A stolen past The only thing Tucker remembers of his past is pain. Used in a doctor’s evil experiments, his memories and identity were erased, and his freedom taken. He believed his nightmare was over when he was liberated by the men and women of McKay-Taggart, until he heard the name Steven Reasor. The idea that he could have been involved in the terrible experiments that cost his “brothers” … his “brothers” everything crushed him. A desperate attempt to force him to remember the truth almost cost him his life. Now his world is in chaos and his only path to finally uncover the truth and atone for his sins leads to Veronica Croft.
A painful present
Veronica “Roni” Croft knew Dr. Steven Reasor was bad for her, but she also saw a side of the man that no one else knew. Even as she began to believe their employer was hiding something sinister, she was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Their affair was passionate and intense, but also fraught with danger. When he disappeared under mysterious circumstances, she took her first chance to run and never looked back. She has stayed hidden ever since, running from forces she knows are too powerful to overcome. But now the man she believed was dead, the man she mourned, has returned and needs her help.
A dangerous future
As Tucker and Roni unravel the secrets of his past, a dark force rises and threatens to destroy them. Their only chance for survival will require them to join forces with the Lost Boys’ worst enemy. Only together can they finally unlock Tucker’s past. But as Tucker’s memories begin to come back, will it free them both or tear them apart forever?

Tucker and Roni’s story was everything I could have hoped for! So much fun! Steaming hot and totally charming with all the super spy intrigue and adventure you’d expect. Plus it was great to see a lot of familiar faces (including a surprising one). Anyway, I don’t want to say too much but I absolutely recommend this book. If you’re new to the series, this is a fine place to start. But if you’ve read the backlist you’ll be even happier to see Tucker and Roni get their HEA. And Ian Taggart is a total crackup here, even more so than normal.
I absolutely ADORED this book! And I can’t wait until September to see what happens with Ezra and Solo!
…Thankfully, we’ll get Nina’s story (Charmed) in June to help with the wait!
Past. Present. Future. They all come crashing together to make for a suspenseful story bring together both Roni and Tucker. Twist and turns awaiting you with each revelation. There was not straightforward way through all this. There was danger, pain and a chance to find that something special. Roni and Tucker take the chance and find so much more than the answers he so desperately wanted.
We have seen Tucker in the prior books. Now, come and see what made him the man that he currently was. See what shaped him. Come see the journey he takes through dangers to find answers and love. LONG LOST earns its place with the Masters & Mercenaries: The Forgotten.
This book blew me away. I couldn’t put it down. Without giving too much away, this is Tucker’s book. The mystery of who Tucker really is and his relationship with Roni Croft is explained in this book. Lexi Blake also hits us with another identity reveal I didn’t see coming. Full of action and suspense. A definite reread for me. Best in the series. If I could give it more than 5 Stars, I would.
Tucker’s story. This book was everything I hoped for. Fast paced, a side of sarcastic Tag, with new and re-appearing characters making it even better.
Long Lost shows us another Lost Boy adventure, tucker and Roni. There are many revelations in this book, some heartwarming, some shocking, and there’s one heck of curve ball I never saw coming, that yep, made me cry.
I promised I’d pace myself reading this one, but, didn’t happen. The heck with cleaning and cooking, i spent the weekend reading!
When the McKay-Taggert group rescued Ian’s younger brother from a ruthless scientist who had wiped his memory and turned him and other military men into fighting automatons, no one expects them to manage to find a life after their ordeal. Tucker, one of the “lost boys”, manages to find romance and many of his memories that had been erased while being pursued by various governments for crimes he committed while under Dr. McDonald’s mind control.
5 Stars
I will do my best to review this book without giving away ANY of this amazing story! Tucker is a character you cannot resist, he is loving, sweet and quirky throughout the entire series. When we begin to get pieces of his past, that image begins to crack and everyone wants to know who was Tucker before. Ms. Blake has answered this question so perfectly I could not put this book down! As expected, we get the action, suspense and intensity we love, while still getting enough of the love and affection we need. This book answers so many of the questions we have, but absolutely keeps me waiting on the edge of my seat for what is coming next!!

