You will lose your heart to Bash from the moment you start reading this book. Being a prospect for the Charon’s for 2 years now and still awaiting his final patch Bash has had his share of ups and downs. A Marine father who took his own life due to PTSD and a mother who has developed early-onset Alzheimer’s he doesn’t know where his life is heading and being sent on a run doesn’t help his situation until he falls for one of the girls from the Satan Knights MC. Though this is just the start and Janine Infante Bosco is taking the reigns of Bash’s story next month in Shifting Gears I can not wait to read more!
Bash has had some hard knocks in his young life. His dad came back from the war with PTSD and the monster he only caught a glimpse of before was out and terrorizing his family. After his father’s death, Bash steps up to take care of his mother. And then she develops early onset Alzheimer’s. She has her good days, which give him hope, but they both suffer when she has her bad ones. A mission to NY with his club, the Charon MC, has him questioning his position in life. He finds a girl who calls to his heart and a club that seems to click with him. Will he stick with what’s comfortable or take the leap and the detour?
Khloe Wren is a new-to-me author and if Losing Bash is anything to go by, I’m in for a treat when I read the rest of her stories. She created a character with plenty of heart, which I love when it’s pitted against the grittiness of the MC world. Within a few pages, I was able to get to know and be curious about plenty of the characters that make up the Charon MC and I’m looking forward to getting to know them well. Bash is headed back to the Big Apple and I’m excited to see how his life changes in Shifting Gears, which will be written by one of my favorite authors, Janine Infante Bosco!!
Loved this short crossover story & being able to get some background on Bash after seeing him appear in a Satan’t Knights story. My heart broke for him after reading about his past and his mom. Can’t wait to see where his detour takes him. You can’t help but fall for Bash & Lydia, so excited to see how this ends in the end of the crossover.
I enjoy reading crossover stories from authors that I love and Losing Bash by Kloe Wren is a perfect book to cross from her Charon MC to Janine Infante Bosco’s Satan Knights MC!
Bash is struggling with a lot of things, his mom’s illness, his place in his current MC and a woman he feels something for but she is part of another MC and lives too far a way. He now has some big decisions to make and I can’t wait to see how his story plays out in his continuing story with the Satan Knights!
This quick but highly emotional introduction into Bash takes us on a ride filled with highs and lows. It will at times make your heart soar and at others have it breaking from the pain associated with life, love and loss. Losing Bash reminds us why we love Riggs and the brotherhood associated with the Satan’s Knights and the Charon MC. Cannot wait for the next installment of Bash because this prospect took my heart in such a short period of time and I can’t wait to find out how this cowboy makes out when he takes the detour.
FANTASTIC!!!
This is the first book I’ve read by Khloe Wren and I thought it was fantastic. I love that it’s a crossover series. I can’t wait to see where this story goes from here. I plan to catch up on the Charon MC series right away. I loved it.
Another installment from the Charon MC series may be a quick tale but it’s a powerful one. With a hero who’s a bit bad boy, along with being a good son who’s devoted himself to his mother and his club, he’s starting to feel a bit unsettled when readers first meet him. Bash is starting to realize that he’s missing out on a life of his own which is made especially obvious when his club sends him to help the Satan’s Knights where he lays eyes on a sexy bartender. She makes him feel for the very first time and has him wanting to do something just for himself. Before he can move forward though he needs to tie up his past which leads to a few tears and a brighter future that leaves readers with a cliffhanger that has them waiting with bated breath for more.
Bash’s story was an emotional one, a timely one dealing with a mother with dementia and a father whose PTSD led to his death. It made him a hero I instantly fell for as he shows a kind heart and endless loyalty to others while in return he’s sometimes taken advantage of for being so caring. This novella focuses mostly on him which left little time to learn about Lydia, the one night-stand who quickly had him wanting more from her. It also has me wanting to learn more about her too as the few words she said spoke of a heroine with scars inside and out. Their first interaction was crackling, and showed a flirty side to both of them, before leading to a combustible erotically-charged night. Her video message to him at the end of the story was a perfect ending and a great start to his new beginning that has me excited to read the next story in a new trilogy. Along with this promising romance readers got to see glimpses of the Charon MC as well as the Satan’s Knights which rounded out this story and brought moments of levity courtesy of Riggs. From start to finish this was an entertaining novella that fans of the genre won’t want to miss!
