Condemned to repeat the sins of the past… can’t be there for her.
Faye and Ky can’t be together. It’s forbidden. Though they are determined to avoid replicating their parents’ mistakes, caving to their feelings is as tempting as the apple in the Garden of Eden.
Ky had sworn off girls until Faye bulldozed her way into his life. Now, she’s his whole world, and their forced separation is crushing him. Once his manipulative ex resurfaces—hell-bent on ruining the Kennedys—he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his loved ones including turning his back on the one person he can’t live without.
Then tragedy strikes and all bets are off.
But is it too late?
When Faye needs him and he isn’t there for her, guilt and hurt threaten to obliterate their love. As they start to rebuild their fractured hearts, another sordid family secret is uncovered, and Faye worries Ky may be lost to her forever.
But can you truly lose someone if they don’t want to be found?

*Spoiler Alert*
The cliffhanger ending (flaming hell it was a killer one) from book 1 continues in book 2 and the repercussions of that tears into the budding relationship between Faye (FMC) and Kyler. As well as other factors. Namely Addison (a truly awful character) who seems to be hell bent on digging her claws into Kyler and to destroy anyone who gets in her way doing that including Faye. Book 2 feels slightly darker than the previous book. What with the build up to the test results (throughout the book), rape accusations, betrayal, bullying, angst and unrequited love this book and series has all that as well as another knockout ending. Im just loving reading it. Its fantastic
WOW!!! HOLY SMOKES!
This book was one high after another and then another and another! I don’t think my heart rate slowed down at all during the entire book. I devoured this book! DEVOURED! On the edge of my seat needing to know EVERYTHING…of course she ends the book with a MINDBLOWING revelation that she knows will bring us back for book 3! At least it’s out so there’s no wait for all of Kyler & Faye’s story!
If you haven’t read this series but you’re looking at this review…it means your thinking about it! DO IT! Don’t let anything keep you from it! If you’re thinking about it, I think you’ll enjoy it as much as I have. I didn’t read it for so long because of certain aspects of the book but I’m telling you READ IT! I’m sorry that it took me so long, I wish I’d have started it much sooner!
Whew! What a rollercoaster of emotions this one was! I’m not okay and I need book 3 NOW!
Faye and Kyler are EVERYTHING! I love their relationship…when they are together and even when they aren’t. Their connection is a high that you can feel from the pages! So sweet yet HAF!!! Absolutely amazing! I don’t know what’s in store for me with book 3 but I’ll say this…I know I won’t be okay when their story is over. I’ll want them back. LOVE!!!!
Losing Kyler was action and drama packed from beginning to end. It was emotional and angsty and full of many revelations for the Kennedy brothers, James and Alex, and especially Kyler and Faye.
I really hated Addison (of course). I continue to hope for some happiness and peace for both Kyler and Faye and I cannot wait to read more books in this series. The family has a lot of issues to work through but I am hoping they can come together and that things will settle for them all. This book was very engaging and I can’t wait to read more.
If book one, Finding Kyler, captivated and intrigued me, Losing Kyler, book 2, has me beyond enthralled!! Again, the angst, dysfunction and drama that these characters encounter is beyond riveting!
Kyler and Faye’s intense relationship had me on edge throughout the whole book. All the side characters’ added to the dilemmas, secrets and mystery that make this story so alluring to me.
The undeniable attraction between Faye and Kyler has me convinced that they should be together but all the outside forces and obstacles thrown their way is overwhelming at best.
Siobhan Davis skillfully casts a labyrinth of a story that cleverly eases you into a fascinating tale! I am so glad that I can dive right in to Keeping Kyler, (The Kennedy Boys #3)!!
What do you do when the one person helping you feel whole again can’t be there for you? This is the main question of the book as Faye and Kyler navigate a minefield of revelations brought forth by Kyler’s Dad. Just how related are Kyler and Faye, and what does that mean?