I love this series and Tucker’s story is no exception. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but Lexi Blake had some plot twists that blew me away. A few I kind of saw coming, but most was shocking in the best way. It’s always great to get to hear Ian insulting someone’s, not to mention Levi being, well, Levi. I also liked how the ending segues into the next book with Ezra and Solo. I can’t wait!!!
As a fan of Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series, it was an easy jump over the The Forgotten, the books that detail the lives and loves of the “Lost Boys.” As with the previous three books in this series, there are memories recovered, questions answered, and every bit of suspense that you could want.
Tucker has long been one of my favorite of the boys, but LONG LOST shows a side of him at odds with the man that we know and love. Of course it stands to reason that he was a completely different person when keeping company with Dr. Hope McDonald, but has Tucker really changed, or are parts of Dr. Razor still hiding inside him?
Lexi does her usual excellent job of writing a taut, suspenseful read that still manages to have love and hope at its center. But the story of our Lost Boys is far from over, with Solo’s and Ezra’s story just around the corner. This book is a must-read for Lexi’s fans, and it definitely helps to read this series in order. Make plans to grab LONG LOST, and settle in for one heck of a ride.
It’s finally time for Tucker’s story and Lexi Blake pretty much does a mic drop with this book!
Tucker, the sweetest of the puppies, as Ian Taggart would say, has a stolen past. He’s not loving the few things he remembers or that other people have told him about himself, including how he may have earned the nickname Dr. Razor. Now, he’s in a coma after being given a supposed antidote to force his brain to start reconnecting in ways Hope McDonald’s drug ruined. When he finally wakens, he hears a voice from his past he’s never forgotten even if he can’t remember her name.
Roni Croft thought the Steven Reasor she knew was gone forever. After a night of passion and promises, he disappeared from her life without a trace except for an unexpected visit from her boss, Dr. Hope McDonald, telling Roni she had been used. When she finds out she is pregnant and realizes the lab they had been working in had dangerous secrets, Roni went on the run. But now, she’s been found by Solo and brought in to help with Tucker’s past . . . except she has one heck of a secret of her own to tell him.
Still drawn to one another, Tucker and Roni are caught in a web of secrets and lies. Both pawns to the intelligence agencies of various countries, they work with the McKay Taggart crew and the other Lost Boys to solve what’s left of the puzzle trying to find out who they were before being taken by Hope McDonald and if they ever stop looking over their shoulders at who wants to use them for the secrets their brains contain next.
As the drug given to counteract Hope McDonald’s starts working, more of Tucker’s past is revealed, but will it be enough to save him, Roni and the others in time?
Long Lost was super emotional! There has been so much deceit and so many lies and innocents caught up in a crazy woman’s schemes that have ruined so many lives.
I loved that Roni had seen a different side to Steven Reasor and never believed him to be the Dr. Razor others did. I adored that Tucker knew in his heart that “she” was out there somewhere even if he didn’t know exactly who she was.
Long Lost had pulse pounding adventure. Lexi Blake has masterfully woven so many tangled webs together and some truly shocking reveals come out in this book . . . one that is so emotional that I was smiling and crying at the same time!
I love these Lost Boys who have bonded together as brothers and the woman standing by their sides giving them new lives and memories as well as all of the extended McKay-Taggart crew that have vowed to protect them with their lives as they seek the truth.
And, the end . .. that’s that Lexi Blake mic drop I was talking about . . . let’s just say that the final book in this series is going to be off the hook! 5 stars
5 Hang onto your Hats for this Wild Ride Stars!!
Talk about an exhilarating book!! This book picks right up where we left off in Lost In You and if you haven’t read that book it’s a MUST READ because you’ll be lost if you don’t! Tucker has sacrificed himself for his brothers of Lost Boys and his life is about to change once again when he awakens from his coma and comes face to face with Roni Croft a woman he knows he should know but can’t figure it out. What he does know is that there’s a connection between them and he desperately wants to figure it out!
Well, he’s going to get his chance when people from their past suddenly show up even though they’re supposed to be dead and there’s a mystery to be solved that is both dangerous and consuming at the same time. What Tucker is also about to find out is that there’s more to his past than he could ever imagine especially when it comes to Roni and their past.
