Lola is being hunted by her past, stalked with every step she takes. Sheltered with the pack of her dreams, at first it seems like the hardest challenge isn’t even staying safe from Indy. Tensions at work are at a tipping point and after taking the role of management’s spy, Lola’s in the crossfire if anything goes wrong. As romances between Lola and the pack members are developing left and … left and right, the woman who swore she wanted nothing to do with alpha is turning to them like a bloom to the sun. If only it weren’t just one monstrous alpha that twisted her own thoughts. Lola is quickly realizing that her worst enemy is herself, and it’s like walking the tightrope to find a balance with the pack that gives her strength rather than sends her toppling to the ground.
But Indy won’t be ignored. One way or another, he’s determined to get his hands on her again. Lola needs more than a pack to shield her. She needs to be ready to fight.

Talk about a book hangover! Kathryn writes Lola’s response to her trauma so so well. Her journey of healing and self love is just one of the reasons we have read this duology multiple times. Seeing Lola overcome her fear of alphas and recognizing that she is important to the pack was so beautiful. We love every single man in this pack, all for multitudes of reasons. We love Leo for immediately realizing how special Lola was, Rake for his easy acceptance and silly charm, Matthieu for grounding Lola and being her rock, Caleb for his calming nature and soothing presence, Cyrus for his tough love and logic, and Wes for his strength and confidence. Of course we both have our favorites but we will never tell!
I don’t know why I put off reading this ending to this duet for so long but here we are, I think the time between books soured the reading experience for me. That’s not the books fault because I was really into Lola and the boys big time. I will be reading more from this author for sure. I think this is more a me being on a downer than the books fault. But I was way more into part 1 than this one. But I loved the relationships between each in the pack and how it ended. (less)
Lola is growing closer to the guys and trying to figure out her relationships with the pack. I liked seeing Lola gain more confidence in herself and figuring out her importance as a beta. I loved that when she needed some space the guys gave it to her and supported her. In the midst of all this, Indy is ramping up his efforts to get Lola back. I really loved the resolution with her. Also the introduction of Eve is making me look forward to Bad Alpha – I can’t wait to see her story. 🙂
In my top reads for 2020
I left a pretty lengthy review on book 1 (which was my favorite of the duology) so this one will be shorter. Book two is great continuation of the story and I want to take a minute to thank Kathryn Moon for doing something truly unique and releasing both parts at the same time. That was such a gift. I’m definitely growing weary of waiting months for each new installment for the various series that I have started. By the time the new book releases you feel like you have to start over with the last book(s) to remember where you are picking up from. Sometimes I just lose interest and never continue with the story. This was very smart to release the full story. Thank you!
For this second book, it wasn’t quite as intense or HOT but the relationship development and emotional growth for Lola was great in this second book. When I look at the duology as a whole it was such a great read and still sits at the top of my reads so far in 2020. As a standalone I would rate this book with 4 stars but for the story as a whole it is a 5-star read for me. In fact…I have quite the book hangover from this series. I can’t seem to stop re-reading it. I’m afraid to start anything new for fear it couldn’t possibly capture me the way this one did. Not sure what to do.
Good job Kathryn!
Emotional, exciting, and powerful, this is exactly how I describe Lola’s transformation and growth in this book. It was emotional because Lola had been through something awful and her feelings just literally soaked every page of both parts of this story. Exciting on two fronts because of the stalking and her trying to overcome her trauma, but also her developing relationship with her pack. Powerful, because Lola did the work and put herself out there for love to the sixth power, and I guess the subliminal message could be construed as believing that your happiness is in your own hands, and possibly that by sharing the load it is easier to get over it. I enjoyed all of the layers of this story, Lola’s renewed friendship with Baby was a bonus, her transformation and taking back her strength, and realizing that everyone has self-doubts, but they are manageable if you allow yourself to deal with it. Yes, I know that it’s over the top with all the perfect guys for the one girl, one perfectly broken woman, but it is fictional, and it was beautiful! Lola went through so much and the author gave a decent representation of what a traumatized woman would go through and what she needed to grow. I do wonder now about Eve and if she and Baby take her up on her invitation, or if Eve turns up in any possible future books that I will surely want to read too. I was locked in from book one, and you need to read part one to get the most out of book two, and probably read Baby’s story before you read Lola’s too, but honestly, they’re all worth the time!
