Nicholas Ford, a successful club owner in his mid-thirties, decided a while back to deny his true nature in order to follow his family’s advice and settle down. The day before he is to attend his girlfriend’s sister’s wedding, he makes an appearance at his BDSM club and runs into Kayla, a bubbly Little Girl who captures his undivided attention.
Look but don’t touch, … don’t touch, Nicholas tells himself.
What he doesn’t know is that Kayla’s in town to go to her cousin’s wedding…

This is the first MF book of Cara’s I have read (I have only read her MM books) and now I’m hooked!
Look But Don’t Touch was short, sweet and oh so hot. This is the first DD/lg MF book I have read and loved and I can’t wait to see what else Cara has in this series.
I can’t wait to read more of Kayla and Nicholas’ story.
I’m diving straight into the next book in the series.
Though I definitely have a weak spot for the idea of the old, dominant man taking matters into his own hands and have previously stated to throughly enjoy when the term “Daddy” is introduced while in the throes of passion, I believe this to be the first, more in-depth DD/LG book I’ve ever actually read.
To be completely honest – and maybe this is due to my aforementioned lack of experience or a better understanding of this specific kink – at some points of the story I was kind of unsure of how to feel about certain bits of dialogue and the words use.
But then the “regression” aspect was sort of explained and that made me comprehend somewhat what’s exactly at play here.
And also – as with all kinks, I guess – there’s always some degree of suspension of disbelief. Things are not always black and white, right or wrong, and as long as we’re talking about two consenting adults, hurting no one, what you do inside the bedroom should not concern anyone else.
I don’t necessarily prefer this kink above all others but I’m not one to completely reject something I don’t fully understand, so I won’t turn my back on it.
That being said, I’ll definitely be on the lookout for books of this genre to see how other authors – or even Cara Dee herself – approach the subject.
I liked Nicholas and Kayla a lot and even though I couldn’t say for sure, this was probably one of the best stories I could’ve use as an introduction to the subject matter.
It was sort, sweet, sexy and enlightening.
Thank you to the Read Me Romance podcast for introducing me to Cara Dee and this new world.
I’ve been loving the content you’ve been delivering weekly and undoubtedly trust your judgement: that’s why I had no qualms about giving this one a try, regardless of my initial reticence.
You ladies said it best: you don’t have to like it, you can just stop listening and never have anything to do with it ever again.
But I guess my reservations had more to do with the fact the I could read it and like something that is often misunderstood and can be perceived as something else entirely.
So, thank you for introducing me to this story and inadvertently providing me with a better interpretation of this theme.
And I love Cara Dee’s writing style: I will definitely be checking out her other books.
An off the charts hot Daddy Dom story!
I think this was my first age play/Daddy Dom story, and while I love BDSM, I’m not really into girls with pigtails and them calling their sexual partner Daddy. Yes, I knew this book would veer in this direction and I was curious enough to try it. Surprise, surprise! I really liked it! Well, I’m still not into this kind of play but the story was a major turn on nonetheless.
It was a very short story but an off the charts hot read. It had me hot and bothered, and squirming in my seat in no time. The hero moved rather fast though considering he’s in a relationship at the beginning. It was still sort of reasonable since he stated how this vanilla relationship wasn’t satisfying for him. And when he met a good girl at his club that fit so perfectly into his prey pattern, his suppressed needs came rushing back at him.
This couple was addictive and I wish this was a full length novel so I could read more about them. Since it was so short, there wasn’t any real romance in it, so keep that in mind. It didn’t bother me because these kinky fucking reads are exactly my kind of books.
Well, I bought the Complete Series in a bundle and it was my fault for not paying attention that the books were standalones. I thought this series would continue with the same characters in each book but after I read the first one, I saw that the second book was about different characters. What a pity, I really enjoyed Nicholas and would have loved to read more about him and Kayla. Lucky for me I later found out that there was more about them. =P
The Story:
Nicholas Ford was a successful club owner and gave up his BDSM lifestyle to settle down as per his mother’s wish. He went vanilla, met Amanda, and now felt miserable. And since his girlfriend was quite the opposite of what he longed for, this relationship was doomed from the beginning. Then he met Kayla who more than met his sexual needs.
This is one of my favorite books! I want my own Nicolas!!!!
<3 <3 <3 Cara is one of my fave writers!
