Longing For Ever After is a highly emotional and loving romance. It shows how the attack that Summer endured caused her to fear men and left her with panic attacks. But it only took the right man to help heal her soul and she felt safe once again with him. Jonah was a super nice guy and when he seen Summer he knew she would be his wife. He would do anything to help her get back to being the strong woman she used to be. And Summer fell in love with Jonah but the last part of the attack that she had kept from Jonah had to be told. She knew that would end the relationship. Instead after she tells him she says she needs to go slower to push him away as she felt the news was too much for Jonah to accept. But could Summer be wrong about Jonah’s love for her? It is a very entertaining book and makes you want to continue the series.
Debra Clopton continues to turn out tender romances in Longing for Ever After! Jonah is a strong, caring, protective man who falls for Summer at first sight! Summer has issues in her past that she needs to work through. The Sinclair brothers are good at being just what their loves need! You will be captivated by this contemporary romance. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Longing for Ever-After by Debra Clopton
Sunset Bay Series Book Four
Jonah Sinclair has been longing for his happily-ever-after. Now that two of his brothers and one of his sisters have found their ever-afters, he’s even more determined to find his. When he meets a woman on the pier, and finds out she can’t be the one…he decides it’s time to hit the dating scene again. No matter how much he dislikes it.
Summer Claremont’s life has changed. She used to be a strong woman who led others. Now she cowered. When her brother asks her to move with him to the small beach town to help care for his daughter, her niece, she agrees. And soon, she finds it’s the best decision she’s ever made.
Life is never so easy. Jonah is ready for the picket fence house; Summer has issues that run deep. Life-changing issues that she has trouble believing someone like Jonah can accept. Another great story in this series. Some hard, real-life truths too. And the truth of how having friends to talk to can make all the difference. Great story and characters.

A sweet addition to the Sunset Bay Romance series, Longing for Ever After gives Jonah a chance to find his own true love. And although this story is sweet, with humorous scenes featuring a precocious five year old girl, the story itself delves into the necessity of healing from some very serious hurts.
If you haven’t read the other books in the series, I believe that you could hop in and still enjoy this book. I liked seeing Jonah and Summer fall for each other and work through the issues that came up. I wasn’t quite as connected to these two main characters as I have been for the other couples in previous books of the series, yet it was still fun to see them get their happily ever after and to catch up with the various siblings and their significant others from previous stories.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Summer has been through something I pray I never experience. Jonah is longing to find his forever love. I thought the author did a great job in handling Summer’s trauma as well as the grief her brother and niece are going through. This is such an awesome series and always look forward to the next book. Jonah and Summer have chemistry that goes beyond physical attraction. He was really patient and supportive as well as his family. He has the best family!!! The ending was so sweet.
Longing for Ever After (Sunset Bay Romance Book 4) by Debra Clopton
I enjoyed this book about Hunter, his daughter Polly, his sister Summer, Jonah Sinclair and his family. Hunter, Polly and Summer all had traumatic situations in their past to work through. Finally they did begin to get over them. Jonah after not dating for a while became interested in Summer the first time their paths crossed.
I missed the humor that is usually in Debra Clopton’s books but I understand this book was about serious problems being overcome.
How frustrating must it be to feel that you are ready to settle down and start a family but you just haven’t found the right person yet? And to top it off, your siblings are starting to fall in love and get married? But then, you know what they say – you’ll find true love when you least expect it. This is certainly the case for Jonah. Only problem is, he thinks the woman he’s attracted to is married and has a child.
Summer along with her brother Hunter and his daughter Polly have moved to Sunset Bay to for a fresh start. Each of them have suffered a tragedy and are looking to heal.
I found this to be a very emotional book – everything from making me laugh out loud to making me sad at some of the things that had happened to the characters. Loved 5 year old Polly who had me laughing many times and the antics of the four older ladies (hopefully they’ll get their own love story).
True to form, the author gives us a touching clean romance.
Jonah, another of the Sinclair offsprings and cousin to the Sinclair clan in Windswept Bay, might get a chance to find this true love.
He’s the one everyone thought would be married by now but he still hasn’t found “the one”. That is, until a sweet 5 year old starts a conversation with him, and a woman runs to the child that has left her side. Jonah is smitten, but fears she’s married.
As the story progresses , we come to discover why Summer, Polly, the child, and her father Hunter, have moved to this whimsical town.
These three need a fresh start, and each one has to overcome a past that has changed forever their present and their future.
Will Jonah be the one to help Summer? Will Summer accept his help and declarations? Or will fear keep them from finding their HEA?
Another sweet addition to this series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
