Stetson is the first book I’ve read by this author. I enjoy discovering new authors, and Danielle Norman is an author I will definitely follow as this 5 star read kept me gripped throughout. There’s lots of heat with some sexual tension as we see London and Braden unable to stay away from each other. London and her sisters are strong female characters who prove that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to. There’s some drama thrown into the mix as London and her sisters deal with someone who is determined to take over running the ranch that belonged to their father. This book has it all, and I’ll be checking out the other books in the series to follow the stories of Paris and Holland, London’s younger sisters.
I am so excited for this new series being introduced by Danielle Norman. Stetson is book one in the Iron Horse series. It features the Kelly sisters and the ranch they run. I’m this book we meet London, who runs the dad to day on the ranch. Then we meet Braden McManus, a Sheriff’s deputy. These two have known each other since middle school and when they are together sparks ingnite. But when strange things start happening on the ranch Braden struggles to protect the woman he loves and find the culprit.
I’m really excited about this new series and can’t wait to read about it.
Sheriff Braden McManus, has been crushing on London since elementary school. Friends until they got into high school. Then they went there different ways.
Braden never told London how much he cared about her then.
Became a cop & moved. Now Braden is back in town as the Sherriff. He would love the opportunity to get London’s attention.
Being a town in good old Texas, where the good old boys are… Ryan the foreman of the ranch of 17 yrs. doesn’t feel that woman should be barefoot & pregnant, Let alone run a ranch. Ryan has mention on several occasions that London’s father wanted him to have the ranch. The added bonus of having London all to himself as his woman!
Please!! Dad didn’t leave the ranch to him in his will. Dad knew how much his daughters each loved an area of the ranch. Within those areas each sister would be responsible for taking care of them.
London is mending a broken heart. The death of Her father. She & her sisters, Paris & Holland now are fully responsible for taken charge of their ranch.
London needs to drink her sorrows away. Just for little while before she gets back to the responsibilities of the ranch. Chatting with her best friend Marcus guess who walks in the door.? Sheriff Braden McManus. Which could be the biggest mistake or the best thing that has ever happened to London.
Especially now since someone is trying to sabotage the ranch.
After a fire starts on the far end of the Kelly Ranch. Sheriff is called in on the scene. London is caught up with her land being on fire. Not the fact that her one night stand is here to get to the bottom of this fire. Braden insistence are that this fire wasn’t an accident and maybe the Kelly sister are in danger. He will watch London from a distance if need be to keep her safe.
Read how the sweet romance blossoms or can disintegrate while continued accidents, & a death with their horse take the front seat over love, The author has provides suspense, drama, deceit & a few love scenes. How a high school crutch becomes protection for true love.
good read, good story line
When a person has had 4 beers and is too impacted to drive themselves home then they are too impacted to given consent. Sex with them is RAPE! This author attempts to whitewash it later in the book. Nope. It is RAPE. There is several steamy sex scenes in the middle and another violent rape at the near end, same woman different man.
Sadly, a lot of the rest of the story is interesting. Not sure about the background on the bad guy, but willing to accept his being a bad guy. But, I could not get past the original date rape .
A wonderful beginning to what promises to be an entertaining series. London’s father has passed away leaving the ranch to his 3 daughters. Someone is out to change all that and the local law enforcement officer, Braden, steps in to investigate and help. I love how the 3 sisters are all written as strong independent females, each with their own personality and specialty. I look forward to continuing this series.
Good story. Way too much explicite sex.
I enjoyed this story. An interesting storyline and just enough suspense to keep me entertained until the end.
A good afternoon read,
Great read!
loved it
Good interaction between characters. Quick easy read.
I couldn’t finish it. The “F” word was used excessively. My mom would have soaped my mouth if I had the potty mouth London has. Also, she was not a very likeable character. I didn’t like her going to the bar, getting drunk and jumping into bed.
I was hooked on trying to figure out the ending. The truth was surprising. Enjoyed the read.
It was just ok. Her dad leaves the ranch to her and her two sisters. Someone starts damaging the ranch and horses and she is having problems with the foreman. She hooks up with the sheriff who she thought was unattainable in HS. It seems this story has been done often
The dialogue between the characters made this book. It was interesting, unexpected in parts and sometimes witty. It also added a sense of realism. Enjoyable.
The only thing fancy about London is her name. Her life is privileged, but she is no spoiled princess. When her father dies and leaves her head of the family and running the family’s cattle empire, She wants to prove everyone wrong. Most think she is just a girl in a man’s world, but she is tougher than they imagine. The last person she needs help from is the sexy town deputy sheriff, Braden. He may want more than a one-night stand, but she has a ranch to run. – I liked London and her sisters, Paris and Holland. They were feisty, hard workers, and caring. Braden was also a good character, along with the girls’ friends. This is an interesting story, good read.
Love this series
I have read some of the books from the other series and have loved them all. They are a great combination of strong women and the men that love them for it. Can’t wait to see what happens to the Kelly sisters and the Iron Horse Ranch.
I love a good take charge chick…loved everything about this story. Awesome
London & her sisters have just lost the only parent they’ve ever really known. Now with their father gone they must learn to run the ranch on their own. Unfortunately for London the foreman is under the impression that with her father gone it’s time for him to take over since there is no way that the women could run a ranch. At the same time, random things keep happening on the ranch and the girls know that someone is trying to sabotage them. When Sheriff Braden starts spending more time on the ranch trying to find out who is behind all the problems, he also starts to get closer to London, but this only causes the problems to escalate.
Such a great read. I loved each of the girls stories. They each have such strong and different personalities it makes it so fun to see them up against their matches.
