Look For Me by Jan Thompson is a contemporary Christian suspense that will consume from the start. It is the fourth book in the Vacation Sweethearts series but can be read as a stand-alone.
As always, the reader receives a warm welcome as the characters are well drawn and delightful. There are wholesome godly men and women who turn to God at all times. “Life was still hard but now she had hope in Christ.” Without Jesus, life makes no sense at times. With Jesus, we can receive a peace that passes understanding in spite of our circumstances.
Characters have lives that are falling apart but “Jesus Christ was her rescuer.” Jesus rescues us not only from our circumstances but also from ourselves. Once we know Jesus, our hearts desire is to introduce Him to others. There is a dying world that needs to know Jesus.
Prayer is important. Sometimes life falls apart and “all we can do now is pray.” There are times when we have no words but Jesus knows our heart. “God would hear the prayers of his heart even when he couldn’t form the words.”
Names are part of our identity. A name change may signify a change in circumstances. The reader is reminded that when we come to Jesus, He gives us a new name. He calls us beloved.
Children are a gift from God. No matter what the circumstances of our conception, each child is loved and planned for by God. We are urged to take care of the widows and orphans. When we know God, we are adopted into His family. There are no orphans in the Kingdom.
I thoroughly enjoyed Look For Me. It was not only an exciting suspense but it revealed the heart of God.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
I could not put down Look for Me! Ms. Thompson does suspense so well. Corinne and Martin seemed so normal – like they could be neighbors. Of course, little is what it seems. There are thugs, moles, double crosses and plenty to keep you on the edge of your seat. There are also second chances, God’s love, protection and forgiveness and many good people to help the main characters. This is an awesome book no one should miss.
This is a good story that I enjoyed a lot. There is a little suspense & romance. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review.
Martin can’t believe his eyes when he sees Corinne for the first time in four years. Corinne is shocked when Martin walks into her work. Martin can’t figure out what has happened to Corinne since the last time he saw her. Corinne knows she has to avoid Martin for his own safety. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful story. Jan Thompson will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