Ms. Blake keeps this story moving at a lightening pace which absolutely fits with the mysteries these two are trying to solve and run from the danger that seems to be almost catching up with them and no matter how hard they try, they can’t escape everything or everyone.
I also love how we got a lot of answers to questions that have been hanging around since the beginning of this series. More and more secrets are being revealed as memoires are coming back some of which are truly surprising in so many ways!!
There’s one more book in this series that I’m aware of and I have a feeling it’s all going to come full circle for all of these “lost boys.”
Whew… what a rollercoaster ride!
Pretty sure all my emotions arose within this novel and let’s just say; I cheered for my boy Tucker, I shed tears of sorrow, I gasped when the least expected happened and my heart soared when I literally though all hope was lost!
”I’ve missed you all along. I just couldn’t remember who I missed.
To me it seemed that Long Lost was longer than the other novels within the series, or maybe it’s been awhile from the last one, but needless to say I really liked the length. I am beyond happy that we have the ins and outs, the whys and woes of the McDonald drama, but we learn all about Tucker and the regaining of his memory. EPIC guys!!!
You know what else is EPIC?? The ending!! I am pretty sure my jaw hit the floor and this evil person whose been in all these books is back at it again… will Lexi ever just kill him off?!
The Details:

– Absolutely Addictive Reading
You know that feeling that you get when you read a good book and you just want to stay in it.
To live and breathe in that world, to stay with the characters and watch them as they go about their daily lives.
Yeah, that’s kind of the feeling that I’m having right now.
Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries (and the Forgotten) series along with all of her novellas and spin-offs that interact with one of her most popular series are so emotionally satisfying reads that I just can’t get enough.
These stories have action, adventure, mysteries and romance and each and every story is completely character driven.
One can easily emotionally connect with the characters and become immersed in their world and after that immersion, become completely invested in the characters lives, a person just doesn’t want to say goodbye to them – or at least, I don’t.
So this is kind of how I’m feeling after reading Long Lost.
Because I knew that I would want to stay immersed in the world that Lexi Blake has created for as long as I could, I read Lost in You, the third book in the Forgotten spin-off series before I read Long Lost and when I got to the end of that book, just as I had the first time I read the story, I had a couple of theories about what would occur and secrets that would come to light in Tucker’s book and I’m pleased to say that my theories were correct – I’m not however, going to tell you what they were because I don’t want to spoil the book for anyone.
Tucker is a character that I’ve adored since his first appearance, a character who I’ve been intrigued by and wanted to learn more about and who’s story I’ve eagerly anticipated.
This story was everything I could have hoped for.
It’s suspenseful, sweet and it’s ending will leave you breathless and wanting more.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
– Also, I can’t wait for that slimy little weasel Levi Green to get what’s coming to him in Ezra and Kim’s book, No Love Lost releasing 29 September 2020.
Thank you Lexi Blake for writing yet another kickass story that I adore!
Action packed, heart racing, sexy and exciting adventure filled with dangerous and engaging charters, witty banter, emotionally thrilling twists and undeniable passion. Was a excellent read from beginning to end, really loved this journey.
Roni (Veronica) cannot believe her eyes. The man she loved, the man who disappeared on her, is back. Only he’s not the same Steven he used to be. His memories are gone and he’s not the same. She’ll help Tucker, help him gain back his memories and get the answers he’s so desperately looking for. But there are still more secrets swirling around them. There’s danger, and they’re going to have to rely on each other if they want to make it out alive.
I’ve really been loving this spin-off of the Masters & Mercenaries series. Each story is action packed and full of revelations, and each couple’s love story is only heightened by the suspense surrounding them. I’ve been waiting for Steven (Tucker) to get his own story and I’m so glad I got to finally read it because it’s a doozy! Even better than the last one, Lost in You. If you like romantic suspense, second chance romances, or even just a great love story, I highly recommend you download a copy of Long Lost today.
Long Lost is the fourth book in Lexi Blake’s spin off series The Forgotten from her Masters and Mercenaries. I’ve been waiting for Tucker’s story for a while now. Without giving too much away, it didn’t disappoint.