4.5 stars
I have not had the pleasure of reading other books in this series and welcome the opportunity to delve into this crossover and plan on reading more. Bash is a young man who has had to deal with some major challenges as he grew up. His father was a military man who developed PTSD which led him to taking his own life and his mother is battling Alzheimer’s. To say it has not been easy is an understatement but fortunately, he found some direction when he became a prospect by the Charon MC. Off on a mission to New York, Bash comes in contact with Lydia, a firecracker of a bartender. The chemistry between these two is incendiary. This is one raw and powerful short read.
This was the first book I have read by this author. I will be reading more of her books as I can. I need to know more about this MC. I’m loving the crossover aspect.
Bash has been dealing with a lot. Falling for a girl from a different MC wasn’t what he planned. He wants to be patched in but when his mother unexpectedly passes away he has the opportunity to follow where the heart may lead.
This was a great read. I’ll be reading more soon!
I absolutely love when two series in the same genre crossover. Losing Bash is a crossover over of Janine Infante Bosco’s Satan’s Knights MC and Khloe Wren’s Charon MC. This short read sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the story that needs to be told.
Bash has not has an easy life and has been taken in as a prospect for the Charon MC which has give him a place where he feels he belongs, but his personal life is at a crossroads, with his moms’ illness, and his dads’ suicide. On a trip home he meets Lydia and there is an instant connection between them. This is a well written story which is emotional, heart-warming, raw, gritty, and a powerful short read. I look forward to reading more about Bash’s story soon.
Losing Bash – wow I I have not read any of the prior Charon MC series but that is fixing to be rectified asap. Losing Bash has hooked me on with the club. This is an exciting, sexy, heartwarming read. Yeah I said Heartwarming, a thing a lot of MC books are not. But this one touched my heart in a big way. Bash is dealing with his father’s suicide, his mother developing Alzheimer’s and finding his own place in the world. Taken in by the Charon’s as a prospect, he has found a place to escape but is it enough? On a road trip to NY he meets a girl that sparks something in him that has been lost, but he has to leave her after only one night. When he returns home and tragedy hits, Bash is more lost than ever. Bash is now at a crossroads in his life, which way will he turn?
This is the prologue to his story.. I am so looking forward to see what happens with Bash in the upcoming book, Shifting Gears.
Another book in The Crossover Collection between Khloe Wren and Janine Infante Bosco, we have Bash. He is a member of the Charon MC in Texas and winds up in NY with the Satan’s Knights. What follows is an often emotional and real story of a man, his mother, his club and a woman he cannot stop thinking about. When his circumstances change in an instant he must decide if he wants to listen to newfound friend Riggs and “Take the Detour.”
Losing Bash is the first book I’ve read of Khloe Wren, and I got to say I found a new author to read. I like her writing style, and characters. She drew me into the story, and I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen. Bash’s story is part of the Crossover Collection, it’s quick and emotional. It introduced me to her Charon MC Series, and I’m looking forward to reading it. I can’t wait to see how Janine Infante Bosco is going to carry on Bash’s story in Shifting Gears (Satan’s Knights Prospect Trilogy #1).
MC stories are my guilty pleasure, and this author makes the guilt oh so pleasurable. Her characters leap off the pages with emotions, heart, grit, and the overlaying blanket of brotherhood and family. This story is short, poignant, and fulfilling in that it starts you on Bash’s personal journey of pain, loyalty, and decisions to be made with possibilities to be explored. Great read.
I love Bash! I’ve loved him, and have been waiting for his story for so long. I’m sad, and excited about the crossover. It’s heartwarming to know this will not be the last time we hear from Bash.
Khloe Wren has always captured the Charon’s stories so perfectly! Of course, Losing Bash is no different. Whether this is the first time you are meeting Bash or not, you will immediately feel for him, his situation, and those around him. If you’re thinking about starting the Charon MC Series, do it. You will not be disappointed. These guys are the greatest!
Bash is definitely not your typical MC hero. A quiet man with a heartbreaking history, Bash is struggling to find his place in the world. Choosing to take a detour, he makes his way up north to the Satan’s Knights. Cannot wait to see what is in store for Bash, and whether or not he finds his way.
This story is short, but Ms Wren creates characters that are 3 dimensional and jump of the page… This emotional ride had my heart breaking and my soul soaring. Sometimes life isn’t about what’s fair it’s about what feels right.
Loved this book! Like the others in the series it kept me hooked and wanting more! It gives you feels!! The author did an amazing job with the character. His story was very well written. It’s a must read!!
