USA Today & Amazon Top Ten best-selling author Harloe Rae delivers an emotional enemies-to-lovers romance where a sassy single mom and a reclusive mechanic battle it out with their hearts on the line. This swoony standalone novel is sure to give you all the feels!“Everyone deserves a chance to be rescued.”That’s the mantra I’m repeating when a well-equipped biker pulls over to save me. One … biker pulls over to save me. One glance at the scowl Crawford Doxe is wearing proves he isn’t impressed with the task. My efforts to change his mind deflate faster than the shredded tire at our feet. But disgruntled or not, my so-called hero still agrees to fix my flat.
I don’t expect to see Crawford again, but he’s suddenly very visible in our small town. Avoiding him would be my preference. That’s not how this story goes. For whatever reason, my daughter finds an ally in the broody mechanic. Denying her is something I do my best to avoid. I can only hope Crawford’s shine wears off before he tarnishes what little trust still exists.
As if the odds are ever on my side.
Commitments are a foreign concept to him. He doesn’t make any promises to try. That should’ve been enough for me to steer clear. It most certainly isn’t.
What follows can only be described as a disastrous clash of epic proportions.
But one indisputable fact remains. That lone soul has no plans of opening his heart.

“Not all white knights ride in on a horse.” New from Harloe Rae!
Harloe Rae delivered such a sweet romance read. And she has managed to bring such happy and joyous tears to my eyes in the final pages. Keegan and Ford with the added bonus of Millie had me hook, line and sinker. The chemistry between Ford and Keegan is off the charts and Millie brings such a feel good factor to this romance.
Ahhhh I love Ford so much! The chemistry between him and Keegan is ! A must read from Harloe Rae.
Harloe Rae takes us back to the small town of Silo Springs in “Loner.” If you haven’t gotten a chance to get acquainted with the broody men of this thriving town, then this is your perfect time to get to know our lone knight. Crawford Doxe was happy living his life as a loner until he put his sight on the most beautiful set of green eyes that declared him a goner.
Keegan Daniels is ready to start fresh in the town of Silo Springs with her beautiful clever daughter Millie as they both embark in a new beginning. The last thing Keegan expected was to be rescued by a dark knight in a bike. Yet, Ford seems to be showing up in the most unexpected crucial times. When her 7 year old daughter befriends the reclusive town mechanic. Keegan decides it’s best to keep him at arm’s length. Especially, since this cold, detachable broody beast loves to stir the pot when she is near. However, after spending the best reckless night ‘8 inches deep’ (lip bite) getting to know each other. Maybe it’s time to take this new booming friendship to the next level…one that includes benefits.
I had the best time getting to know Keegan, Millie and Ford as they venture into the possibility of more. It wasn’t hard to fall for this strong-willed woman and her precious daughter as they both conquer the heart of this man who has pledged to spend life alone. Getting cameos from permanent residences in the mix was definitely another highlight of the stay.
This ‘enemies to lovers’ was another top read. Harloe Rae flawlessly keeps you rooted to the pages as you visit Silo Springs. This small town has become a favorite spot with all the lonesome men who have won me over with their carrying ways. Making roots in a small town guarantees you a for sure thing…they know the promise of forever.
**‘Loner’ is a stand-alone. If your heart is in need of a “Healing Hug” make sure you get to know Decker and Delaney in ‘Keeper’. As they both find “Wisdom of Worth” towards a HEA or Grady and Sutton and their “Happy Something” in ‘Breaker.’
***I received an ARC through Candi Kane PR for a honest review
I am already a fan of Harloe Rae’s books, and this one is certainly no exception. I loved Ford (Crawford,) Keegan and Millie. Ford comes across as a rude, sometimes obnoxious, mysterious and misunderstood loner, who after meeting a woman and her daughter on the side of the road, decides that maybe he doesn’t want to spend all of his time alone anymore. Keegan is a strong, independent single mum, who only wants what is best for her daughter, no matter the cost to herself. The chemistry between Ford & Keegan was instant and apparent from the moment they met. The banter between them was hilarious. The friendship between Ford & Millie was so special and sweet. This book had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I highly recommend this as a must read.
My first book by this author and I loved it, the story, the characters and the writing.
