Fae law is clear—Never use magic in the mortal realm. Except that’s what I do for a living, and for paying off my student debt. I just couldn’t leave it on Aunt Miriam’s tired, battered shoulders, not to mention that love spells pay well. And it all worked out just fine—until it didn’t, and the Lord of Winter tracked me down. Lysander Nightfrost is a ruthless fae king enforcing millennia old law. … millennia old law. I should run for the hills when he appears, but my feet keep rooted in the ground. I can’t stop staring at his sharp warrior features, his hair like liquid gold, his ice-blue eyes sending chills all through me. He’s here to punish me. But when he learns who I really am, the tides turn.
I am what the fire king Xerxes has been searching for since the day my father died, which makes me a powerful weapon in Lysander’s hands. One of the ways he can use me is trade me over in exchange for something he wants from Xerxes. I’m trapped, stripped of choices, but not of my will. If I go down, I’ll take Lysander’s ice-cold heart with me. It’s a tough game, but I will either melt it, or drown it at the bottom of the ocean.

Another great read from the paranormal world of Ana calin this time it’s a hot fae winter Lord with a body and face made for sin!! The only problem he has a cold heart and when he goes to the mortal world to punish a half fae woman who has been using her water powers to make men fall in love with the women that pay her to do. Ariella is just trying to pay for college, but Mr cold and big bad doesn’t care. When Lysander nightfrost finds out she’s the lost daughter of the Ocean king he decides to give her to the fire king Xerxe so he doesn’t go to war with the winter fae,but he’s falling for ariella and backs out of the deal, but theirs consequences and lysander makes a desicion that will tear these two lovers apart. This is a great storyline and so many interesting characters as well. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, but more of a continuing in book two King of Frost coming out in January 2020 ! Until next time Luvs

Ugh again too short so it leaves details out. Starts out good and leaves you hanging. Good characters, good story, with romance.
Wow 1st book of hers now I won’t stop till I’ve read them all
Ana’s LORD OF WINTER IS FAST PACED WITH LOADS OF ACTION. THE UNDERCURRENT DYNAMICS ARE STRONG AND DRAW ONE IN WITH A SENSE OF WHAT IS TO COME. YOU WON’T WANT TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK.
Beginnings of an intriguing Fae series
—>>> Lately, I was itching for a Fae romance, and I found the beginnings of an intriguing series in this book, featuring Arielle de Saelaria who gets caught using Fae powers (very much prohibited) in the human world and earning money off her clients to pay her student loans. Unfortunately, Arielle was taken and imprisoned by the coldly beautiful and equally deadly King Lysander Nightfrost himself, Lord of the Winter Realm, the one Fae powerful enough to keep all the other realms in check, especially the Fire or Hell realm. When her name is brought to the Winter Council’s attention, that is when the action begins to take off between an ancient Fae King and a half-Fae But in the Flipside, which mirrors the mortal world, Arielle’s being found can finally mean an end to the cold war with King Xerxes and the constant struggle between their kingdoms of fire and ice, because he wants her. The good news was Arielle was no longer going to be jailed for her crimes. The bad news was she was going to be used as the Winter Court’s pawn…and sacrificed for their greater good instead. It may be way too late when Lysander realizes he wants to keep the one female who can turn his ice and steel molten, because he will do all he can to set her free as she wishes. How far she will get from this whole nightmare of a situation is another story. Really looking forward to continuing this series!
. . .
This is an amazing story. It is well written with beautifully developed characters. It is full of mystery, drama, suspense, and action. It pulls you in from the beginning. I love the uniqueness of the story. Arielle and Lysander have strong chemistry no matter if it is love or hate. The both are strong in their personalities that are felt throughout the story. The descriptions are vivid and you are able to picture them as if in front of you. Yes, the story does end in a cliffhanger but boy is it good. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
Such a compelling story. Arielle doesn’t take responsibility for her own actions. She knows the magic she is practicing in the human world is prohibited, but oh well, she needs the money. When she is taken into custody by the Lord of Winter for her crimes she finally realizes maybe she shouldn’t have done it. However, everyone is surprised when her ancestry is discovered and everything changes. Lysander is enchanted with her. There is a war brewing and Arielle is part of the solution. I loved the vulnerability Lysander shows when he is with her. I was irritated with her propensity to react to her emotions instead of thinking things through. Lysander broke my heart when he rushed into an arrangement after he and Arielle had an argument. I can’t wait for the next book! I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
