USA Today & Amazon Top Ten best-selling author Harloe Rae delivers an emotional enemies-to-lovers romance where a sassy single mom and a reclusive mechanic battle it out with their hearts on the line. This swoony standalone novel is sure to give you all the feels!“Everyone deserves a chance to be rescued.”That’s the mantra I’m repeating when a well-equipped biker pulls over to save me. One … biker pulls over to save me. One glance at the scowl Crawford Doxe is wearing proves he isn’t impressed with the task. My efforts to change his mind deflate faster than the shredded tire at our feet. But disgruntled or not, my so-called hero still agrees to fix my flat.
I don’t expect to see Crawford again, but he’s suddenly very visible in our small town. Avoiding him would be my preference. That’s not how this story goes. For whatever reason, my daughter finds an ally in the broody mechanic. Denying her is something I do my best to avoid. I can only hope Crawford’s shine wears off before he tarnishes what little trust still exists.
As if the odds are ever on my side.
Commitments are a foreign concept to him. He doesn’t make any promises to try. That should’ve been enough for me to steer clear. It most certainly isn’t.
What follows can only be described as a disastrous clash of epic proportions.
But one indisputable fact remains. That lone soul has no plans of opening his heart.

What an absolutely heartbreaking, earth shattering, adorable, rocky path to love that just goes to show that what may not look fixable, is actually someone or someones looking for love….gahhhhh, this book has all the feels. Loved it!!
Another amazing book by Harloe Rae.
Loner” is Harloe’s new book that will be released on
June 11th.
This book sucks you in from the first page, and you won’t want to put it down.
Crawford Is a quite loner type. He likes to keep to himself. Ride his motorcycle , and work on them in his shop.
Keegan and her daughter Millie are starting a new life in a small town, Keegan is determined to be strong and independent and be the best mom she can be.
They both have a troubling past. That keeps them from finding love.
These two characters are just what each other needs. Trust, love and family and healing. It’s nice to see there friendship grow and become more. And little Millie who is 7, is so adorable.
Harloe takes us on an emotional ride with this story.
She did a great job with these characters and bringing them there HEA. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next :).
Loner was an exceptional book. Harloe did a fantastic job writing this book. This is an enemies to lovers book and it piqued my interest throughout.
Loner takes place in Silo Springs with the main characters being Crawford (Ford) and Keegan. If you have read the previous 2 books, you will recognize some of the characters that make guest appearances.
Keegan and her daughter Millie move to Silo Springs to live with her best friend. She is not looking to meet anyone because after the her last bad relationship and she just wants to focus on Millie.
Ford grew up in Silo Springs and is a bit of a loner. He has a past with his family and chooses to be alone and avoid the public when he can. He deals with the customers at his shop but that’s it. However, he went through a whirlwind of emotions when his path crossed with Keegan.
The chemistry between these two was hot. This book had me on emotional rollercoaster. I went from laughing at them to crying for them. Ford had alot of old issues that he needed to sort out before he could have any kind of a good life. Loner showed that no matter how messed up your life may be you do deserve love and happiness. I received this book as an ARC copy and I am leaving my honest review.
I thought that this was a beautiful romance but also powerful one. I found it exceptionally easy to get pulled into this story. Not because it is well written (although it is) but because I felt was relatable on an almost elemental level. I think almost any reader, if they are brutally honest with themselves has that hidden and desperately tried to be ignored or avoided button, that when it is touched on makes us feel bad about ourselves. It could be a mistake you’ve made, a regret you live with, someone who gets their joy from stealing yours or even our own internal voice that does its very best to feed your own insecurities and fears. This situation takes center stage in Keegan and Ford’s book and it affects both of them. I just loved these two so much and do not even get me started on the awesome cuteness that was scene-stealer Millie!! Trust me when I say that this trio will sneak right into your heart and take up residence there. There are many rough patches to overcome, a few truly laugh out loud moments, some heartache and tears, and more than enough heart melting scenes and steamy encounters to keep you swooning and in need of a refreshing beverage. This totally epic romance will give you a major case of “The Feels”. This is my sincere, review that I am posting of my own accord.
This book was amazing! I loved every bit of this book. The chemistry of the characters is off the charts. Crawford is so swoon worthy Keegan is a strong woman. Millie has to be the sweetest character I have encountered. This book quickly became one of my favorite reads. The cameos in this book is a wonderful surprise. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
This book is absolutely amazing to read. We are back in Silo Springs to have the story of Keegan and Ford.
Keegan has had a tough life with her parents passing at age 18 and becoming a single parent at 19. After another bad relationship she packs herself and her daughter Millie and heads to Silo. There with the help of her bestie Josie and the awesome town she finds a home, a job as a graphic designer and friends.
She also happens to be rescued twice for the damaged white night and town loner Ford. He lives alone by choice working on motorcycles in his sanctuary with his dog Patch. Damaged by an emotionally abusive father and the later abandonment of his brother he is closed off. Keegan and Millie spark a desire to change. He takes two steps forward and three back for a while with his guarded ways.
