Hooking up with my brother’s two best friends was a bad idea. But when the guy I’ve crushed on for ages stumbles on my stash of battery-operated toys, and offers to teach me how much fun they are with a partner, there’s no way I’m saying no. Especially when his boyfriend wants to watch. It’s just a one-time thing, though. Which is good, because I need headspace to focus on the Hollywood costume … headspace to focus on the Hollywood costume designer who’s trying to scam me and other cosplay designers like me out of our hard-earned money. She’s making my life a living hell for exposing her to the internet.
Jax and Grayson offer a tempting distraction by exposing me. In my bedroom. At a company holiday party…
If I can’t unravel how I feel about them, and sift through the Hollywood-style legal trouble we’ve brought crashing down around us, the only things I’ll be getting for Christmas are a broken career and a shattered heart.

Well, this cover is just a one-click one on its own!
Polyamorous romance is fairly new to me. I’ve read a lot of m/m recently, but this one is m/m/f and even throws in a friends to lovers trope along with it.
It’s a fairly simple romance story with complicated logistics, at least unless costume designer, Sadie, can get over her dream of the perfect wedding dress and a 2.4 children life.
It was a short read, and actually, I would’ve loved a bit longer to allow the emotions to develop. The two guys could’ve demonstrated their love and not just lust.
But I’m really not complaining.
There’s computer gamer action and some cosplay – all good fun.
This is a short, fun read if you’re just dipping your toe into this genre.
Read it!
I really like to read menages. So as soon as I saw the cover I knew I would be reading this one. I reading liked the fact that Jax and Grayson are an established couple. They know Sadie as a friend and Jax is friends with Sadie’s brother. They are helping her move but there is actually more than that which we find out later. This is one of those books with little hidden easter eggs so make sure to take your time when you read it and enjoy this well-written and fun book. I love the back and side stories as well as the main story too. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series which I am deep diving into right now. This book is the perfect length to enjoy!
I love a book with memorable characters, and Sadie, Jax and Chase are the kind I feel as if I know and love. There is just the right amount of struggle to HEA to give this story the authenticity I crave. I also love a dirty talking man and Jax has the kind of swagger that appeals. A great MMF friends to lovers. You will be rooting for them.
great sexy read
Book one in the Three Player Co-Op series. Sadie (Mercedes) Hughes & school sweetheart Jax and his boyfriend Grayson get a second chance.
Misunderstanding in high school has Sadie & Jax at odds. But time has dimmed the hurt since Jax is after all her older brother Chase’s best friend. But a new situation arises and Sadie gets to live out her fantasy with both Jax and Grayson but will her feelings and beliefs prevent her from potential happiness? It’s a story worth reading to know.
I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to read this book. I mean, I love gaming, I love cosplay, and I love menage romances. So of course, once I started reading, I didn’t want to put this book down. Sadie, Jax, and Grayson are cute and nerdy, and I loved this story! This is going back on my TBR shelf so I can read it again!
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I’ve come to the end of this book and I kind of don’t even know what to say about it. I can’t help but imagine being the geek girl who is the focus of these two utterly brilliant men. Men who are determined to show her how much they care for her, admire her, want her. It’s an intoxicating thought. I got carried away with it in much the same way Sadie did. Jax and Grayson have been part of her life, part of her fantasies forever and now she has an unbelievable opportunity to turn fantasy into reality. Reality brings with it emotions and consequences none of them were expecting. I was immediately pulled into their story and I was desperate to find out how they were going to get to their happy ever after. I’m already starting to fall in love with the rest of their supporting cast and anxiously look forward to reading their stories to.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Great new ménage storyline and one that puts a new spin on the MFM hookup. Jax is the “one who got away” from Sadie and broke her heart after she heard that said some terrible things about her several years ago. His back in her life now (sort of) but also has a relationship with Grayson, another gorgeous male specimen. All three are good friends but then Jax suggests a “new” type of relationship for them. Can she overcome her past hurt feelings and turn Jax and Grayson into something other than friends? The storyline will keep you on your toes and the sex scenes are new and as refreshing as they are sizzling. Definitely a book worth reading (and re-reading).
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
I’ve been on a heck of a reading frenzy and it’s the fault of books like Allyson Lindt’s Looking For It (Three Player Co-op Book 1). This book was frankly too freakin’ delicious. The publisher should put some sort of warning sign: “addictive material: danger to sleep”. I mean I just could not put it down. Total yumminess. I loved Sadie, Jax and Grayson’s story and not just because I’m a total true Geek myself. I mean, I’m happily married and not in the market for a harem – I’m sure my husband would be happy to know that – so I can read based just on a novel’s merits! This novel? Perfect fun, and highly recommended.
I consider this a two trope story, Sadie practically grew up with Jax and crushed on him for years, and he’s a good friend of her brother. So, brother’s friend and second chance. Usually I’m not that fond of a girl coming into an existing H/H relationship but this tale does it right. We get enough of the background to really know the characters. I love that they’re geeks, but with sensitive hearts. There is just enough angst, an outside conflict (or two), and some smoking hot sexy times. Win, win, win!
Okay quite explicit, It was nice to change to see the men have emotions instead of the usual concept of casual sex & leave. It was the woman who had doubts & reservations of what a love relationship should be.
I appreciated both men’s desire of their friend. The honesty about how they felt for her seemed real.
If you are into a three some story line. Then I think you will like this. It has sex, a plot, storyline & of course a HEA ending/ Recommending based on the type of story.
Currently the ebook free on Kobo & Kindle, audio 99¢ on Chirp.
At 4 hours – Allyson Lindt managed to pack a lot into this MMF novella.
While I enjoyed it and it was a quick and easy listen – Duet Narration! – it felt like so much was thrown out there that Lindt wasn’t able to wrap it up in a completely satisfying way. Deus ex machina.
I like my MMF to feel equal – both in knowing all the characters and in that these three have a solid relationships with each other and as a whole. It was hindered by the fact that the book was entirely from Sadie’s perspective, so Jax & Grayson’s feelings, personalities, etc just weren’t as established for me.
The plot lines were solid starts and I just wish maybe Lindt had picked fewer of them and explored them more. As a gamer, I enjoyed the cosplay, gamer, con themes. The epilogue was cute.
As an MMF fan, I’m am tempted to read another one to see if it’s just a case of “not quite” with this particular story.
Narration:
This was my first time listening to Tippy Robinson & Simon King. While this was duet narration – because the book is only from Sadie’s POV – it’s mainly Robinson narrating with King offering any male spoken lines. King, for what little he appears, has a good voice.
I struggled to connect with Robinson’s. There was nothing overtly wrong that I can pinpoint, it just didn’t work for me. Though – I’m not sure if it was Robinson, the writing, or perhaps the combo of the two. I’d be willing to try her work again and see if I click better there.
Multiple steamy moments. I liked the basic framework of the story, but thought that it was weakened by downplaying of the career impact. Overall a series I’m willing to pursue further.
Quick fun read
I purchased this via Amazon. It is book 1 in a series.
Triggers:
No bad things. It is a MMF storyline so if you do not like that, this book isn’t for you.
Spoilers:
Sadie, into cos-play, makes costumes and has her own vlog. Was deeply hurt by her hs boyfriend but eventually they became friends again.
Jax, loved Sadie but they broke up during hs over a lie someone else told. He moved on with Grayson and they are in a committed relationship.
Jax and Grayson both care for Sadie and want her to be a part of their lives. Some mild drama. Sexy times. HEA
Author did a great job showing the relationship between the two men and their relationship individually and together with Sadie.
Great read
Excellent! Loved it.
Great quick read!
Fantastic
Enjoyed reading!
