Not my favorite John Green, but definitely worth the read! My students always love it when I recommended it to them.
Looking for Alaska (2005) is the first book by John Green. It follows high school junior Miles during his year at a boarding school in a small town in Alabama. He didn’t mind leaving his old public school in Florida, where he didn’t fit in and had hardly any friends. Almost right away at his new school, he falls in with a group of …
This book easily makes my top five list as favorite novels of all time. The story is funny, touching, tragic, and perfect. I’ve re-read it three times.
I love this book!
My fiancé’s favorite book of all time. So she asked me to read it and I was not let down. Great heartfelt story filled with humor and tragedy. Recommend for anyone!
John Green writes great books! Intended for the young adult crowd, but good for all!
great mini series on Hulu and great book!
Coming of age, not only with first time love and sex, but also death.
I read this book in my English class in high school. I’m not much of a reader, however, I finished this book before everyone else in the class. And we were supposed to read it as a class.
One of my favourite books, I’ve read it so many times and bought the original version too!
this book is a cult classic now, definitely my favourite john green, enjoyed reading every second of it.
This book was amazing, I can’t explain it- it was just one of the best books i’ve ever read!
I absolutely recommend this book! John Green’s characters are sarcastic, likable, and realistic. Looking for Alaska is one of those rare books that can make you laugh and cry at the same time.
It shows how realistic high school is and how hard it can be being a teenager
True book and people think human
A touching and heartbreaking story. Miles’ search for purpose and identity throughout the novel was very relatable and the characters feel like real people, rather than the typical y/a protagonist. I definitely recommend this novel.
I honestly loved this book, and although I usually don’t read non-fantasy books, I found it very interesting and a bit of a page-turner.
Honestly perfect. I have read it over and over and every time I find more quotes I love and I never grow tired of it. Beautiful.
This book broke my heart and it is just so tragic and sad and so much happens in the pages bit just hurts me but also heals me
Loved every moment!
