Elementary school teacher Blythe Williams is in need of an adventure. Since a messy break-up six months ago, she hasn’t had the time or the will to date again. So, when a girl’s week at a gulf coast resort turns into a broken down car in small town Texas she wasn’t expecting to find her perfect cowboy.Hunter Cole isn’t the typical Fort Mavis cowboy. The ex- bronc rider has tall, dark, and … and ruggedly handsome down pat. But the Cole family comes with its share of Texas-sized family drama he’d rather leave behind.

Part of the Lone Star Burn Universe series a well written story that held my interest until the last page. This is Elementary school teacher Blythe Williams and Fort Mavis cowboy Hunter Cole’s story. I enjoyed reading this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a very different look at life for a former rodeo cowboy now living on a ranch. But he’s also full of resentment and anger towards his family. But when he meets a girl who’s car has broken down and is now stranded, life gradually changes for him, and his family. Of course people don’t like change so they fight it tooth and nail. But sometimes change can reap more benefits than anyone could possibly imagine.

I enjoyed this book. Blythe was in the wrong place at the right time and a comedy of errors put her face to face with a real cowboy. But he wasn’t wearing plaid or a Stetson. Fun, emotional and an enjoyable book.
So good!
This story is sweet and tender and fun.
I love Blythe. She is strong and caring. Even though she was reeling from a resent break up she was able to see Hunter was who she needed.
Hunter’s Grandpa is a strong character. He has been the strength of the family for years. He and Hunter share a love for their home and Hunter’s Grandma.
I like the scenes at the rodeo. Blythe is able to get Hunter to open up about his family troubles. The scenes at the hospital are good too.
I’m so glad I read this book. I have found a new author to follow.
A quick, cowboy romance.
Blythe is just trying to get away from her mess of a life when her car breaks down along a country road. She finally gives up waiting for a tow truck and starts walking back to the last building she saw. The building that happens to belong to the Cole family and Hunter is there but he wouldn’t mind being anywhere else. What happens next is a miscommunication and the begin of a romance that is what each of them needs. For things to work out between them, they both have to deal with their pasts to be able to move on. The question is whether either one is willing to or not. This is an angsty romance but it finally ends well.

Really enjoyed the story so much I just couldn’t put it down. Blythe is spunky and Hunter is the strong, silent type. What a combination!
Blythe was on her way to Galveston for a resort vacation when her car broke down. Now she’s stuck in the middle of nowhere, a/k/a Fort Mavis. Her car disappears, and Hunter (a/k/a hot cowboy) lets her stay in his spare bedroom until she can get her car issues sorted out. She and Hunter have a good time, both in the sack and out of it. She pushes him on family issues, even as she’s promised to stay out. When her ex-fiance shows up, there’s additional drama, but they figure out how to work past that toward their happy ending. This was a really nice story. Both Blythe and Hunter had preconceived notions about what they thought the other one wanted, but they were both strong characters in their own way.

On the way to California…
Strange things can happen on the way to a spring break vacation like meeting a hunky cowboy. Now that would top the list for me I must say. That is what happens to Blythe in this sometimes funny, sometimes touching, but mostly all sweet love story. Hunter a former rodeo cowboy is Blythe knight in shining armor he comes to her rescue when her car breaks down. The author has written a book that will show how all the characters will deal with some interesting twists. I thought the book was very good and it was entertaining I recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
