her voice/accent that turned me off a bit. I checked my Audible library and I haven’t listened to her previously. So I’m not sure if she played with her voice or changed it for The Lost Boy… I wasn’t a large fan. However, this story was so good that it nearly makes up for the narrator I wasn’t digging.
I feel like I should go straight to the cover on this book. Isn’t it just beautiful? I know some might find it odd to refer to Stephen James as beautiful but goodness; there isn’t a single thing wrong with this cover! You can’t help but be pulled into a trance by those eyes… it seems as though he’s searching your soul! Noah, oh my sweet and wild Noah. Getting your story was so fulfilling to my heart. Speaking of my heart, M. Robinson gives us her signature angst and soul in this book. It’s lovely, it’s an emotional rollercoaster. This book, this M. Robinson creation might be my favorite Ms. Robinson story ever. It holds so much in-between the covers… secrets and lies, demons and lust, heartbreak and love, and above-all-else Lost Boy is a completely original story.
Noah and Skyler were fantastic and everything I had hoped they would be and so much more! Noah is so deliciously naughty and oh, that mouth on him… dirty, dirty mouth… I loved it! He pulled me in with that motorcycle (love me a bad boy) but give me that deliciously naughty mouth and there was no where I could go but stay and watch this emotional turmoil unfold! Skyler is way more than the movie star she pretends to be. They will make you feel so happy… then you’ll turn on a dime and want to scream while you bash your reading device into pieces… but wait… aww isn’t that beautiful?? And the process starts again… did I say this was an emotional rollercoaster with highs as high as you can be and lows so every low.
OK, so while Lost Boy is and can be considered a standalone I would recommend reading both the books Road to Nowhere and Ends Here. I just think you will learn more and get to know even Noah a bit more or at least get a bit more background. This is also a super, incredibly long story. I have no idea how I was able to read it in-between work and two other books but I persevered! It really isn’t a hardship, M. Robinson writes like a dream and you barely even realize this is like two full length novels! I might be a bit exaggerated! I loved every word written in this story. Ms. Robinson is so creative in her storytelling method. Her words go straight to my heart.

I knew going in that this book was going to mess with my emotions and like I’ve come to expect from this author Noah’s story didn’t disappoint.
Noah is a lost Boy. His childhood is heartbreaking, he’s older than his years and that’s not surprising knowing his past. The only light in his dark world is Skyler Bell, the girl who’s intrigued him from the moment he first heard her singing. Noah is a fantastic character. I adore a troubled bad boy and Noah is certainly troubled. My heart ached for him at times.
Skyler looks like her life is perfect but she’s not had a normal childhood either. Seeing the same lost, lonely look in Noah’s eyes, she feels an instant connection with him. Knowing what Noah’s life is like she tries to be the light he needs but she’s been pulled in two directions and someone’s going to get hurt.
Lost Boy is a story of loss, love, sacrifice and an unbreakable connection between two people that can’t stop hurting the ones they love the most. It deals with some truly heartbreaking subjects and I couldn’t help loving both Noah and Skyler even when they were making me want to shake some sense into them.
This is an emotional, angsty romance that had me feeling all the feels so if that’s your thing, I definitely recommend this book.
