This is a short, four-chapter novella introducing Ms. Andresen’s Lords of Scandal series. I really like this format (which she’s used before), since it introduces all the characters and sets up the main points of the plot. This is already promising to be an intriguing series!

Lords of Scandal is the prequel to the series. It’s a short story that gives us some background of the books to come. Jack, the Earl of Effington, is one of the owners of the Den of Sins. He is engaged to Lady Emily Chase and is ready to quit the Den so he can start his life with Emily. On the nights he was at the Den, he told Emily he had to work at his country estate. On the last night of him being part of the Den, he was late to meet Emily at a ball. Emily heard about where he really was, and her sisters and cousins talked her into going to the Den of Sins. The gentlemen who owned the Den of Sins had tried to keep their identity secret. When the Chase women descend into their Den, they decide they need to make sure the women don’t talk. They each pick one of the women, determined to stick close to them and ensure that they don’t disclose the identity of the owners.
Little did the men know what they were getting themselves into! This should be a fun series with plenty of humor and feisty females!

This was a introduction to the characters in the upcoming books in this series. It has me hooked with romance, danger, “Chase” scenes, rakes, rogues & ladies with some spice thrown in for good measure. I can’t wait to start reading the Duke of Daring!
When six beautiful debutantes accidentally stumble into the seedy gaming hell known only as the Den of Sins, Lady Emily Chase is certain no good can come from this. Even more distressing, the men who run the establishment are lords of good standing in disguise. And now her sisters and cousins have learned their secret. But worst of all…their leader is none other than her fiancée, the Earl of Effington.
All hell is about to break loose.
Read the whole series!
Duke of Daring
Marquess of Malice
Earl of Exile
Baron of Bad
Viscount of Vice
My review :
When a betrothed couple must come clean to save their impeding marriage, how the groom-to-be group of friends will react …
A fast paced and introduction read to a new series. Mrs Tammy Andresen lays the basis of different romances to come, forming the couples and presenting the different characters.
Jack and Emily get their epiphany here when her sisters and cousins for once are seen as more than Wallflowers by his group of friends all experts in various debaucheries.
Now to see how each couple will fall hard for the other.
Short but fun.
4.5 stars
Six lords are owners of a gambling den, The Den of Sins. Jack Earl of Effington has managed to rebuild his earldom with his proceeds from the club & is now about to marry. Then late at night six beautiful debutantes stumble into the gaming hell one of them is Lady Emily Chase, Jack’s fiance. Even more distressing, the men who run the establishment are lords of good standing in disguise. And now her sisters and cousins have learned their secret. After the young women leave the five remaining lords agree that each one will talk to one of the young women.
This beautifully sets up the series & I can’t wait to read it. It’s a short free read but it does exactly what its meant to do – make you want to read the series. Five lords who are all different but each one is already attracted to one of the Chase family. So five books to look forward to
Looking forward to reading this series!
