Her Royal Angstyness again delivered a story that made our hearts race, plummet and soar in the most deliciously messed up way!- Totally Booked BlogFrom USA Bestselling Author M. Robinson comes this standalone contemporary romance full of feels and angst…In a world where I had no say, violence became my refuge, and nothing else mattered. Not even my own life.Until her.Skyler Bell.It all started … and nothing else mattered.
Not even my own life.
Until her.
Skyler Bell.
It all started the first time I heard that voice. Giving me hope for tomorrow. My first love was everything all at once.
Consuming.
Maddening.
Forever.
Mine.
Except, I never imagined there were secrets that needed to be shared. Lies that needed to be confessed.
Truths that needed to be told.
Demons that needed to be buried.
Once I realized the depth, the longing, the sadness and sorrow in her eyes mirrored mine, it was too late. Love didn’t come to me as heartbreak, it came as everything I’ve ever wanted. Walking away wasn’t an option, but it was the only choice I had.
I finally found the price of love and it cost me…
My soul.

I literally started and finished Lost Boy the same day, and the only reason why it took a day was because of all the adulting that took time away from what was important, which is getting to know Noah and Skylar.
El Pecador, the book M. Robinson released before this was amazing that I knew it would be hard to top… but by God, never underestimate her as, in my opinion, that was definitely topped.
My heart hasn’t stopped hurting since starting this book. She truly wrings the feelings out of you: hurt, anger, sadness, hopelessness, love, lust, and everything in between… I bled for these two. I know, from glimpses of Noah in previous books that he was going to be a painful one, but I wasn’t expecting excrutiating. The chemistry between these two are off the charts. They both burn so bright together, its insanely hot.
Their story isn’t what you imagine it to be (if you thought you knew). The events that happen to these two people who are seemingly from opposite parts of the tracks will break you, repeatedly. Time and time again. Foreboding will fill you up as you flip from one page to the next and yet what you thought you know isn’t what it seems.
I had to literally take a breather, several in fact, while reading this to avoid looking like a blubbering mess in the train.
Lost Boy is a must read, for everyone. It is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of love, loss, family and life. It is enthralling and painful to witness, but for the life of you, you can’t seem to put it down.
Their story will draw you in so bad, it’ll hurt. The good kind of hurt. The best kind! If you love books that make you hurt, want to slap the characters (and and at times, the author), make you cry for them, scream at them, curse at them and everything in between, then this story is for you.
The perfect telling of Noah and Skylar as only M. Robinson can tell.
Noah is EVERYTHING!! This book was one hell of a thrill ride! I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish! Monica continues to blow me away with each new book and Lost Boy is no exception to that rule. Noah and Skyler’s relationship throughout the entire book was just breathtaking. The highs and lows. The heartbreak and devastation. All the emotional turmoil. It was epic. Truly beautiful. The storyline in itself was original and mind blowing. So many twists and turns you never see coming! Beautifully written. Well done, M!
Noah’s foundation has been shattered. Feeling like everyone important has left him, he finds solace in fighting. Then one day, out riding his bike, he meets an angel. Skyler lives to perform. She finds solace in front of the camera or singing for an audience but she hides a deep sadness. Then she meets Noah, the one person that accepts her for just Skyler, not the actress Skyler Bell. But Skyler’s pain runs deep and is afraid to show the one person she loves how deep the scars run so she leaves. Noah is crushed when Skyler disappears. He pushes on the only way he knows how until one day, their paths cross again. Can these two broken souls find healing together? My heart bled for Noah and Skyler, for all they endured, but what an amazing couple. The strength they both have to persevere is incredible. I loved every moment of the heart-stopping, gut-wrenching journey because everyone deserves to be loved. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
“I lost myself in that kiss. In that moment. In her. Where nothing else mattered but her. Right then and there, I knew there was no going back for me because Skyler Bell…Was. Mine.”
An emotionally charged angst-fest of epic proportions that just soared to one of my favorite reads of the year!!! The drama, the heartbreak, the raw, real emotions that seared from the pages invaded my mind, body, spirit, and soul!! I couldn’t put down this one even if I wanted to because every second was something new, something to add to the decades that this story encompassed…it literally possessed me for the two days it took me to read it!!
“For each tear, each regret, each moment we needed one another, but weren’t there for each other. For the past we couldn’t change and the future we so desperately wanted together, but there would forever be an endless number of obstacles in our way.”
I ping-ponged between cheering them to be together, and heaving a huge sigh of relief that they were apart…I couldn’t pin down what I wanted to have happen but the magnetism, the devotion, the connection was undeniable, however toxic, destructive, and poisonous most times throughout the book. That’s what made it soooooo good. You are not the same person from 11 to your late 20’s and you got to see the progression, the demons, the secrets, the mistakes, and the anguish that it all caused…I’m still reeling from this book!!! Engrossed from the first second, the story of Noah and Skyler had my heart and wouldn’t let it go!!
