“Prolific author G.G. Vandagriff creates a world full of intrigue, suspense, and romance that fans of the Regency Period will adore. Vandagriff writes in a style reminiscent of Georgette Heyer.”–Deseret News.

This is a delightful regency romance novel with a great plot. The H, his brother , sister-in-law are the epitome of goodness and love and what a great family should be that provides the healing balm to the H who is returning from the English war with Napoleon and has been suffering from melancholia due to the cruelty and horrors of war. He is a member of the gentry but he does not want to live the idle life and would like to be able to help his comrades in war that are coming back homeless in poverty and sickness . He together with some friends are establishing a charity and raise funds to help them . He meets the h who is a heiress but hiding and working incognito as a governess because her uncle beat her trying to force her to marry a Lord Manchester who would just go through her inheritance with his gambling. Their social interactions until they realize they love each other makes for a great read and HEA. I highly recommend this novel.

It was an interesting read.
Pleasant story with well-developed characters.
A Wonderful Read. Loved this book.
I have said it before and will say it again. I love her books.
It was a good read. Not an original, but satisfying.
I liked the characters feeling real, a man returned from war with an injury and melancholia and a young woman with a positive outlook on life in spite of the recent deaths of family. I was disappointed that the ending was so fast, however, and think it detracted from the strong story up until that point. I would recommend this book in spite of that.
I really like novels by G. G. VanderGrift