This book really took the time to round out the other characters in the book. We see more interactions with Kal and Faye. The triplets personalities start to come out, and we see Faye develop individual relationships with each of them. Kadan and Keven come around more, and we get to learn more about them. On top of Faye and Kyler dealing with their crazy relationship we find out that Kal has been accused of something horrendous. The family comes together to look after their own, and as the reader we get to see just how much they love each other despite just how much turmoil is at the house.
Siobhan is definitely the queen at hitting those taboo subjects, and playing them out. She is not afraid to get into the uncomfortable, but always manages to make it OK in the end. I can’t wait to see what the final book in Faye and Kyler’s love story has in store with the cliff hanger we were left with.
This second book of the series was great. It was intense and full of drama! The more drama the better! I can’t wait to read more of this series!
Wow Siobhan really knows how to keep her readers on their toes. Just when you think you know how things are going to go she throws in another curve ball. In this book you really get the chance to know many of the side characters. I’m really rooting for Faye and Kyler to get their happy ending. I also really hope that Brad gets his as well, I absolutely fell in love with him in this book
First book was a little hard for me to get into at first but once I did I couldn’t put it down. I jumped bright into book two and it picks up exactly where finding Kyler leaves off. I demolished this book in less than a day. Siobhan has a way with words that gets all your feelers going! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This story continues to keep me on the edge of my seat. We are met with more twists and turns that will have you jaw dropping speechless. We also get to know more of the Kennedy family and learn more of their hidden secrets and understand their personalities that make this family dysfunctional at best.
To add the chemistry between Kyler and Faye is still intense and the need to be apart becomes more challenging. The want to be together is forbidden and until they get some results and answers the need to stay away from one another is a necessity. Kyler takes matters in his own hands and does something that will have Faye fuming. Regardless of the situation and no matter how much Kyler pushes her buttons and away she is determined to get explanations and be there for her new family.
Among all the twists we are thrown for a loop when Faye is faced in a position she least expected and where Kyler is not there for her. This becomes a game changer in the story and the need to figure out why the Kennedy Family keeps getting targeted and to change the plan of action. To conclude once again we are met with another cliffhanger that will break Kyler down deeper into the rabbit hole that will have you itching for answers stat.
5 Taboo Stars.
This book is intense from the start. This story starts immediately where book one stopped. You are thrust into the aftermath of what they found out and the knew world they must live in. There was so much happening in this book your head will not stop spinning. I loved every dramatic word of this story and where it takes you. Do not read this if you haven’t read book one and if you are not a fan of taboo relationships.
“When everything else is shattering, you feel like the one true constant.”
So, I don’t want to spoil anything, but I am just going to assume all have read book one. My heart breaks for Sam and Kyler. They finally found each other and admitted their feelings only to be side swiped by the realization they may be brother and sister not just cousins. Holy plot twist Siobhan, my mouth literally dropped open at that revelation. So, you know what this means Kyler’s dad slept with his sister, say what!!!
“We are both straining across the gap between our chairs, like two magnets fighting a natural pull”
It’s hard to break down this story completely there’s so much that happens and so much family drama to wade through. But the decline of Sam broke my heart, she was so strong in the first book and then she just slowly unravels in this one. She is so in love with Kyler, she knows it’s wrong, but she can’t help the way she feels. And Kyler digresses in this story and becomes more like he was in the beginning of book one. Let’s just say I wanted to punch him on more than one occasion. They try to fight what’s between them, but every time their alone together their feelings are there smoldering under the surface, waiting to break free.
“I see all that when I look at you. I see how strong you are-strong, beautiful, and brave. But I also see my biggest failure. This will always remind me of the time I let you down in the worst possible way.”
Without giving too much away because trust me you want to go into this blind and enjoy the ride. I loved every drama filled minute of this story. I can not get enough of this world that Siobhan has created. Her story keeps you utterly enthralled and gasping for more. The passion that plays throughout simmer’s through the pages and leaves you breathless. Read this story continue with this family you will not be disappointed.