“Our love acting as the fire that burned so profoundly there was no way or chance of ever putting it out. Even with us being apart, it still burned further and further in my heart. Only inflaming me with our memories.”

The Queen of Angst does it again. This may be my top read of the year. Monica doesn’t disappoint this book will give you all the feels. I promise your heart will be broken (multiple times) but it will be put back together. Love can conquer anything. This story is proof of that.
I am left speechless and wordless after finishing Lost Boy. Noah and Skyler meet when they are young and the struggles of life leave these two with a fight for life. This read is unlike any other by M. Robinson. Bravo!
Lost Boy. I have been waiting for so long for this story. The highly anticipated wait is over. And it was really worth waiting for. It was the usual roller coaster of emotion and angst. But Lost Boy was so much more than just the norm with M Robinson. Readers are in for a treat with this one. I know I have said it before, but seriously, the stories just keep getting better. I don’t know how, but they do, and I am eternally grateful. With Lost Boy, I got something so different than ever before. I could not have predicted it or the impact it had on me. I was the typical basket case and cried like a baby. I also laughed like a lunatic and my heart was so full, it was about to burst. Love, laughter, tragedy, devastation, revelation, reflection, passion, adoration, danger, violence, mayhem, hitting rock bottom, rising from the ashes. A new and exciting tale of a man and a woman that did not make sense, but could not be more imperfectly perfect for each other. Lost Boy epitomises the rough and rugged leading man fighting for the emotionally scarred leading lady. It was a tumultuous journey that I never wanted to end. It was a story that kept on giving. Hard to read at times, but ultimately a story that steals your heart. 5 stars.
Can I give this 10++++++ Stars
M has done it again, I know I say it every book but this book is everything and more and so worth the wait.
It seems like I have been waiting for Noah’s book forever but oh boy it is so worth the wait.
This book is one hell of a roller coaster of emotions and it is a wild ride for sure this author blows me away with each book she writes her writing just gets better and better with each one.
This story has so many difficulties but also beautiful the book is heartbreaking but also everything you would expect in one of M’s books. It truly EPIC!
I really loved Noah and Skyler are everything I loved their story, I love them as characters. So much goes on. From the minute I started this book I couldn’t put it down there is a lot of twists and turns you will not see coming.
This book will have you wanting to throw your kindle one minute to sobbing at the same time. It is full of Angst and has all the feels.
The book is totally mind-blowing.
Gah!!! M. Robinson killed it with Lost Boy!!! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the absolutely edible cover with Stephen James. Good Lord people. Take two breaths after seeing it because I almost fainted. Ok. Now that that is out of the way, I can say without a doubt with 100% certainty that this author killed it with this story! OMG was this story intense!! It was sexy and gripping and so consuming. I seriously could not put this down but never wanted it to end!!
Noah Jameson was absolutely everything and his love story with Skyler was so sexy, emotional and angsty af. It had everything we’ve come to love from an M.Robinson story with all the feels, emotions, steam and ANGST but it was times ten on another level. The story was gripping and powerful and seriously wreaked havoc on my emotions. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
NOAH was everything!!!! he took my heart. broke it a few times, but you just cant help but feel his pain. This is my 2nd book from M Robinson and man did she blow me away. Again! her words gave me so many feels. She sucked me in and took me for such a great ride. I enjoyed every moment. I cant wait to escape more in her books. her characters! Se makes you feel like you truly are right there with them. experience and feeling every feeling they feel. I hate it over, I want to stay inside their world.
Skyler and Noah met as kids. we get to follow them as they grow and see how much they struggle with their LOVE. it was so heartbreaking. By the time they were 22 years old, I would feel all the butterflies from all the hateful words and emotions they were feeling. my heart broke for both at them. they were each others life line, yet both their life held them back.
Noah broke my heart from the start. He truly is a Lost Boy. Everything he has been through, I felt so much for him! I just wanted to hold me and tell him IS somebody to me! Skyler at times pissed me off, but once I understood her secrets everything made so much sense.
This story, their LOVE story was truly beautiful. they both fought life. They both experience pain. But always found that peace they both craved in each other! Truly this was such a great troubled LOVE story that was beautifully written.
Yet another five star incredible read from this author.
Lost boy is a standalone but personally I feel like you need to have at least read road to nowhere and ends here to understand a bit more about the characters and events loosely mentioned.
Lost boy was everything I hoped it eoukd be and more. It was an emotionally charged slow paced story that spans over many many years. A story of soul mates, two people destined to be entwined together throughout life.
Before I read this i was most definetly in team creed. Now I’m really not so sure, I most definetly hold a candle for noah now.
