While Magda and Sam work on an addition to the chocolate cafe her cousin, Branston and Merle decide to add a western roadside cafe to the dud ranch. When a guest sees something funny happening near the site they report it. The gang discovers a skeleton! Upon learning it is Rula’s missing cousin the gang investigates. This is the beginning of several mysteries along with the discovery of a ghost town. This book was even better than the previous ones with lots of action, suspense, romance and drama. The best addition to this book was Auntie Alison’s arrival from Ireland! I highly recommend this book and this series!
In this story there are a group of friends who have abilities that can sense and one can even see spirits. This said, they encounter a spirit that has some unfinished business both here in the US and abroad. This book has mystery, romance, and some mystical elements. It is a very engaging story and it all ties together in the end. I recommend this book. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.

present effortlessly.
I volunteered to read Lonesome Spirits.
Thanks to the author for the opportunity.
My opinion is voluntary and my own.
A Kindle Unlimited Read!!!
This is the 4th in the Chocolate Magic cozy mystery series. In this one, the crew is expanding , both at the cafe and the ranch. When they try to find the best spot to put a new diner at the ranch, they discover a body. This leads to all kinds of interesting things including new ghosts. Don’t miss the awesome new addition to the series.
Sam, Magda and friends inadvertently resolve a missing persons case from their past, and connect with spirits of the Wild West to uncover a ghost town and other mysteries.
Friends, family, empathetic kitties and romance amid the mayhem.
Fun KU read!
Join Magda and Sam with their friends in Ireland. A western themed cafe and a ghost town discovery and solving an old murder with the help of some ghostly friends makes for a fun story to read. I received an ARC copy of this book and have given my honest & true review.
Olivia Swift spins another wonderful tale starring Magda, Sam and their colorful friends and family. Aunt Alison and Jezebelle join them from Ireland as Magda plans an addition to her cafe with a western theme. Merle and Branston also plan an addition to their ranch, a diner on the main road. The old west theme soon expands as a ghost town is discovered and the ghosts help solve a 10-year-old murder, putting the group in danger from the still-present killers. The masterful blend of new and old characters, psychic people and cats, and western ghosts make for a great read.
This is a wonderful, page turning story of Magda and Sam and their friends. I loved the psychic cats, the ghost cat and the paranormal activity. Oh, and all the talk of chocolate made me want some samples! I haven’t read the other books in this series but it was fantastic as a standalone! Since I enjoyed this one I will go back and read the others in this series.
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.

WHAT has happened in the past…that was never settled?!? Read & see…as clues…a skeleton…helpful ghosts…and a 10 year old unsolved murder work up a powerful hunger for answers and lots…and LOTS…of Chocolate!!! Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book
Put together cats that give you messages before they happen, friends who have abilities, and what day is normal?
Someone sees a woman gardening where a diner wants to go, but why is she so sad. What happens when they go to ask her? Can’t say more because it will give the book away. Can say they get help from an unexpected source.
Great fun. Fast easy to read cozy mystery. Can be read by itself as each mystery in the series is its own. You will want to go back and read the others because they are fun but will give you more into the characters.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Lonesome Spirits is the latest book in the Chocolate Magic Cozy Mystery series. I just love the recurring characters created by Ms. Swift. To me they are the highlights of her books. They never disappoint me. In this well written latest mystery, these characters, the cats and the ghosts once again see justice prevail. I could not put this book down!
The author has given us a wonderful group of characters. These friends have combined their skills to form an exciting team. While searching for a ghost town, they find a buried body. Now they all need to work together to find out who killed the poor woman.
Do you like psychic cats who know something before their humans do and try and leave them messages by what they do? How about people who can see ghosts? If you can answer yes to these two questions then you will enjoy this tale of mystery (no pun intended).
This is a continuing series but each book stands on its own so not knowing what adventures our
players have had previously won’t affect your enjoyment of this book.
I recommend this book to all readers especially those whose time constraints may only allow them to read a shorter book.
This series becomes more complex with each new book. Magic and murder abound when Merle plans to build a diner near the ranch. The writing is fresh and skillful. The plot is tight and multi-layered and filled with believable characters. It was a delightful read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
This series involves a group of characters, most of whom have some sort of psychic ability. Magda runs a chocolate shop with a ghost cat. Branston and Merle see a ghost out on their ranch and group joins to explore the possibility of a ghost town. When a skeleton is found, the puzzlement abounds. Much is involved in this story. I love the characters and the story line is solid.
