It was very sweet, as it was described by others. Not much of a cutting edge. I want a little more conflict that needs to be resolved in my books.
Lord Windermere spent a lot of time with the boy from the neighboring estate, with his friend’s little sister tagging along. Now that they’re both grown, the book explores whether they can reconnect and find romantic love. Most of the book takes place during a house party in the country. The characters are nice but not awesome and the plot is basic but not outstanding. Still, this is a good Friday night read.
Windmere was a man who became someone that I would have enjoyed inviting to dinner! Just kept reading way after midnight to get to the end. Really liked it!!!
Different
This was a very enjoyable story. I love the fact that these men decided to make a bet on who would be married before they turned 30. These men are supposed to be rakes. Who will marry them? It was fun to find out.
Easy to read regency romantic novel. I found that it was written too simplistically as if this could have been the author’s first novel. That being said, she shows good promise but this novel didn’t quite reach that excellent category. Still an enjoyabe read an sets you up for future novels with characters introduced .
it was so good a read that I immediately bought the other books in this series,
Interesting characters, nice plot.
This was an easy but fun read.
One book out of collection you will love the entire series will keep your attention and desire to read them all
The repetition from each book is redundant. I enjoyed the books in spite of this fact.
Very sweet tale.
This is the first of four books about four Regency lords and their ladies. The author promises more books in serial form in the future. The story is a romance, but it isn’t all that easy. While the author truly likes her lords and ladies, there are some truly evil people conspiring to wreck this budding relationship. The author certainly sharpens her fangs on the baddies! In all, this book is fun reading, not at all smutty, and — as you can tell — I enjoyed it and recommend it.
This book is very introspective. The reader gets a through understanding of the main characters’ dreams, desires and motivations. Starring a truly likable couple.
I really enjoyed this book. Quite Jane Austen-like.
This book is ok for a summer read. Has some surprises but ends poorly.
Fun book to read !
Entertaining romance.
A fun historical romance with fair depth of characters and interesting plot
This started out with lots of promise with interesting characters and then quickly came to an end….asking you to buy another book to keep the story going. I was very, very disappointed in the novel being so short without an ending, can’t even call it a complete novella!