I finished LOST Boy three days ago, and I had to work on this review every day since. You see, I truly didn’t know where to start… how to tell you that I loved LOST Boy on a whole new level from M. Robinson’s previously released 15 books. There is no denying the talents that M possess or that she’s a favorite author of mine. There are special features to M. Robinson’s work that you will quickly extract and I love every one of them. First, the character growth and development. Unlike most authors in the romance world, M. Robinson doesn’t start her characters journeys when they meet one another… Oh no, she takes you much farther back to their early lives, to moments that help shape their characters. She makes you fall in-love with her perfectly imperfect characters. M writes dramatic romances with stories that are full of twist and turns and I love her brand of overly angsty, super sexy, full of shock and awe romance. I never know where the stories are headed; they are in essence as far from predicable as they possibly could get. And having read every one of those books, I was prepared to want to throw my kindle and to cry – although I am not known for being prone to tears and it truly takes a lot for a book to break me. That said, LOST Boy did… it broke me repeatedly. I would desperately love to offer far more than the five measly stars that I am limited to with regard to the review. And I hope that while reading this review, you decide to one-click LOST Boy… because I promise you… PROMISE YOU that this book will blow. your. mind! LOST Boy is beautifully destructive and M. Robinson’s best work yet.
As I mentioned that M. Robinson is one of my favorite authors. I have read all 15 of her previous books over the course of the last 3 years and I have read them more than once. As a rule, they’re well edited with possibly a minor error here or there and the same can be said for LOST Boy. But what I find remarkable is that she manages to spin utterly unique tales with each book that is going to unequivocally affect readers on multiple planes. You see, with each book M. Robinson writes she sets a personal goal to go after your heart, your mind and your everything! That may seem dramatic, but I promise you, it’s as close to the truth as I could possibly put into words. Since I social media stalk her, I have seen her live chats where she admits to striving towards those outcomes. And if you read her books, you’ll find that M. Robinson successfully raises the level of emotion that the reader will journey within the story.
In the case of LOST Boy, M. Robinson had her work cut out for her as Noah Jameson, the hero, had appeared in a leading role in her Road to Nowhere/Ends Here duet. Now, I must say that I have always been #TeamCreed and the divide was absolute in the past. However, after LOST Boy, I am now #TeamJameson all the way. Noah’s story is written exquisitely well and careful attention was paid to keeping LOST Boy a true standalone. Yes, events within the RtN/EH duet helped shape his character and those instances are addressed within LOST Boy, but only the events that were specifically relevant to Noah’s character development. Prior to the release of LOST Boy, my favorite book by M. Robinson was Creed’s duet (RtN/EH) and my anticipation for Noah Jameson to have his own story has been 18 months in the making. However, that same anticipation led me to doubt whether M could do true justice to Noah’s story if these events weren’t addressed properly. I must say that I never should have doubted M. Robinson’s abilities. She couldn’t have written a more perfect book for Noah than LOST Boy. And while not everyone loves Noah’s brand of dirty talking, tatted up bad boy alpha, he is the perfect BBF for me! He made this book more than just sexy a. f.; Noah set my heart galloping. You will not only need a change of panties after this one, you’ll need spare batteries!!! With M’s books, you always get perfectly imperfect characters who have enough chemistry between the H/h to ignite your kindle. She doesn’t write characters that are easy to love. However, like the saying goes, all the best things in life you have to work for and M works for it!!! You’ll undoubtedly love them, and they will stick with you long after you finish the book. Noah and Skyler are just such characters. When I started reading LOST Boy, I thought she had finally written a flawless individual in Skyler Bell, the heroine of Lost Boy. Only about halfway through this book, Skyler’s ‘imperfections’ are brought to light, and they grow as the book progresses. By the conclusion of the book with the relentless revelations regarding Skyler’s past you can not help but have fallen head-over-heals for the character even while your heart has been repeatedly broken by (and for) her! Although she may not seem like an overly troubled individual, Skyler’s a very deep character with a very traumatic past. Her layers are laid bare in true over-the-top M. Robinson fashion. Additionally, unlike past books by M, Skyler is a brand-new character. She holds no connection to those characters who have starred in past books. And I daresay this injection of new blood will give M many new storylines to explore down the road. One thing is for certain, we have certainly not seen the last of Skyler and Noah because M always gives readers the chance to catch up with her past characters by allowing them to appear in cameos in each other’s books.
My expectations for LOST Boy were quite high and yet, M. Robinson managed to exceed my wildest hopes. When you think that an author cannot possibly do better than a past book, you should be prepared for them to blow you away at some point and that’s just want I found with LOST Boy. The storyline is relevant to movements currently seen in our lives on a national stage and this was my favorite story that M. Robinson has written. It truly will leave you breathless and seriously hot. I can’t imagine that anyone who reads LOST Boy reviewing it as less then a 5-Star book. Instead of reading more reviews, possibly spoiling this exceptional book, one-click LOST Boy right now and start reading your next 5-Star book! You’ll end up as spellbound by M. Robinson’s work as I was years ago.
