Fun, romantic, cozy mystery featuring amateur sleuth and antique store owner, Lucy Mathews. Lucy and her dog find romance and murder in the mountains of Montana.
Lucy Mathews, crime reporter turned antiques dealer, avoids confrontation like a home perm. She even lets a cat shove her around.
When Lucy trips over the body of a buckskin-clad relics trader, her ex-boss asks her to cover the … to cover the story. She tries to tell him no, but old habits die hard and soon she finds herself directly in the path of a killer and the exasperating, if attractive, detective in charge.
Can Lucy catch a killer or is this the last confrontation for her — period?

A not so cozy cozy. I found the main character too wishy washy, and her insecurities annoying. It seems the author tried for some romance but fell short, there was no chemistry or tension between the romantic partners and in the end no real relationship. The storyline was just OK, not exciting not too interesting and not enough suspense built …
It was a good read, drama and entertainment wrapped well together.

Nice, light, cozy mystery.
1st in series.
Rating: PG (elementary students wouldn’t be interested.)
No sex
No graphic violence or stomach-turning descriptions
No strong language that I can remember. (It’s been a couple weeks since I finished.)
When I started reading, I thought the story was going to be deadly slow. Additionally, within the first 2 …
A missing priceless ruby hidden in an antique. A reporter turned antique dealer involved in the chase to find it. Mix in some good buddies and some zany antics and you have a good Summer book. Recommend it.
A fun cozy mystery set in Montana. Love learning about that area and the characters are wonderful. Can’t wait to get to know them better.
This story takes to a simpler life in Montana where everyone knows everyone. And everyone is involved somehow in what is going on. It did keep me guessing up until the end.
i loved it
This book was time wasted but pleasant time.
I think that it has a sense of mystery and entertain
Light, interesting, great Malamute companion, set in a western mountain setting.
