Stephanie Plum faces the toughest puzzle of her career in the twenty-fifth entry in Janet Evanovich’s #1 New York Times-bestselling series. There’s nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each … earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that’s been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it’s a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they’d better figure out what’s going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum.

Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter and a street smart Jersey girl. Someone is kidnapping the managers at a local sandwich shop. Stephanie and Lula go undercover to catch the kidnapper. Of course she has Ranger as backup. This book is witty, unpredictable and action-packed. Janet Evanovich creates the most entertaining plots. The narrator, Lorelei King, is fabulous! She is the absolute best at creating entertaining voices. You have no trouble differentiating between characters.
I love the Plum serious from Ivanovic I’ll read them all and enjoy it
I’ve read several books in this series. The antics of the characters aren’t as amusing any more.
If you’ve read any of the Evanovich’s Plum series then you know what this book is. It has humor, ridiculously funny at times and just ridiculous at times. Lula and Steph not only bumble their bond hunting, but also working in a deli while trying to find the bond jumpers one of which gets abducted (leaving only a shoe as a clue). Throw in a little Morelli and Ranger and you’ve got a good day’s worth of fun reading. Kudos, Janet!!
Not as good as her previous Stephanie Plum books. I hope she continue to write this series and they get better.
love reading about Lulu’s costumes and how Stephanie and Lulu pursue the bond jumpers
I love all of her books ! Have been reading them for years ,they are funny and enjoy the characters
A nice, mindless beach read.
I can’t step away from this series but as with most of these later books nowhere near as good as the first 10
Fun fluff.
Laugh Out Loud!!! with a moderate amount of suspense and a good dose of romance. Great after reading something serious and heavy.
Better than average for this series.
Looking for a fun read? This is it. Another hysterical romp with Stephanie Plum. How does this bond bails woman get into so many scrapes? Read it for yourself, and be ready to laugh out loud!.
A loooong way from her funniest and best.
I have always enjoyed the Stephanie Plum books, but this one was a disappointment. I usually get a few good laughs while reading them, but this one lacked the humor of the previous books.
Not one of the best
I absolutely loved the first ones but…now, not so much
This was a lighthearted easy read, less scary than some of the other Plum books. Usual ineptness mixed in with a can-at-least-try attitude.
Love this series
Eh, not the best Stephanie plum series that I have read. No laugh out load scenes that are in her other books.
Disappointing. Too much over the top silliness for me.