These three form a bond and love. It is tested by his fathers mind games.
To say that I didn’t absolutely love these characters is an understatement. Watching Keegan be such a great
Mother and her friendships.
I loved how hard Ford worked to overcome his demons and be the man he was so capable of. This book was wonderful with great feels and I enjoyed seeing previous characters and couples.
I am volunteering to leave a review for this book.
First off if you haven’t read the other Silo Springs books you are missing out! I am not even sure where to start this review. I loved this book! Ford is a broody motorcycle mechanic with an verbally abusive father. He likes his solitude and doesn’t want anyone around to mess with his quiet.
Keegan is a single mom to Millie. After spending the last year in a relationship that was lacking, Keegan decides to start over and takes Millie to Silo Springs to be close to her college best friend. Keegan and Ford have a couple run-ins where Ford and Millie end up forming a bond. Millie is a very shy and quiet child that gets a lot of unwanted attention because she doesn’t talk to people. She and Ford get each other. Keegan is very surprised her daughter has taken a liking to the big broody biker. She is not looking to trust again any time soon, and Ford has so many family issues he is holding on to, can they get over their damaged pasts to make a better future? Amazing chemistry between Keegan and Ford. Ford is just *Swoon!*. Ford and Keegan are now my favorite Silo Springs couple. (Sorry Grady and Sutton!). Harloe Rae did an amazing job on the story! Definitely recommend!
I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A great enemies to lovers story!
I’m a huge fan of Harloe, and I love how she takes these grumpy men who are in need of kindness and love and makes them realize that what they had been fighting against for so long is what they always wanted. That is Ford to a T! In a world full of bully romances and toxic men (Which I can admit I enjoy those at times) it’s so refreshing to read about a good, albeit broken man with such a pure heart.
Keegan is a single mom who has been wronged by men one too many times. After another failed relationship, she moves her and her daughter Millie to Silo Springs. There she has an amazing friend, a kickass job and house, and really seems to have finally found her groove. Her bestie, JoJo, (who is hilarious and I need her story right now, especially since we all KNOW who her love is!!) Wants Keegan to let loose, have a wild night, and maybe even find a man to clear out her ‘cobwebs.’ The only person that comes to mind is the surly mechanic in leather with the less than stellar attitude, but she can’t seem to stop imagining him. After her girls night ends up with her falling in bed with Ford (and seriously, how sexy is this book? Their angry sex was fucking amazing!.) After a rocky morning after, these two form a friendship that evolves into a friends with benefits situation, and we know how thay always plays out!
My absolute favorite part of this book was the relationship between Ford and Millie. She was such a quite, intuitive girl who just didn’t fit in with the other kids and didn’t seem to like people that much, but almost immediately took a liking to Ford. Their bond was downright adorable, and I loved how well they understood each other. He really was this little girls hero in every way!
The only thing that I had an issue with was that I never felt the emotional connection between Keegan and Ford. They had sexual attraction in spades, and maybe it’s because they did the FWB scenario for too long, but I just never felt their love for one another.
Overall this was a really good book! It was such a fun, easy and hot read. I always adore everything this author writes and I can’t wait for her best book!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
The fire between Keegan and Crawford is instant and all consuming! They don’t even know what to with their consuming need for each other and my gosh it leads to some heated moments!
What is evident from the start is that these two have an undeniable pull and the more the resist the stronger they feel! When they finally cave to desire it’s a beautiful mix of need, desire and it sets the pages on fire!
What really stood out to me was how strong and independent Kee was! She is such an amazing character but through that she didn’t ever make Crawford feel less than! She cherished him for who he is she just wanted him to see it too! For all his assholery Crawford has got to be the biggest softy and has the kindest heart! I loved each interaction with Millie! I couldn’t get enough!
Everything you need in romance is right here!!
I’m left a smitten ball of blubbering emotions as Loner by Harloe Rae just chewed me up and spat me out! This heartthrob is a prime example of why I love romance.
There are so many emotions running through me upon finishing this book. Heck it didn’t take long into the beginning for me to love it. Swoony, seductive and loads of anticipation; we’re met with strong minded heroines, broody alphas and little sweet extras which is all you need to want to devour this baby. I look forward to more mesmerising reads in the near future.
This comes highly recommended.
Loner was a sweet and sexy second chance romance. Both Crawford and Keegan have been left feeling abandoned and alone in the world. Keegan is a single mom of a beautiful, smart and sassy little girl, Millie. She focuses on her daughters health and well being while building a life for her after moving to get a fresh start. At a young age, Crawford realizes the only person he can rely on his himself. He does his best to stay away from others and spends his time working in his shop and exploring the woods with his dog, Patch. When he comes across Keegan and her daughter stranded on the side of the road, he feels an instant connection and the need to protect. Building a friendship while spending time exploring with Keegan’s daughter Millie, they both realize that maybe they have been missing out on something great. When Crawford’s demons come back to drag him down, he is left questioning if he is worth Keegan and Millie’s love.

