A sexy, moody, broody mountain man who only wants his solitude. A city woman trying to find herself in the backwoods. One horrible rock slide that leaves the two strangers stuck together…whether they want to be or not. I’ve been holed up in my crappy, one room cabin in the back country of Colorado for so long that I’m basically not even human anymore. And I’m not here because I have to be. I’m … I have to be. I’m not some crazy prepper who thinks the apocalypse is coming, and I’m not running from the law.
I’m just an artist who gets lost in the creation of my wood sculptures, and I’m alone because I like it this way. I do my best work when I’m separated from the rest of the world And for the most part, people suck, and there isn’t anybody back in civilization who will ever notice that I’m not there anyway.
I’m so far off the beaten path that it’s rare for me to see another human at all, and I’m perfectly fine with that…until Keeley Norton comes crashing into my solitary life–literally.
It isn’t like I really want to rescue the woman and haul her back to my cabin. But I can’t leave her on the side of the mountain injured, either. I might be a surly jerk, but even I can’t be that heartless.
Basically, I’m screwed in more ways than one.
Luckily, she only has to be stuck with me for a few days. I can handle that, right? Even if I don’t want her in my cabin, what can happen in forty-eight hours?
Problem is, I didn’t count on the way she makes me feel every time I look into her sexy, smoldering dark eyes. All I really want to do is nail her. Against the wall. Bent over my rickety table. Any time or any place is fine with me. And believe me, I fantasize about every single location as the hours tick by.
My plan is to just ignore her until she can get back to her own place, but that idea isn’t working out so well.
Turns out, Keeley isn’t a woman who is easily ignored.
She’s beautiful.
She’s sexy.
She’s smart.
She’s chatty — which really should drive me crazy since I’m a guy of few words, but it grows on me.
She’s kind and not the type to judge — even though she’s a smart-mouthed city woman who doesn’t have a clue how to survive in the backwoods.
All in all, Keeley is way more dangerous to me than any four-legged predator in the woods.
Simply put, she’s exactly the kind of woman I need to avoid.
And I try to keep my distance. I want to keep my secrets to myself, and the last thing I want is to be painfully pried open by a female who will be gone in a matter of a few days.
I’m a master at avoiding complications, but Keeley is an unholy temptation that even a hardened loner like me might not be able to resist…