Five secret stars for Faye and Kyler !!!
In a review for the first book in this series, I said that Faye’s and Kyler’s story absolutely got me and I became obsessed with them.
And that continued in this one too…
When I’ve finished reading “Finding Kyler”, I thought there was only one secret need to be solved but I was so wrong.
On every page of “Losing Kyler”, there was another new secret that the Kennedy family were keeping. So, because of these all secrets, I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it.
Relationship between Faye and Kyler was a true rollercoaster which is not strange because of everything they went through.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a good dark bully high school romance with taboo trope because it’ll keep you awake all night.
P. S. I can’t wait to start reading ” Keeping Kyler” !!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I’m pretty sure this is would be called laughing hysterically.
I swear, there I times I ask myself “why do you love these books so much? Especially with the emotional rollercoasters.” The answer is, I can help it darn it!
Its so addicting. Siobhan’s writing pulls you in and wont let you go. I’m tellig. You though, you wont want to stop. I can tell you now, I am SO glad I have the next book already. I can not even imagine how I would feel if I read this at release.
Basically…I HIGHLY recommend.
Happy reading!
Rating 5 stars
After reading “Finding Kyler” I couldn’t wait to start this book. I Just needed to know what happened next after the cliffhanger.
Welcome back to the dysfunctional Kennedy household, with even more drama than before. I couldn’t put this book down. It’s like a soap opera, very addicting. A lot of highs and lows and when you think you’ve seen it all another bombshell drops.
Up to the next book and conclusion to Faye and Kyler’s story.
I received an advance complimentary copy of this book for free to give a voluntary honest review. This review contains only my own thoughts and opinions of this book.
This is the third book of Siobhan Davis I’m reading and I’m still just as amazingly awed at her knack for unpredictable twists and heart wrenching drama that she’s woven into her stories. She just has a way to completely drag me into her written world and really push the characters emotions and feelings onto me like it is me it’s happening to. And I don’t even have much in common with any of them, both personality- and environment-wise. Yet she succeeds to make me feel so strongly for them.
However, as much as an emotional journey this book was, I couldn’t invest myself in it as much as in Finding Kyler. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed Losing Kyler. I loved all the turn of events, all the drama, betrayal and new character appearances and the unanswered questions and mysteries they brought with them. I especially loved Faye and Kyler’s relationship (minus all the cheesy declarations of trust, understanding and love. It became a bit too much and repetitive after a while) and their heartbreaking struggle after finding out what they might be to one another. The painful moments and the sorrowful scenes just did not push my buttons with the same intensity as they did in Finding Kyler though. I find it’s mainly because the characters did not react as strongly or the way I wanted at all. There where scenes where Faye should have been out of her mind out of anger and betrayal, but just acts somewhat down but still nice and friendly like nothing wrong was done to her. (Or the opposite, when one small mistake was made and she acted out like it was the most horrible thing done to her). The same basically goes for Kalvin. I really wish I could go into more detail just to write off how much it bothered me, but no spoilers are allowed in my reviews, sooo …
One thing I’m really happy about though, that kind of bothered me in the first book, is the personalities and relationships in the family. In Finding Kyler I felt like it was too unrealistic with all their personalities being too much either direction and I felt no family connection. Siobhan Davis retributed this beautifully in this book by really threading them all together and toning down some of their out-of-place, too extreme traits. I could really feel their love for the family and the need to protect and keep it whole. I could also really see all the family members connect in one way or another even if it was strained between them sometimes (as it should have been, considering).
I hate that I love cliffhangers. I just have to find out what happens next and that’s how Davis has kept me hooked to her stories. Onto the next one!
It just doesn’t get any better than this! Siobhan Davis has created an absolutely addictive story with the Kennedy’s. It’s well-written, full of compelling characters, and a fantastic storyline. It’s non-stop drama that you can’t help but love. This book has more twists and turns, more frustrating moments, more heartfelt moments, more heartbreak, just more, more, more.
