Condemned to repeat the sins of the past… can’t be there for her.
Faye and Ky can’t be together. It’s forbidden. Though they are determined to avoid replicating their parents’ mistakes, caving to their feelings is as tempting as the apple in the Garden of Eden.
Ky had sworn off girls until Faye bulldozed her way into his life. Now, she’s his whole world, and their forced separation is crushing him. Once his manipulative ex resurfaces—hell-bent on ruining the Kennedys—he’ll do whatever it takes to protect his loved ones including turning his back on the one person he can’t live without.
Then tragedy strikes and all bets are off.
But is it too late?
When Faye needs him and he isn’t there for her, guilt and hurt threaten to obliterate their love. As they start to rebuild their fractured hearts, another sordid family secret is uncovered, and Faye worries Ky may be lost to her forever.
But can you truly lose someone if they don’t want to be found?

This book had me spinning. One min the relationship between Kyler and Faye is so unbelievably hot and then the next a bucket of ice is dropped right on top of their heads. I cried and laughed. Sometimes I laughed so hard I cried and vice versa…it was such an emotional roller coaster ride. But as expected I loved every moment. Even when I thought I might use my kindle as an airplane lol…but I managed not to give in to the inner devil that was so upset and just kept riding the ride until it was over. Actually not over, because Siobhan loves those cliffy’s. Now just waiting for my copy of Keeping Kyler…because I just have to know what happens next. That ending though….
Talk about drama with a side of twists and turns and a sprinkle of suspense and you got yourself another great read. It just keeps getting better and better. Looking forward to the next book.
I don’t even know where to begin. I was anxious for this book after reading the first one. Losing Kyler picks up right at the shocking cliffhanger where Finding Kyler left off. Another huge twist that has Faye and Kyler finding out they can’t be together. On top of that, more family secrets come out and everyone is thrown into chaos. Kalvin is waiting for his trial and the family is trying to be there for him. Faye goes thru hell and back again and Brad is trying his best to just be the friend she needs even though he wants more.
So many shocking twists and more drama and angst leave you breathless. Heart wrenching emotions keep the pages turning. I can’t wait to read Keeping Kyler and see what happens next!!
This book is a real turning point for the characters, not just for Kyler and Faye the whole Kenndy clan and Brad. There are storlylines in storylines. There is so much happening emotions are running high, family and friendships are out to the test. There is betrayal, lose, hurt, blackmail, danger, love, lust and companionship. This is a whirlwind of excitement and blows. And as always leaves a massive cliff hanger.
Wow this book was a whirlwind of emotions and feelings ! I can’t get enough of the Kennedy family or Kyler and Faye . This book was full of drama lies betrayals and angst. Oh boy the scandals ! I was definitely kept on the edge of my seat the whole way through this story! This book consumed me and I can’t wait for more ! Already one clicked the next book ! This is one addictive series and I highly recommend!
I can not get enough of the Kennedy family stories or Kyler and Faye! I love the intensity, the over the top drama, the angst, the scandal and lies, and the alpha possessive Kennedy men. I love a good taboo/forbidden relationship, and this one has just consumed me.
The end of book one had some major heartbreak in store for us- with Faye and Kyler finding out a potentially devastating piece of information that may derail their budding relationship- now that they have finally admitted their feelings- and may make their love even more forbidden than we’d assumed. HOLY MOLY.
These story is drama to the max- soap operatic and delicious. Poor Faye just gets so much thrown at her- and the revelations that force them apart just broke me (and her)- she needs Kyler, and he pushes her away. Is there ever a path to these two being together given all that is stacked against them? What other secrets and lies do they have to unpack and work through? Is their love something they are willing to accept, despite others thinking it is wrong?
Both of these characters really struggle with their complicated feelings for each other- and it is hard to watch them unravel. I wanted to punch Kyler more than once, and I wanted to hug poor Faye- I just wanted them to stop fighting against each other and their feelings and fight FOR each other- their love is just so intense, and they both clearly need it to thrive.
Of course, Siobhan leaves us with a jaw dropping conclusion that had me one-clicking the next book in seconds. This story is addictive- it consumes me completely. I’m a Kennedy boys addict, and I’m not even sorry. I MUST know what is next for Faye and Kyler!
If I thought the first book was action packed it’s well seeing I hadn’t read this book yet because oh my word SO much happens in this book!!
My heart is a wreck!! Not only for Ky and Faye but for all of the boys and their family. There are so many hidden secrets, lies and betrayals going on around them they don’t stand a chance of healing properly or understanding things and you can tell there’s still more to come which has my heart in my mouth!!