This book is full of character growth, steamy scenes, and drama. Dark elements of a stalker and having to go through the PTSD that Lola has was nicely done. I like how the book ended and how the characters came together.
KM brings her readers back to one of my fav characters – Lola. The author does a wonderful job of showing this character in all her broken glory, for she is a shiny example of all of us deep down with her insecurities and issues, her baggage and pain, her hope and fears. This character bleeds to be more but in a society than decides who you are based on your designation, it’s hard to keep fighting against the world let alone yourself.
This book, no this series, teaches us you are more than what others define you as. Be uniquely you. As hokey (using my mom’s wordage here) as that sounds, it is something that you don’t see in the omegaverse trope.
You of course will see lots of steamy scenes and passion, action and drama. It’s a really feel, all-around good book
OH.MY.GODS!! I love love loved this book!!!! Lola is really coming into her own and her pack, though her problems with her past makes an ugly appearance. But in the end we get our freaking happy ending she so richly deserves. I’m going to miss her an her pack. The bookhangover is beating at the doors.
If you love sweetness, hope, love and enough hotness to burn out the sun, then this is the series for you!
I really loved this story. And how the main character grew through the books. I highly recommend this 2 book series. So so good.
I absolutely love this duology. I loved the writing, the characters, the romance and was everything I wanted. Lola’s journey was extraordinary and her men were perfect. The plot was a bit shaky but since this was a more character and romance driven story the plot wasn’t as important in my opinion. I congratulate this author on her great writing skills and hope I can read more of her books.
So I said this in my review for book 1 and I will say it again here, I will not do this book justice with my review, but I will try and convey how moved I was and how lost in the amazing story I was for many days (I drew it out as rewards for work and tasks I needed to complete, I seriously didnt want it to end and it was a huge motivator!!).
In book 2 of Lola and her pack’s story, we get to see her spending more time with the alphas and finally bonding and joining the pack. I loved each and every one of their dates/bonding ceremonies. So freaking hot, but so emotionally satisfying and vulnerable. I couldn’t stop thinking about Matt, Wes, and Caleb. I think they stole my heart in this one, especially Wes. I loved the castle part!! Made me cry with happiness at the end haha. Those kind of touches are what make a story so amazing; you get emotional with some of the “small things” and not just the gut wrenching parts. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I cried in this one. The things Lola had to go through, reliving things, having to really dig deep to move on from it and be stronger from all her horrible experiences. This is the kind of MC I want to reading about. This is part of an omegaverse but it has real world issues, that transcend alpha, beta, and omega. So moving, just incredible
I will say the work aspect of the plot really made the book not feel big at all, since it was fun and quirky, and there was drama to keep us interested the whole time. I loved Lola’s ideas, how she got involved with her new ideas. Loved how she took her hardships and feelings as a beta and helped everyone to see that not every is equal represented, that others have similar hang-ups as she had and they needed to be addressed. The espionage and clique part of the magazine was fun too (I really loved the make-up and photo shoot scene from book 1, even if a horrible character has my name hahahaha).
Again, I won’t ruin too much in my review haha, but I will highlight some of my favorite moments and why you should be already reading this book. The different personalities in this pack really work to show how Lola fits in and helps them grow into a more cohesive. I loved the heat scene in book 1, but I loved some of the cuddle sessions more in book 2. I mean, the sex and high heat was SO EFFING GOOD!!! The theater scene (I loved how caring and thoughtful Caleb was, but showing his naughty side was the icing on the cake!). The crosswords with Wes, Lola getting Rake to see how his actions affected her (and them making up!), Matt’s gentle but feisty sides haha. Cyrus I think kinda got the raw end of this deal to be honest. We did get some amazing scenes from him and loved the D/S aspect, but we finally got to him towards the wrap up of the book. I kinda wish he got some more time with Lola in book 1 that wasn’t work related, but it was ok because the other 5 guys and their scenes were absolutely perfect haha. Oh and if you like some M/M, there are some scenes that will whet your appetite, since Rake, Leo, Caleb and Cyrus have those bonds already established.