Fans of M. Robinson asked and others demanded Noah’s book and we sure as heck got it!! M. Robinson has truly outdone herself with Lost Boy!! Despite the fact that we all waited quite some time for Noah and Skyler’s story, it was truly and well worth the wait!
Noah & Skyler absolutely broke me to the point that I wasn’t sure if I could continue between the countless times a betrayal was revealed or the endless amount of heartbreaking pain Noah and Skyler caused each other.
It seems that with every new book M. Robinson releases I become more and more addicted to her stories and her writing! Bravo Ms. Robinson, you have truly done an outstanding job with Lost Boy!!
The queen of angst strikes again! I’m totally blown away at how uniquely heartbreaking she can make each and every story. Noah and Skyler have a love story like no other-they will make you cry, swoon, want to break your kindle, and finally fill your heart with warmth-not in that order of course.
Noah and Skyler both come from homes that have several secrets buried deep. Though their stories are somewhat similiar-it’s no secret that it’s too painful to live their past again, even with someone they love so entirely. As secrets tear them a part at every turn- they must ask themselves, are they really written in the stars?
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone. Though there is a bit of violence, lots of kick butt fighting, and some subjects that may be triggers for some individuals, this book is definitely still a top read of 2018.- By Victoria
I was a complete #TEAMCREED girl, then this book came out and now my heart is split.
Noah Jameson from the moment that you meet him his character in Road To Nowhere and Ends Here, you want to hate him. Then when you got his story you can’t stop yourself from loving him. There is definitely more to him than you might have thought. He is a perfect example of M. Robinson’s Lovable Assholes.
Skyler is the perfect girl for Noah. She’s the one that he needs in his life to truly see the sunshine and happiness in his life. You know that there is something that she is not willing to share with him, even though he tries to get her to breakdown her walls. Their chemistry is off the charts and no matter what they are drawn to each other. There is just something about them that makes you want to lock them away so that their pain would come to an end.
You are hit with all the emotions in this book, which is the Queen of Angst’s style. You will go from wanting to throw your reading device to wanting to cry, then back to wanting to throw your device again. There will be moments that you will want to take these characters away for M. Robinson and tell her she can’t have them back till she agrees to end their suffering and anguish. You will curse M. Robinson for making you have all these emotions and want to hunt her down to tell her so.
The cover alone will have you drooling. Stephen James is the perfect Noah, and having his image in your head while reading this book just makes it that much better.
I the end there is no more #TEAMCREED or #TEAMNOAH there is only #TEAMJAMESON!!!!
This was a very angsty read. So much back and forth! It was worth it though and I definitely recommend!
I was beyond excited for this story. Definitely did not know what to expect except the unexpected because, yeah, Monica Robinson has no problem ripping out your very soul. I simply pray she puts me back together at the end. But I’m a glutton for her writing so I simply accept my fate and read on. This time was no different.
Noah Jameson has been on a long, lonely road from the beginning. It’s sort of his namesake. He’s definitely on a dark course, no relief in sight. Not until Skyler Bell drops into his life. She’s his lighthouse it seems. But both have demons and pasts that haunt them. Neither ready to face the truth. Right girl, wrong side of the tracks boy…they can’t be.
The name aptly portrays Noah. He goes through the motions with no end in sight. Skyler is a performer in everything she does. I desperately wanted her to be Noah’s beacon in the storm but their relationship was indescribable, misunderstood and out of control.
I found out that shadows lurk, smoke screens are in place and sometimes love simply can’t save the one that owns your heart. But what happens when fate refuses to back down? And what happens when a Bossman steps on to the scene…
We the fans begged for Noah’s story and we got it!! Those of us who were once team Creed are now just Team Jameson. Once again M. Robinson was given us a story full of family, betrayal, and a love to test all of time. Noah and Skyler will break your heart, make you cry, and then make you cry again with how beautiful their story is. These two characters will own your heart from page one and won’t let go. Another wonderful story that only someone of M. Robinson’s ability could write.
You will not be able to put this book down. I have been waiting to get to know more about Noah since we first met him and his story did not disappoint. This is a love story between two beautifully broken people who hid their secrets well. It will break your heart repeatedly only to put it back together better than it was before. This is a must read.
OMG!!! This is a one-of-a-kind, AMAZING, AWESOME, UNIQUE, UNPREDICTABLE, GUT-WRENCHING, HEARTBREAKING, SEXY AF, PAGE TURNING, BURN UP YOUR KINDLES, PLOT TWISTS & TURNS, MIND BLOWING ROLLERCOASTER RIDE BOOK!!! I can’t wait for y’all to read about Noah and Skyler. The just moved up to 1 of my all time favorite couples. You’re going to love it! It is unlike anything Monica has written before!