I loved this book and Lexi Blake is one of my favorite authors because her books always have so many twists and turns. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS LOST BBOYS! Lexi Blake is a go-to for me and I love Masters and Mercenaries! Tucker and Roni are amazing! I loved everything about this story. As always this story is so well written and all of the characters are amazing! Five Stars!
This is the fourth book in the Masters and Mercenaries series and it is Tucker’s story. From the beginning, I could not put this book down. Tucker is one of six men that was rescued by McKay Taggert and are currently trying to figure out who they really are as they had their identities stolen when they were given experimental drugs as test specimens. The effects of the drugs on the men reacted differently and Tucker gets sensations that he may have been complicit in taking the memories of others before he fell prey to the trial himself. The longer one reads this story; it feels like a piece of one’s heart is being crushed but there is a light in the form a woman named Veronica aka Roni. Roni was participating in an internship for the company where Tucker, known as Steven then, worked as her supervisor. However, the chemistry between them was palpable and regardless of circumstance, they decided to give in to their attraction only to have him ripped from her arms. This is one storyline that flows like the rapids traveling down a river filled with intrigue, suspense, danger and twists and turns that will keep anyone on the edge of his or her seat. You cannot help being investing from the first page and as an added bonus, you get to see Ian Taggert and others from Ms. Blake’s other series as they Crossover into this book. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Lexi Blake is a genius when it comes to action and thrills in a romantic suspense story. Long Lost, book #4 in her Masters and Mercenaries: The Forgotten series sees Lost Boy Tucker finally remembering his past and finding all the answers he was seeking. He also finds his lost love, Veronica “Roni” Croft. Roni believed Tucker left her of his own volition years ago. It comes as a shock to her to find out he fell victim to Dr. McDonald’s machinations. I totally enjoyed this storyline and getting to see all my favorite characters from earlier stories. I look forward to what comes next!
Lexi Blake’s Masters & Mercenaries spin-off series,The Forgotten, is probably my favorite of all of her stories/series. And the main reason for my adoration is because she presents the past and the present of not only those individuals who lost themselves, their lives, and their identities due to other people’s machinations, but also those who loved the men who were lost – those who thought they were dead and gone, which meant they had to pick up the pieces and try to move forward with so many unanswered questions and wounds left festering.
As each Lost Boy’s story is told, discoveries are made, questions are answered, and lives lost are reclaimed, never fully, but at least in a way that they offer some kind of future instead of simply an unknown past.
It’s extremely difficult not to get caught up in these characters’ trials, in their search for who they were and who they could be, in the danger that continues to surround them, even though they can’t remember what happened to them due to their fragmented minds.
But where Lost Love veers, somewhat, from the previous books in the series is in the fact that Tucker’s role in the events that erased these mens’ identities and imprisoned them, in both the physical and mental sense, is unclear, which makes things so much worse for him, because his culpability in what went down isn’t cut and dry and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who can help him unlock those memories and confront the truth before not knowing destroys him.
Enter Veronica ‘Roni’ Croft
Roni’s link to Tucker seemed to happen in another lifetime because the man she knew as Dr. Steven Reasor is no longer, and in his place is a man who seems to feel and to know that he shares a connection with her but still has no recollection of who he was when he knew her or what the nature of their relationship and their work was.
Like all of the other stories in the series, Lexi Blake clearly illustrates the jagged and dangerous path that the hero and heroine have to take to get to the truth, and while they try to sort out everything, they’re also transforming, growing, and becoming a new version of themselves, which means that by the time the story is complete, the fragmented pieces that once described who Tucker and Roni were have been smoothed around the edges and put back together in a way that can withstand any new revelations discovered and any danger that still might come their way.
The multiple meanings of the title of Tucker and Roni’s story perfectly illustrate just how much these two have lost, not only when their lives were torn apart, but also in the sense that they’ve been searching for answers that they thought would always remain lost. And while there are still some obstacles to endure even at the end of the book, readers know that Tucker and Roni are no longer completely lost or alone, and that’s enough for them, at least for now.
4.5 Poison Apples
The enigma wrapped in mystery that is Tucker/Dr Razor has finally been solved!! This book was EVERYTHING I wanted and so much more!! Terrific job Lexi Blake!