I loved the ending so much, more tears of happiness and giggling. I felt like I was Lola for a second. I don’t get that often when reading (or even at all). Like her happiness and love were so infectious I couldn’t help feeling the same. I know, Lola is only real in the pages, but Kathryn did such a good job of making me love this world and these characters that for a split second, they felt real.
I feel like I am rambling at this point, but like I said in book 1’s review….highly highly recommend. 1000000%. I couldn’t get enough of these characters and hope Kathryn continues to read more spinoffs so we can get more cameos from some of my favorite characters.
Go pick up this duology. You will not be disappointed whatsoever (just be prepared for a huge book hangover and to lose loads of time since they both are big books and are hard to put down!)
The emotional ebb and flow of this narrative is a gut punch of reality, cushioned in a dynamic, alternative world where instincts rule and scents can make or break a society.
Part two in Lola’s story picks up where part one leaves off, dropping up back into the heart and mind of an insecure Beta trying to find her place, and her heart, among the Alpha pack determined to claim her. With an Omega and a Beta already bonded and sealed into the ranks, her addition feels superfluous, though its everything that Lola is scared to want, especially when her past is reaching out harsh fingers to remind her that batting above her paygrade is a dangerous idea. But the heart wants what the heart wants, and the pack wants her…. and she desperately wants them all as well.
While obviously a fantasy, this book still plays truthful with trauma, allowing the emotion to stew and percolate in ways many may find familiar. It doesn’t’ shy away from the reality of sorrow and pain, instead, it pays respect to the journey, and respects the reader enough to know that we’ll understand her path…. and want to read about it. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Lola, this world, her pack, and seeing Baby and her Howlers again? Perfection.
A 5 star read I can’t recommend enough.
If you didn’t fall in love with the Lola and her men in part one, you will definitely fall hard in this part. This seamlessly continues Lola’s story from part one, in this beautifully crafted and written story. The story made my heart clench in one moment, then gave me warm and fuzzies the next. There is great humor and a wide range of emotions. I really enjoyed this two part story and hope to see more in this sweet omegaverse.
Lola & the Millionaires Part 2 can only be described as a romantic, lush, fantastic read. The plot is layed out so well you feel like you are watching a love story unfold before your eyes. Lola overcomes a traumatic past to embrace the loving relationships her omega, beta, and alphas offer. Watching Lola become an integral part to her pack was so satisfying. The men in her pack will almost definitely become your ultimate book boyfriends :). I cannot recommend this book enough.
With the way the last book ended, I was in pins and needles to see through the development of Lola’s relationship with the rest of the pack and the threat of Indy to them. Part two didn’t disappoint in terms of wrapping up this delicious duet!
I loved how Lola has thrived in the care of her pack. She definitely has come a long way to overcoming her fears. Due to the guys’ patience, and with a little help from Baby and her alphas, she has begun to get back her confidence in her self worth. The angst, drama, suspense, funny and sexy moments was woven seamlessly in the story. I didn’t stand a chance at all. I was sucked right from the beginning. I read this two part story in one sitting, without breaks- that alone is a testament on how good Lola and her millionaire’s story is.
I’m sad that their story has come to an end. I only wish though that this was a three part one- on the account that I didn’t have much of the guys’ POV, especially Cyrus. I would have loved that his relationship, and even Caleb’s, with Lola to be further developed. This doesn’t change the fact that I absolutely adore the hell out of this story, though.
If you haven’t read an omegaverse story yet, I highly recommend to read this series. Can’t wait for more from this world! Hopefully and fingers crossed, it’s about Eve!