Kyler and Faye are one of my favorite couples ever. Losing Kyler picks up with Faye and Kyler facing the devastating news James delivered at the end of book one of their familial ties. Until DNA results are available the two are determined to stay away from each other as difficult as that is. Regardless of the results, their relationship is at risk. Kyler’s actions could destroy any chance they may or may not have for love.
The Kennedy clan is in turmoil. James and Alex’s marriage is in trouble. Alex is a mess and family secrets are being revealed. One after another. Nothing in this family is as it appears! The brothers are doing their best to keep the family together and rally around Kal during his legal battle. We also get some key information about Faye. There is so much internal and external drama.
Brad returns in this book and again plays a key role. He’s a great guy. Addison returns and wreaks more havoc than ever. I’m not sure I have ever hated an ex more, but it’s not just about her. I also do not like how Kyler responds to her. He disappoints more than once in this book. The pain he causes Faye is hard to handle. I know he thinks that he is doing what is best, but love is about trust, not shutting out. His actions betray Faye causing every sort of harm. She’s more forgiving than he deserves and then he betrays their love again. This final mistake may be their end.
Siobhan has written an incredible book. Losing Kyler immediately sucks you in and there’s no walking away until the final word. This book should come with a warning: Reader will become quickly obsessed, losing out on sleep until the end is reached; then will be in a state of unrest until the final book is released. I can’t wait!
“I love you,” he whispers in that hypnotic voice I adore. “It can’t be wrong. It just can’t be. Not when it feels like this.”
When I read Finding Kyler, I felt that it was easily going to be the best book I’ll have read in 2017. But then I read Losing Kyler, and I was proved so wrong. Holy cow! This book was amazing, it had it all and more! Finding Kyler ended with a major cliffhanger…I mean MAJOR!!! When I started reading Losing Kyler it picked right up where that cliffhanger left off and wow…talk about taking off at the starting gate!!! This book had plenty of angst, lots of twists and turns and even a few “What you talkin’ about Willis?” moments!! I was taken by surprise a few times. Through all the Kennedy “craziness” it was very touching to see Faye become so close to the family and making them her home. I’m being very careful not to say too much, even though I want to tell you ALL about it. But you need to be able to enjoy the book the way I did, going into it knowing nothing. But I will say this, if you enjoyed Finding Kyler, you are going to LOVE this!!! If you haven’t read Finding Kyler, what the heck are you waiting for?!!! Go read it now!!!
“Losing Kyler is not an option I’m prepared to accept.”
loved this book. I couldn’t put it down! I’m not even sure what to say about it. Twist and turns, romance, suspense, it really had it all. I really fell in love with all the characters even more in this book. I’m so happy that Siobhan Davis has decided to keep writing on other characters in the book and I can’t wait to read Brad’s story even though he’s not a Kennedy brother. I think I fell in love with him during this book! I’m also looking forward to Kent’s story because his character seems to be the dark dangerous uncaring Kennedy brother and I want to know what’s going on in his head. I’m am so happy to be a part of the arc team that got to read these books prior to release in exchange for an honest review because these past 2 books have been absolutely amazing and have taken me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Thanks Siobhan Davis for writing these amazing books and thanks for deciding to continue the series for the rest of the characters that we have fallen in love with!
4.5 Stars
Losing Kyler is the second title in the Kennedy Boys series. I will be the first to admit that I am generally not a fan of drama and angst filled story lines, but Ms. Davis has done a fabulous job of creating a series, that just draws you in. Losing Kyler is jam packed full of suspense, drama and angst, with strong themes of family, romance and friendship.