Looking forward to jumping into the next book. I NEED to know what’s going to happen, I have too many questions!
The second installment in Kyler’s series is full of secrets and twists. Not everything works out as it initially seems. The Kennedy family is thrown one curve ball after another as all the secrets begin to reveal themselves. Will one of them be enough to break the family? Definitely a must read and excited to see how it all plays out in the end of the trilogy.
Second of this trilogy….
The drama, suspense, angst and forbidden feel continues on in this book. I felt so hurt for the Kennedy Family and would love to seek some justice for them.
Without giving away spoilers, this was your typical middle book. You had some resolutions, parts of the story that will continue on, more parts for future books and DUN DUN DUN a cliffhanger!!!
But the love that Kyler and Faye have in undeniable!
It has been tested many times and a few more in this book. Faye is only just now realizing her whole life is not as it seems and every chance that they get to be in a relationship, something comes and throws them for a loop.
If you love Drama, this series is for you!!!
Onto Keeping Kyler to see how this story wraps up!!!!
Can’t wait to read about all the brothers!!!
Well Siobhan Davis does it again, keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Firstly and importantly do NOT let the taboo nature of Kyler and Faye’s relationship put you off reading this series, there’s definitely more to this story than that aspect and in this book there’s so many twists and turns I couldn’t put it down, but h€ll this family has its secrets!
My emotions ranged from routing for Kyler to despising him and routing for Brad and my heart bleeding for Faye all at once!
I also loved that you get more of an insight into the rest of the brothers, who clearly have their own stories to tell!
Another read.
So. Much. Angst. Twists and Turns all over the place. I didn’t see this twist coming though.
When I finished Finding Kyler I had to start this one because I needed to know what happened next. But I wasn’t expecting that.
Faye and Kyler are still trying to figure out what is real and what is a lie. It seems that most of what she knows is a lie. The only thing she can trust is the feelings she has for Kyler. And that might be wrong too.
This is one hell of a story, it seems that with Alex and James most of it is built on lies or half-truths. I think that Faye coming along has been a good thing for the Kennedy boys but a bad thing for Alex and James because Faye seems to be the only one to see through the lies.
Will Faye and Kyler ever get the happily ever after? Will all the secrets be revealed? Will Faye go after Kyler or accept his wishes and not look for him?
I should have expected the twist and turns in this series from author Siobhan Davis. She is a great storyteller and has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat until the end or until the cliff hanger, whichever comes first. I need to get Keeping Kyler, book 3 soon. I need to know how it ends for Faye and Kyler.
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
An angsty read!
Everything she believed is built on a lie…
And the one person she shares a passionate, soul-deep connection with can’t be there for her…
Then tragedy strikes and all bets are off…
But is it too late?
Oh wow, I can’t believe I started reading it then stopped reading it for quite some time before I continued it. I’m slapping myself over this! Ugh. And I didn’t stop reading it because I didn’t like it, i loved it and book 1! I can’t even remember why I stopped in the first place. *bangs head against wall, repeatedly*
Full of angst, drama, forbiddenness, secrets, family, friends, strength and love.
Perfect for readers of contemporary romances.
Losing Kyler is the second book in the Kennedy Boys series. It can not be read as a standalone. I will warn you that this is a controversial story. It’s forbidden. Scandalous. And that is why I was hooked from the very beginning. Sometimes I just need something out of my comfort zone. Out of the box. And this is one of those stories. I won’t get into detail with this one. If you read the synopsis, it explains a lot.
Losing Kyler starts exactly where Finding Kyler ended. With a revelation that brings Faye to her knees. She is a strong girl but this could make her break. She and Kyler have to keep their distance. It kills them both but it has to be done. For everyone’s sake. Not just their own. The family not only has to figure out their lives but they are also hit from other angles. Will this family fall apart or will it all bring them closer together?
So…I grew up watching soap operas. Shit, I was named after a character of one. I love the angst. The scandal. The oh, fuck moments. The twists. The love. The unlikely friendships. The unwanted enemies. And most of all…the families. I know they are fictional but under that fiction there lies truths. These scandals do happen. They are hidden. Some not so much. Some thrown on gossip rags. I like that about this book. There are real issues within the story. They are just hit by hit by hit. In a small amount of time.
Overall…it’s a forbidden story about love, family, and friendships. It’s full of suspense, heart, and discovery. The writing is wonderful. The characters are something else. They all have their unique qualities. I hope I don’t have to wait long for the next book but if I do, I know it will be worth it.
Quotes:
“I’m trying to stay strong,” I whisper, “but it’s damn hard.” My voice cracks.