I was so excited to read this book and Harloe Rae did not disappoint! Small town, broody hero, single mom, adorable kiddo…everything I love in a small-town romance!! Keegan moves to town for a fresh start with her daughter Millie and meets Ford, the rude, closed off, loner mechanic. He’s mean and you want to hate him but you just know there’s a reason his walls are up and he’s so closed off. Keegan and Ford have an instant attraction despite their first rude encounter and when their chemistry ignites, it’s FIRE!! Slowly Ford starts to soften but Keegan is hesitant to let him in. Keegan is cautious to open her heart and wants to protect Millie, of course. Millie absolutely stoke the show, she is adorable and sweet and has a soft spot for Ford which he reciprocates.u2063u2063

I liked that there wasn’t any unnecessary drama or a super predictable conflict. Just these two figuring out if they want to be together for real or just enjoy the friends with benefits situation. I admit the friends with benefits storyline isn’t my favorite but Harloe writes the most lovable characters you can’t help but root for them. I loved how Decker and Delaney made appearances, I adored those two in “Keeper.” I absolutely loved this story and 100% recommend! u2063u2063u2063

There is nothing I love more then Harloe’s writing style!
One of my favourite things about harloe’s books are the reoccurring characters.
Sometimes the quiet ones are the best ones.
In loner we meet single independent mom Keegan, a loner mechanic Ford and sweet little Millie who brings the adults together.
The sweet love Millie has for Her new best friend Ford melts my heart.
No matter when Keegan needs him Ford is always there to rescue her.
I am a pretty die-hard Harloe Rae fan and she did NOT disappoint with this gorgeous love story between Ford and Keagan. The dynamic between the two and the addition of Keagan’s daughter, Millie, was so heartfelt and palpable that I often found myself choking up. The ending is also absolutely beautiful!
I really enjoyed this book so much-
Enemies to Lovers romance he is a loner and she is a single mom always choosing the wrong guy.
I loved their banter and the little girl so much.
I must read more Harloe Rae books now.
I honestly stopped reading this a few times, because I was so sad for Crawford after his Father spoke to him the way he did, and the way he and Keegan launched into each other after their night dancing.
I promise every single bit of it was worth it for watching Ford take his own back against his Dad, and the changes he made for not just Keegan, and Millie, but mostly for himself.
The last three pages made me a Harloe Rae convert for life. Y’all, quite possibly the three most romantic pages I’ve read in years, especially his question for Millie, just so, SO SWEET!!
Ford is a swoon worthy white knight with a gentle soul beneath his armored exterior
Single mom Keegan isn’t a damsel in distress and can save herself. At least most of the time.
When a stranger appears as a swoon worthy white knight riding astride a shiny motorcycle in the darkness of night, Keegan let’s down her guard and asks for help from the handsome stranger – only to have her head bitten off by the broody, arrogant jerk. So much for love at first sight. However, her daughter, Millie, is smitten with Ford. She feels that he understands why she is the way she is and accepts her whole heartedly. He sees the younger version of himself in Millie. Ford has a loving, gentle soul beneath his broody, quiet exterior. After being a loner for so long, Ford feels the pull to surround himself with Keegan & Millie. When cruel words are spewed at Ford reminding him of his reasons for isolation, will he abandon all hope of a future with Keegan & Millie? Is their love strong enough to point this loner to his true home?
Aside from this one, I’ve read two other Harloe Rae’s books- Breaker and Keeper. The couples from these books make very short appearances in this Loner, but it isn’t necessary (at all!) to read Breaker and Keeper to enjoy this one, although I highly recommend doing so simply because I loved both books!
Anyway, I noticed a pattern in the flow of the story in those two books that isn’t in this one, and I like this one so much better! I won’t go into detail as to why, though, so I don’t end up spoiling the plot. Differences aside, this one is as beautifully written as the others, and just as hard to put down!
Ford and Keegan’s story isn’t just about Ford and Keegan; it’s also about Keegan’s little girl, Millie, who happens to have stolen the show! She somehow smoothens Ford’s rough edges.
Loner is a small-town, enemies-to-lovers contemporary single-mom romance written in dual first-person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I can’t believe I actually waited this long to read this book! I didn’t want to start it because I knew as soon I read the first page I would need to finished the whole book within one sitting because I loved it so much and that is exactly what happened! Harloe Rae has done it again with Crawford and Keegan!! I love all of Harloe’s book and this book didn’t disappoint. u2063
u2063
When we first meet Keegan in the first chapter and she is going through a lot and looking to start over with her daughter I didn’t think they would end in Silo Springs (if you have read Breaker or Keeper then you know where I’m talking about and if you haven’t read these you definitely should). As the book goes on and Keegan and Crawford meet each other they definitely both have a lot of things to work through because they can make a relationship work and unfortunately they find that out the hard way! u2063
u2063
Once Crawford gets his stuff together and actually tries to be with Keegan you know that all that hard work to get to where he is paid off! You definitely don’t want to miss all the cute moments in between especially with Peep!! u2063

Thank you Harloe Rae for creating another story I can get lost in!! Can’t wait to see what is next!! u2063