What happens when you get moody totally handsome mountain man and a lost city girl? Both are lost for different reasons. James was happy in his isolation and when the cute whirlwind, Keeley stumbles upon his cabin high in the Colorado Aspens, he knows he doesn’t need the dirstaction and quickly sends her on her way. James couldn’t forget her though and quickly follows her just in time to rescue her. Thrust together, they ignore the we shouldn’t and see where their attraction goes.
I loved this book and it is a lighthearted romance of finding themselves and romance along the way.
James Lancaster is been living alone in the Colorado Rockies for 8 years when Keeley stumbled upon his cabin. These two were both looking for something in their life and didn’t realize it was each other. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down!
Breathtaking
I have read many of the stories by this author and I have to admit this was one of my favorites. I am still feeling the emotional pull of this story even after I am done reading it. This is the type of book that makes you realize what a book hangover feels like.
As you read through the story you can feel the emotions coming off of each character. With all the details you feel like you are in the room with James and Keeley. Almost feel like you are in the characters place. You want to hug and hold James as you hear about his life.
This is a very emotional story and you will get lost in the pages and want to continue to read until you are done. I truly loved this book.
Until Next Time… Tabi
This a very sexy and sweet romance that I absolutely love. James and Kelley are opposites that attract all the way to a very happy ending. This is a book that will be read again and again.
2 stars . DNF. Was surprised to be disappointed in this book because I usually enjoy JS Scott but this was just not interesting…too much angst, not much substance, no real plot.
When Keeley went on a trip to find herself she never expected it would come from getting lost. Stumbling upon James she would soon find that the dark and mysterious man would save her from a rockslide and from herself. With no choice but to be stuck together the two of them quickly found an attraction that couldn’t be denied. But with James being such a mystery Claire isn’t sure she should trust her feelings but things heat up so quickly there’s no stopping things until news comes that they are no longer stuck. The news should have been welcome but it only made them sad. There’s nothing like the peace that Keeley found in the wilderness with a tall dark and handsome stranger. Two lost souls find each other in the wilderness.
Loved this storyline between Keeley and James.
James was a little wary of Keeley to begin with but he felt the connection along with her. It would have been next to impossible to ignore their feelings for each other. Just goes to show that in only a matter of a couple of days trapped together how feelings can grow.
Just knew he wasn’t a mountain guy as such but just a genuine down to earth guy who couldn’t care less about his status.
Sometimes you have to get lost to find that what you want is not necessarily what you need in life. James and Keeley are both lost, but together they will help each other find the right path again. Loved this amazing, romantic, fast paced story where love finds a way to heal, mend, and unite two lost souls that are stuck together thanks to an accident of nature. This story will let you stuck to the pages and you would be sad to see this story end, leaving you wanting more from James and Keeley.
Keeley goes to the mountains to get away and regroup only to find something she never expected. James is an artist living in the mountains and he’s not interested in having people disturb his peace until Keeley gets her self in a fix and they end up trapped in his cabin.
I wasn’t sure what to think of this book but I ended up flying through it and loving it. This author makes me want to get away into nature myself and just be with my guy. Sometimes simple is best and Lost keeps it simple in the best ways.
Absolutely loved this book! James is living his life alone, the way he thinks he deserves. Keeley had plans on getting away to find herself but ends up finding so much more. Definitely recommend this book.
I could not stop reading once I started. This is a must read. Thank u Js Scott/ Lane Parker for another amazing story
I have read all of the Lane Parker books and this one is definitely my favourite.
James is hiding from the world and Keeley is running away from a life that’s making her lonely and stressed.
They meet each other at the crossroads and sparks fly
Stronger together than apart

Lane Parker is a phenomenal author. Lost is my favorite book, it kept me consumed throughout the whole book. You need this book.
Get ready for your next book hangover! You won’t want to put this down.
Loved it, I couldn’t put it down
Parker has quickly become a favorite of mine. Each time I think I have characters all figured out, there is always a twist to keep me on my toes and jump start my heart. There’s a depth that goes beyond the sexual and targets the emotional. James and Keeley prove that opposites have the deepest connection. Lost is a battle of hearts that I’d gladly escape into again and again.
I love this book. The characters were amazing. The story is entertaining. I am in love with James!! The love scenes were hot hot hot! I want a mountain man/artist! I want to tell you all about the book but I can’t do it justice. One if my favorite things about the book is that the characters are mature enough to communicate. No beating around the bush. No assuming they know what the other is thinking. Two adults that say what they mean and mean what they say. Love it.

Five stars for a great read. Love Keeley and James story. You truly make us fall in love with your characters and I adore how the heal each other and find solace in each other.
Let me begin by saying that this author writes fantastic books, and this book was no exception. In this great story, we meet James, who is hiding out from the world and Keeley goes to the mountains to get away from things and think but she gets hurt in the process and James helps her. This story is about two characters who have their own problems but find each other in the process and can’t help but fall for one another. I don’t want to spoil anything, but this is a must read from this author.

I loved this book from page one! The story of James and Keeley is one of my favorites. Hiding away from the world because he believes he has committed an unforgivable deed in the eyes of the person who means the most to him, his sister, James believes he is incapable and unworthy of love and companionship. Completely by mistake, Keeley gets lost and find herself stranded with James and they are forced to get to know one another. Slowly, both of them let down their walls and find that neither are what the other believes them to be. This story is an amazing reminder to not judge a book by its cover and love can always be found when you stop looking. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
