This is the 3rd book in the Ranger Mine , though interconnected, each of these books can be read as a standalone. Jo Chambliss is great at filling in the backstory of each couple so you don’t feel as though you’ve missed a thing. Liam and Ava have been intensely attracted to one another for years, but have never acted on it. When danger and threats from different angles, Liam needs to act to protect the woman he’s come to love. Twists and turns, drama and surprises, this book is well paced and a page turner from start to finish. Great addition to the series and free to read with your KU Subscription.

Book 3 in the series could be read as a stand a lone because we see part of what transpired in book 1 and 2 from Liams eyes, aka Shark. It amazes me how my opinion of the characters change as I read each book. What never changes is the deep bond between the military brothers. I appreciated the intelligence Ava has, the way she runs her business, her gutsiness, but it took a while for me to like her in this book. I loved her in the others. I so felt for Shark, his background, his brothers and the Thanksgiving celebration when he looks around the table, choked me up. When Ava and Shark are together you feel the love, the humor, the goodness. When Shark and his team members fly over to Afghanistan for mayhem happens (sorry – no spoilers) my breath caught and a tear rolled down my face. Just thinking about it chokes me up again. No complete answer is to why the mayhem happened, hopefully in future books. If you like romance, suspense, and our military you will like this book. Thank you Jo Chambliss and Booksprout for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I freely share them here.
Another good story. Got some extra background on the others in this book, but didn’t like the going back and forth. Liam met Ava a few years ago when whe was drunk and he escorted her home. He was guarding and watching her for Chase, her brother. But when she remembers who he is later on she’s not happy. Liam and his team have regained their status in the Army Rangers and there were promotions. So instead of getting out they are a team again, this time training other rangers, but when they go to Kuwait out on a training mission with some other rangers for training they are ambushed again. Lots going on in this book. Plenty of action, scares, surprises and HEA.
Once again the author delivers one awesome book. This is the third book in the series and gave me just as much of a great time as the previous ones. The storyline is Liam and Ava’s. The chemistry between them is awesome and the flow of the storyline flows easily. Still has the suspense and danger as the other two.

I’m really enjoying this series. I liked that we get to see a different view of the other couples. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
It’s books like this that make sleepless nights not so bad. Although it’s the third book in this great series it is a standalone story. It’s just as great as the previous 2 in the series and is an absolute joy to read. The plot and characters are interesting and likable.

Ava is Chase’s sister and after their parents died in a plane crash she took over the family firm. Now there’s something happening at the firm and she’s trying to handle it without involving her brother. Liam has been watching over Ava for awhile. He finally gets his chance with her but because he git back in the military everything goes to crap between them. Ava sets forth a plane to take out the guy trying to do harm within her family’s firm with the help of some others. It seems to have worked but she forgot one key person. The guys come back from a mission and there’s bad news especially for Ava. Liam couldn’t make it the chopper because there wasn’t room. So Ava is dealing with her grief on not letting him in when she is heading in to work and looks up and sees him. However neither is really paying attention and the last threat makes it move on Ava as she is running to Liam. Will Ava survive to have a life with Liam? Will Liam take out the threat to Ava?
This is another amazing installment to this series. Each book brings a better chapter to this group/family. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover. I can’t wait to read the next book.

3.5 stars ….. My perception was confused with reading this third book. It seemed like a 1.5 book than a third. The book didn’t feel like a stand alone book because of how the flashbacks were supposed to help. I haven’t read first book so i was a little off from the beginning. I understood book two. The characters are still evolving from their achievements and interactions with others. The action is still present. I just need to get book one to get my brain right so everything falls into place. I’ll probably change my review once I get the other book.

I really liked how we go back to well before Chase turns back up on Sam’s doorstep but will say you don’t want to read this straight after the other 2 as there is a bit revisited from book 1, I left it a few weeks and with a few books read in between before reading this and found it worked well. I enjoyed getting an insight to Liam and Ava before everything kicked off and the build up of angst was great. I get where both of them are coming from in regards to the first time they meet but good golly they do frustrate you too!! lol There is plenty of suspense, action, tension, attraction, frustration and a happy ending!

Great book! Chase has enemies who are out to destroy his family and that includes Ava. Liam is her protector but can he protect Ava when Army Rangers come calling?
