Long Witch Night is the second book of the Red Witch Chronicles, an urban fantasy series containing magic, paranormal adventure, and vampire mayhem along with swearing, violence, and adult situations. Perfect for fans of Kim Harrison, Patricia Briggs, Jasmine Walt, and Ilona Andrews.
This is technically a Christmas book, in the same way that Die Hard is a Christmas movie.

Red nearly dies, repeatedly. Strap in, it’s a rough ride
If I’ve got this right, there’s life, death, something in between, then several other states of being or places to be. The afterlife sounds complex.
After book 1, this is just ‘more’. The mystery of Red’s power or lack of it is only slightly getting solved, there’s a hint Red is destined for greatness, but that’s a way off. There’s a huge fight/torture segment in dreamland that goes on a bit, at times I struggled to follow the action, but the resolution was satisfying. Her two pet vampires continue to annoy and delight in equal measure. To say her boyfriend situation is complicated would be a massive understatement! There’s an intriguing epilogue, not a cliffhanger as such, just the possibility of some essential information to Red.
She is called to a film set to help them get rid of a haunting which could change how the film will get on. What is she going to find? How is she going to deal with it all? See if the film gets made

Red and Vic are a great team. So much happens in this book that I do not know what to say. I will say this, watching Red becoming who she is meant to be is epic! I just can’t get enough of this world. This is a great book and I highly recommend it. No spoilers here but it is an action packed, fun and entertaining story. Happy Reading!!!
Our heroine is trying to protect a movie production from some overzealous spirits which are intent on taking the souls out of this movie. No time for eggnog here.
This is book two of a rough and tumble urban fantasy series. The story stands on its own pretty well, although you will be missing some of the background for the characters and situation.
This story was well written and packs a complex plot with lots of unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well developed and definitely have their own unique personalities, with both strengths and flaws. The setting is also complex and I am enjoying learning more about it with each new book. I really love our heroine and her no nonsense attitude. Overall, an excellent read and I am looking forward to more.
Highly recommended.

You are caught up in the characters. They are trying to do good though they have many obstacles ahead of them. Her confusion of who she was by amnesia makes the story more intriguing.
Red goes to Hollywood…..
“Long Night Witch” the second book in the “Red Witch Chronicles” is even better than its predecessor and believe me the bar was already very high. Sami Valentine’s fabulous writing style and a very good edition add a plus to the already extraordinary story.
Red and Vic are working in LA as hired hunters for Quinn. While Vic tries to come to terms with his own bitterness about being relegated to a wheelchair, Red continues to fight her own amnesia the way she knows best: hunting demons and other misfits. As both are called to a movie set, supposedly haunting by a ghost with “Hollywood aspirations” the movie dream turns to nightmare and Red becomes herself haunted in her dream by an ambivalent spirit: Does he wish to harm her or rather help her in her quest for answers? Welcome to mayhem the story develops in a rollercoaster of ghost, hauntings, possessions, and alternative worlds that don’t allow the reader a single moment of break. And as added bonus Red explores the story of her doppelgänger and find some answers…
The “Red Witch Chronicles” Series is urban fantasy at its best, with a rich developed world, likeable characters and interesting twists, and I’m sure the best it still to come as the Series improves with each book.

Epic win as a story. Epic fails for her beau and her bestie when they do not immediately recognize the evil witchy invasion.
What’s a gal to do we she can only remember the last 18 months or so? Do her best to survive the efforts to destroy her and everyone else! Stand up for who she wants to be now and moving forward.
Of course, if she survives she has to deal with the consequences of the efforts of the baddies- and some of these are more public than the Dark Veil Authorities allow.
Intense action adventure, with weighing of self value and personal relationships
Red and the guys are called to various sites due to hauntings. They track down the items coming from a home in Tennessee. The house belonged to a woman that was called the Bell Witch. It is the same witch that has been visiting her dreams. While dealing with the hauntings, Red is still dealing with the fall out from the fight with Michel and the vampires, helping Vic deal with his new reality.
Things take a turn for the worse when Red confronts a group of vampires and a curse takes her out of her body. She meets up with Basil and the Bell Witch tries to help before she sent away. Red and Basil will try everything they can to connect the guys.
Red will have to deal with seeing pieces of Jupiter’s life, trying to stay alive to get back to her body and life. She will need all her wits about her to take out this big bad, but she won’t be able to do it alone.
This was such a good read, the way the author wove in Jupiter’s story and past of the guys. Red learning to accept her magic. I am hoping she gets some glimpses of her missing memories to kick it up a notch. I love the relationship between her and Lucas. Already can’t wait for book 3

I did not read the first novel in this series, but was still totally able to enjoy the book. The author dropped enough information about known events in the protagonist’s past that I did not feel at all lost in the storyline. Since the protagonist herself suffers from amnesia, I also felt comfortable discovering things from her past which neither she nor I knew.
The line-up of characters is a smorgasbord guaranteed to thrill any lover of supernatural and paranormal stories. Witches, warlocks, mediums, shamans, vampires and ghosts all make their distinctive appearances, adding immense flavor to this novel. They all seem to be right at home in the modern Hollywood this story is set in.
Plenty of action, both physical and magical, enough love interest to spice up the story without turning into an all out romance, and enough mystery about the protagonist’s forgotten past to keep the reader wanting to know more. An enjoyable read for fans of the paranormal!