Harloe always writes such page turning books. This one is no exception. Ford, Keegan and Millie have a lovely story that you need to buy this book and read it!
Literally swooned the whole time because watching Ford with lil Millie had my ovaries exploding constantly. We love a man whose good with children. And I loved that despite the good relationship with Millie, Ford was still bickering with Keegan the whole time. It’s enemies to lovers meets single parent romance, and it’s to die for!
Loved every word on every page. Millie aka “Peep” might have stolen my from the first time she talked to Crawford like it was the easiest thing in the world when we knew that she was beyond shy and talking to anyone was hard.
The only complaint I have is I want more! I loved that there was an epilogue so we a glimpse of the future. I could read an entire series about Crawford and Keegan.
I love this world. Ford really stepped up and went full on Romance. They had crazy chemistry and I hated that Keegan and Millie suffered a crack in their heart but Ford made it so much better. The *thing* he did with both was so sweet I got a cavity. I love all the characters that made an appearance from previous books. Loved it.
I’ve been waiting to read Loner for a fair bit. I love a good Harloe Rae romance and this one is right up there with the rest!
I could feel the tension in my chest! I could feel the character’s anxiety and nerves just through words on a page.
I love a heroine that takes no crap and a hero with a soft spot for children. Top that off with a kid that could melt even the hardest of hearts and you’ve got a page turner!
I connected with these characters more than most. I’m a mother, but I also love solitude. Maybe that’s why I felt their emotions so well.
There were also so great lines such as:
“…it’s hotter than a jalapeño mating day it’s a chili pepper…”
And
“…your type is more common than ketchup on the dinner table.”
I love that stuff!

Harloe has crafted a wonderful Enemies to Lovers small town romance that will give you all the feels and more. This delightful feel good romance is low on the angst and gives you just the right amount of off the charts tension to have you furiously swiping the pages to find out what’s going to happen next.

Crawford (Ford) is the town recluse finding comfort in solitude. He owns an auto shop outside of town that is just far enough away from everyone that he only needs to see people when they come to him. Ford definitely reminded me of Trey from Gent with his gruff attitude and need to be left alone. But his surly demeanor is no match for the beautiful little girl Millie who also doesn’t really like talking to people and is very much a quite child. I loved the connection that Ford and Millie have it was the sweetest thing to watch them together knowing that they have this same inclination and have found someone who intrinsically understands their need to not talk. Ford is abrasive and aloof but whenever he’s around Millie they have their own language and it will pull at all of your heartstrings and leave your ovaries in overdrive with the sweetness of it. This link is ultimately what get’s Keegan she tries to not fall under his spell but she’s no match for them.
’ , ’ .
Keegan has come to town in order for her to escape her poor choices in men. Because of this she has built walls around her heart to make sure that no man hurts her or Millie again. I loved the fierce momma bear who is just trying to do the right thing but ultimately doesn’t know what that is because her daughter just doesn’t want to talk to people. You can see that it frustrates her a little that her daughter so easily talks to Ford and has this relationship with him that’s completely separate from her. But you can see that she also loves that her daughter finally has someone she can be herself with, without any judgements. And it’s their connection that helps to breakdown her walls and let Ford in. I loved watching their relationship grow and become so much more than either anticipated but that they both so desperately needed to help repair their hearts.
’ . ’ , .
Harloe is queen of writing broken bad boys with wounded souls and Ford is no different. This book is guaranteed to tear straight through your heart leaving you desperate for more. I loved Ford and his surly attitude meant to deflect and send people on there way and the little girl and her mother who ultimately broke down every wall he had and helped to mend his heart!!
Harloe Rae gives us another spectacularly sweet and sexy small town romance. Enemies to lovers, Crawford ‘Ford’ Doxe and Keegan Daniels light up the pages with their banter and sassy sniping at one another.
At first, these two are like oil and water—they just don’t mix. Arguments and harsh words pass frequently between them. But for Millie, Keegan’s daughter, the two form a sort of truce, as the shy little girl has taken a liking to Ford.
After spending time together, Keegan and Ford’s relationship changes from tenuous friendship to having feelings for each other. But can they get past Keegan’s jaded past with men and Ford’s self-imposed loner status and feelings of inadequacy to find something amazing neither was looking for?