In this book Lola has made leaps and bound towards recovery. She finding out all about her self and the hot, sexy, wonderful men who have helped her find the light after being in the dark. As they are helping her she helps them expand as pack together they overcome challenges and end up finding happiness in each other and life. This was another fantastic, amazing read. I loved part one and two so much I reread them right away.
Lola and the Millionaires is a two part series. I am going to include a review for both one and two. I came across this series when I saw part one was out, and I was so thankful that the second one was as well.
Lola is a beta. She has been hurt by a pair of alphas that has left her fearful of all alphas. She likes to keep to her self but sometimes she has to find a hookup at her favorite Beta bar. She cannot stand to be touched but sometimes the loneliness gets to her and she has to have the touch and release that one night stands give. But only with Beta’s. One such night she finds the perfect guy for the night, her need for him great. It is only when she gets a peek at his shoulder that she notices his alpha bite. She panics, he is part of a pack, a pack with an alpha. She leaves, never expecting to see him again. Until she gets a job at the magazine of her dreams. There her life changes. For not only is she living her dream, but she meets her mysterious man and realizes that he could forge a new life for her, with his pack. But there is an alpha from her past, one that makes her want to scream as beautifully for him as she used to, and he will not stop until her gets her back.
I literally could not put my kindle down. I was so hooked on Lola and her guys. Her story got me. So first off I will explain that this is not a shifter series. There are Betas, Omegas and Alphas. But they do not shift. Also there is a lot of mm, mmf, and mm with mmf on the side. I am not a huge fan of mm but if done right, it is a turn on. This was done right. Also I have to say that it was such a twist to have a male as the Omega with four alphas. I really liked this dynamic.
Lola because of what happened to her, yes if you have a trigger you may be weary of this read, she is scared of alphas. That fear I think is what raises their protective instincts and they from the start look out for her. She needed them but did not know if she was good for them. They let her go at her pace and when they pushed she could push back. There was some running on her part, but as she liked to say she has to take a step back and think about things. She got caught up in her head a lot, which we all sometimes second guess what we do.
Now there are two parts, the first one is introducing the characters, and getting the plot going. The second half is her coming to terms that there is several someones who want her for her, messed up mind and all. There are so many levels to this story that I just really could not stop reading. I love Lola and her guys and I love their ending. I have a feeling that you will too.
Whew, did you get another glass of wine after starting Part 2? I know I needed one! I hope you are relaxed, because let’s be honest. YOU are going to bed late tonight. If you can put this book down, mad respect, your discipline is WAY better than mine! In the conclusion of Lola we get to walk with her as she uses the lessons she’s learned and the self reflection she engages in durning Part One; falling in love with her even more as she learns to navigate her new normal. Coming to terms and with, and taking steps to work towards making herself anew with the support and love from her new family, is such an inspirational journey for those of us who also connect with the anxiety, fears, and echos from our own pasts. Lola gives us a positive process to unbox as we follow her journey. That process is, of course all the things you want for a character you relate to. Love, amazing sex, intimacy, and deep connection, all told the way only Kathryn Moon can. Get some more wine, it’s going to be a long night!
This story starts off right where book 1 stopped. Side note I love the dedication Kathryn Moon put at the beginning of the book. Be sure to read it!!
Lola ends up spending more time with the guys as a group and one on one. The scene with Caleb at the opera and their 1st time together is just so well written!! You may need a fan. I just don’t know how you can summarize this unique and amazing story. (That’s how you know I am not an author) But here I go, Lola and her Millionaires get closer together, love each other in such crazy and creative ways, fight a bad guy or guys and live happily ever after. I can’t do this story justice, any summary is to simplistic and what I write just doesn’t cover it all. All I can say is READ this!! You little book heart will thank you!
Where to start….. I love this universe! Baby was fantastic I LOVED her journey but …… Lola dang girl! She has such an epic journey of self discovery and growth! I devoured book 1 and book 2….. I love that we get her happy ever after and her men’z spoil her and pamper her! It’s bloody fan-freaking-tastic!