“You put the rama in drama,” he jokes, and I punch him in the arm.
“When did you get so wise?” I murmur, smiling.
He shrugs. “Guess I was just born perfect.”
** I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Taboo, angsty, and definitely screwed up… but in a good way!
Siobhan tears your heart out from the first page of this book. After everything that they have gone through Faye and Ky are now being thrown another curveball, and this one will not just destroy them as a couple but destroys everything Faye ever thought about herself or her parents. She is heartbroken, devastated, and now lost without the one person she really wants.
But James’ secret isn’t the only one getting revealed. As more secrets come to light, Faye, Kyler, and the rest of the brothers’ worlds get turned upside down.
Throughout the book, you see not only Faye and Ky grow but also the other brothers. You get more of a glimpse into their personalities and relationships. Faye and Keaton’s relationship has its ups and downs but grows stronger. And you can tell that each brother is going to have their own interesting story to tell. Their personalities are so different and defined but no matter how different they are they still have unconditional love for each other.
This book of course ends on another soul crushing, earth shattering cliffhanger that makes me want to throw the book and then immediately start reading the next one!
Losing Kyler is the 2nd book in The Kennedy Boys series. This book is not for teenagers. Again, loud so people in the back can hear, THIS IS NOT A BOOK FOR TEENAGERS. There are mature themes in this book that I wouldn’t be comfortable letting anyone under the age of 21 read. I wasn’t comfortably reading some of the things that went on in this book, and I am 42. Also, this cannot be read as a stand alone book.
The plotline for Losing Kyler is fast-paced and well written. There were a few times where I got overwhelmed with what was going on (there was a lot), but that was just me. The flow of the book was terrific too. There were no dropped characters or storylines.
The plotline with Faye, James, Alex, and Kyler was wonderfully written. I can’t say what I would have done if that bombshell was dropped on me. I want to think that I would have acted like Faye did when she found out. But the truth is, I would have had a nervous breakdown.
I thought Alex and James were incredibly selfish during that plotline. There were more than a few scenes where I wanted to smack one or both of them upside the head. They were the main reason why their kids were rebelling out. I wanted to reach through my Kindle, shake them, and tell them to start acting like parents and the teenagers they aren’t.
The plotline with Kyler, Faye, Brad, and Addison was full of drama. The drama between the 4 of them was almost too much. But it was a ton of fun to read. I loved reading Faye and Addison’s interactions. I kept thinking “Meow” every time they were together.
I did wonder what dirt Addison had on Kyler. I mean, he was adamant that he wanted nothing to do with her towards the end of Finding Kyler. Then to hook back up with her? I wasn’t surprised at what it was. I also wasn’t amazed at her role in everything that happened in the book. I am so waiting for her to get hers!!
The storyline with Kal and the rape trial broke my heart and, later on in the book, enraged me. I didn’t understand why Lana accused him of rape. But when specific details came to light, I understood. All I have to say is what goes around comes around.
The sexual attraction and tension between Kyler and Faye were terrific. Even though they had to keep their hands off each other, there was a lot of sexual tension. I had to put down my Kindle and fan myself. When they finally did have sexual contact, holy moly was it intense.
The end of Losing Kyler is a cliffhanger. I am not a big fan of cliffhangers. But in this case, it worked. I want to know what happens next. I want to know if Kyler and Faye will have their happily ever after.
A definite must read, a real page turner, i ignore all my house work and duties to read this book!
I just love Faye and Kyler’s intense rollercoaster of a relationship. Especially with the new bomb that exploded at the end of book 1. These books will definitely keep you in suspense. There is enough secrets and twists and turns you will want it all at once. The Kennedy family definitely keeps you interested to needing to know more. As always another great read from Siobahn!
Faye and Kyler are devastated when they learn that they can’t be together, and why. When she lost her parents that was bad, but to know that she can’t be with Kyler, the love of her life, is breaking her heart. Before Faye, Ky had sworn off women, and with good reason. His is girlfriend is once again trying to manipulate him, and doesn’t care how many lives she destroys to get what she wants, she is determined, it seems, to bring ruin on the Kennedy clan.
Compelling and unique characters willing to face the consequences of their forbidden love, but more family secrets may be the final nail that drives them apart forever. Fantastic read with plenty of surprising twists in the plot that kept me guessing. I loved this book!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
I really liked this opus – I was praying for it to go a certain way and it did. Once again the plot is full of twist and turns some i expected – a few that took me by surprise.
Once more the emotions run high and you feel everything there is to feel. This book is really emotionally draining.
The end is heartbreaking and i can’t wait to read more.