Gaaaa y’all where do I even begin?!
I don’t know that I’m ready to write this review. Hang on let’s clear up the water works. Okay ready in 5 4 3 2 1……
You guys I’ve swooned but ughhh these characters absolutely wrecked me (in the best of ways)!! Harloe is hands down one of my absolute favorite authors and yet again she did not disappoint! Every single one of her books is sure to suck you in and have you flipping through the pages faster than you thought possible! Hands down another 5 book by Harloe!! I won’t post any spoilers because I want you to be able to enjoy every single word you’ll take in! Just be ready to swoon so hard, laugh out loud and shed some tears! One helluva HEA you’re sure to fall in love with Ford Kee and Millie I promise!
Comment
Y’all, this book is AMAZEBALLS! Like seriously! Harloe Rae just keeps outdoing herself with the swoon-worthy epic romances! I loved Ford and Keegan! This book gave me all the feels!
First off, I’m legit in love with the cover, then throw a single mom trope in, one of my all-time favorite tropes, I’m definitely already on board.
I’m a huge Harloe Rae fan, so I may be totally biased, but I feel like Harloe can do no wrong in a book. Her hero’s are always swoon-worthy, her heroine’s always strong, and the romance is always worth rooting for, and this book is exactly that.
I loved the hero. He is so much like Grady, who is one of my favorite heros of Harloe’s, and then he is a mechanic like my other love, Trey. He wasn’t a manwhore (bring on all the stars), he had almost an innocent-like aura surrounding him, where he just wants to be wanted and loved, but he also doesn’t like people, can he get more perfect? Why yes, yes he can. Him and Millie are adorable together, and I love how he genuinely liked to spend time with her. He is such a great guy. That is another thing I love about Harloe’s writing, they’re ALWAYS genuinely good guys. Yes, sometimes they can be jerks, but they always redeem themselves, they just need the love of their lives to help them bring their walls down.
Don’t get me wrong I love toxic men in books as much as the next person but there is something so refreshing about reading a hero that you can fully trust and depend on, now THAT is a real hero. And how he steps up to the plate for Millie, is the sweetest thing ever.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It’s super cute light-hearted romance, with a side of sexy and fun. It’s a great palette cleanser right now for me when all of the men in my book life are toxic af, and I needed a refresher that not all hero’s are like that, now can we just please have Josey’s story!
Safety: No OW/OM drama (the book can take my money for that reason alone ), completely safe.
Oh my goodness!!!
I am in L O V E with Ford!!! Crawford. *Insert Swoon*
He makes an awesome book boyfriend to add to my collection! He’s the mysterious/deeply understood possible bad boy in this world.
Ford meets Keegan when she is on the side of the road with a flat tire. He’s her knight in white. Boom! Instant attraction. Then her sweet daughter gets lost and he finds her. What’s not to like about Ford? Well, he is kinda rude at times.
Keegan is a single mother who is trying to make the right decisions for her and her daughter. Is Ford the right decision for them??? Hmmm… her daughter sure seems to like him….
No worries, this one does have a HEA!
I highly suggest you read this one. I sure loved it!
I loved the inclusion of the little girl in the story. Her opinion about interacting with people is exactly how i feel.
Another great story from Silo Springs. Ford and Keegan have a different beginning to their relationship. They are mainly enemies from the get go, by Millie is the negotiator to get them together. I love the three of them as a little family. Going from. Loner into a relationship, Ford has lessons to learn, but he has his swoon factor down. Keegan has had her share of bad love, and finally gets the love she deserves. Such a great story to see how this all happens.
You guys don’t know how long I’ve been waiting for this book. Right when Harloe said she’s writing her new book, I already know I’m going to love it! Lol Small town, broody hero, single mother, SIGN ME UP! I couldn’t put the book down at all. It sucked me in, and it was so perfect. I was so sad when it was the last page! Lol It has to be my favorite from Harloe!u2063

Ford and Keegan’s chemistry was consuming. Both of them come with their own baggage. Ford was used to being by himself. When they finally gave into the desires for each other, wow! It was steamy! The more he spends time with Keegan and Millie, he just can’t help but wanting to be around them more. Millie is such a sweetie pie. You guys will totally love this family!!! Totally recommended!!!u2063
