Now this was an interesting read. Logan has some guilt about his first marriage. He finds a baby then acquired a women the next day. Jemma comes from a horrible background, She holds so much guilt over it. Now to get the HEA they both need they will have to over come it all.
I loved Logan, Jemma “Missie” and baby Alice’s story. You will not be disappointed in this book. Thank you Margaret Tanner.
Margaret Tanner is a fantastic storyteller. Her books are always full of drama, romance, and emotion.
Logan is no different.
The journey from a heartbroken widower to becoming the father of an abandoned baby is an emotional, yet uplifting one.
I have read practically every book this author has written, and am yet to find one I haven’t enjoyed.
This is the second book in the Bachelors and Babies series. I loved this story too. I loved that Logan our hero finds a little baby in the bushes while he was on the way to his ranch. Then he finds a lactating woman in the jail in town when he went to town to get more canned milk for the baby and someway to feed it too her. The story was out so the mercantile owner told him there was a lactating woman in the jail.
He goes to see her and find a way to get her to come to the ranch to feed the baby and take care of her.
This story has a lot that you would expect in a good story. Adventure, creepy people doing really bad things, people being set for something they didn’t do, and of course romance.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I will be reading more. I highly recommend this story.
Wonderful
Easy five stars
Two people with pasts to overcome. One with amnesia. Wonderful storyline different than others
I usually don’t give five stars to books I can’t recommend tiny advanced preteen reading friends . But this one deserves it.
Because of language ( isn’t Superbad but still curse words) and descriptions of “making out “I’m not comfortable recommending to my advanced preteen friends
Margaret Tanner’s “Logan” is a subtle, multi-textured story of loss, secrets, love, and action. The story moves quickly, taking you into unexpected places, revealing surprising relationships. It’s a heart-warming novel, anchored by an angelic baby and intertwined relationships, both past and present. The characters are well-rounded and three dimensional, and they all face challenges of the heart, as well as the violence of an unscrupulous, powerful villain.
You will cheer on Logan and Jemma as they bond together over the baby, face down threats from every side, and learn to trust one another with their deepest, darkest secrets. I really enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend it.
Widower Logan, still grieving the loss of his beloved wife, Alice, is at a loss when he discovers a baby in the bushes on his ranch. He’s so taken with the innocent baby that he names her Alice, after his dead wife. He tries to take care of her but soon learns it takes more skill than he has. Upon hearing there’s a woman sitting in jail who can feed little Alice, he goes to procure her. Missie breastfeeds little Alice and reveals to Logan she has no memory. Something terrible has happened and she hasn’t a clue what. Can Logan help Missie regain her memory and offer her his love or will the truth rip this little family apart?
I’m not a huge fan of the baby romance genre but in this story, Margaret Tanner writes a beautiful historical western romance that happens to have a baby in it. This story has everything I love in a historical western romance: descriptive narration, heart wrenching characters, redemption theme and very bad antagonists trying to tear the hero/heroine apart. Oh, and a HEA. Gotta have a HEA. Logan, Bachelors and Babies book 2, has all these things and more. I loved the realistic atmosphere of the setting. Back then, times were tough and only the strongest survived. The connection between Logan and Missie endeared me to them both. This story has the right amount of conflict and the ending tugged at my heart strings.
If you love historical western romances, you’ll love this one! Fans of Cynthia Woolf and Kathleen Lawless will want to read this story. Highly recommend!
Favorite Character/Quote: “Not knowing who you are. Where you come from. Maybe the shock of losing my baby brought on the amnesia.”
My Rating: 5 stars
This is Book #2 in the Bachelors and Babies series and is a story of guilt, regrets, secrets, mystery, romance and a HEA. Logan, upon finding a baby girl, decides to keep her but now must find someone to help him care for the child. This is a heart rendering story and one I enjoyed very much. I highly recommend this book…you won’t be disappointed. As always Margaret Tanner weaves a wonderful tale of heartache and love which triumphs all.
When Logan finds a baby girl he’s immediately in love with her and decides to keep her. But taking care for a baby isn’t easy. When he hears of a prisoner who can nurse his girl he takes her to his ranch. Jemma is in prison but can’t remember anything. When Logan shows up she goes with him to help him. Then her memory comes back….and that is just the start of this great story.
This story has all you want from an entertaining read, some mystery, love and a great story line.
It’s part of a new multi author series and I can’t wait to read the other books.