The first title in this series Finding Kyler, left you hanging with a major cliffhanger, I eagerly anticipated this title to see where the story went next, and I was anything but disappointed. Picking up, right where the first book left off, the revelations and secrets start right from the very beginning. This is an emotion filled read with highs and lows, and twists and turns that keep you thoroughly enthralled and captivated with the story line. I read this book in one sitting unable to put it down as I felt myself drawn further into this angst and drama fueled family.
The characters are complex, flawed, dynamic and very well developed with layers upon layers that slowly are revealed. I am not generally a fan of a book told from the sole point of view of one character, in this case the heroine Faye, but I really enjoyed this view point of her complex inner thoughts.
Whilst the first book is centered around the budding relationship between Ky and Faye, this book focuses more on the relationship between Faye and her extended family and friends. The interactions and revelations regarding the side characters definitely kept me enthralled.
An intriguing book revolving around a taboo relationship that fans of The Royals series, will be drawn to. Overall a captivating read and I look forward to the next installment of this series.
“I’m beginning to believe there’s some truth to this notion of a Kennedy curse. Happiness seems to evade this family, and they appear destined to career from one tragedy to another.”
That quote perfectly sums up the entire book. I promise that you will not be sorry for continuing the series. The best way for me to describe Losing Kyler is to call it a soap opera minus the bad writing and horrid acting. You think you have reached the max in the drama department, but then Siobhan throws more into the mix, and you find yourself staying up way too late just to see what happens next.
What I loved most about Losing Kyler are the scenes featuring Kal, Keaton, and Brad. The in-depth look into their characters makes me anticipate their own books even more! James is the most perfectly imperfect man in the world, and I hope all the other readers enjoy his character as much as I do. He is by far my favorite book dad; I can’t wait to see what Siobhan has in store for him in Keeping Kyler.
The ending isn’t what I would consider a major cliffhanger, but it is intense and wonderfully done. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next. I strongly suggest reading Siobhan’s other books if you haven’t already as well as joining her email list and following her on social media; she is the best! I absolutely loved the following quotes and hope they encourage you to buy this book!
“I don’t fit in anywhere. The one place I had begun to think of as home is now the last place I wish to be.”
“This is why I spent so long fighting my feelings for you. You don’t belong in my world. You’re too good for it. For me. I thought I was ready to be who you needed me to be, but I fell at the first hurdle.”
“I didn’t think my heart could hurt any more, but I was wrong. My heart is rupturing in my chest. Splitting wide open like someone has cleaved it in two.”
I’m really loving this series! Siobhan Davis has the ability to keep me reading from beginning to end, I started the book and didn’t stop till I finished! Normally, there’s some things in this book that aren’t usually for me when I choose a book, but Siobhan Davis’ writing is just so involving and real that the true heart and soul of the book shines through! This is the 2nd book in this series, so you’ll definitely want to read the first book, since this book picks up right where the first book ended. This review may have slight spoilers for book 1. So, at the end of the first book, there is a big cliffhanger that has left Faye and Kyler reeling! Faye and Kyler are devastated hearing this news, and the budding relationship between the 2 takes a major hit with this news; which is to be expected under the circumstances! And on top of that, they have to deal with the rape charges against Kal, Brad’s feelings for Faye, and that skeeze Addison, who Kyler may not be quite finished with, and if that weren’t enough there’s a murder mystery to boot! All of these crazy things lead to some major Draaammma and a whole lotta awesome! Most of the characters get on my nerves at times; even Faye due to a certain stupid party incident, but that just makes them more real to me because of their flaws. I will say some of these characters need to keep it in their pants! That would cause a lot less problems! The romance is definitely heartfelt and deep, and I could feel the intense emotions in Siobhan Davis’ words. Faye and Kyler have a lot to deal with, and the secrets keep on coming! I’m so sad that I’m going to have to wait now for the next book because I want it now! (ala Veruca Salt of Willy Wonka fame) So, in conclusion, if you want some craziness, angst, drama, and some raw emotion then read this book! Siobhan Davis has done it again! Love all of her books!!
