This is the 6th book in the 7 Brides For 7 Blackthornes series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. Be aware this series is meant to be read in order and can be enjoyed by doing so. Keep in mind there may be spoilers, should you read this prior to previous books.
Logan comes back to the fold, in order to give a vacation to an employee. The family owns many ventures and he is being pushed to choose where he might be involved with just one. What if he wants to run them all?
Piper has known Logan for a long time. They grew up together and even had been friends some time back. As they get to know each other again – they learn they have more in common than they first thought. Also, that it is good to have an opposite to attract.
This story just had a steady pace and the heat between the characters built. I truly think this is a terrific series, and this story was a great addition to it. The characters seem meant for one another from the start, and as the story grew, I could not wait to see where their arc would take me.

Samantha Chase hits another home run with Logan!
I absolutely loved Piper’s character and am so glad that the author had her be a video game designer. Video game designers for the most part are always men and as a IT specialist trying to break into the IT world, I totally related to Piper.
I also loved Logan. He has a big heart and is helpful to his grandmother and Charles. He isn’t afraid to stand up for what he wants.
If you are a fan of romance, you’ll love Logan!
Logan is the baby of the family and so often throughout the book felt overlooked. Up until this book, each brother or cousin played Logan off as easy going, laid back, care free, etc…he is all of those things, but like we all have a habit of doing in our own personal lives, we forget what someone may be feeling on the inside just because of how they portray themselves on the outside. Logan may be easy going, but he is also sensitive and sweet, smart and never willing to give up.
As the youngest Blackthorne life has come relatively easy to Logan. At least that is what his brothers and cousins would say. Logan is laid back, easily distracted, and has the charm rolling off of him to win over anyone standing in his path. Well, that is except his very own father, Graham Blackthorne. His father wants him to settle on a career and he wants that to happen ASAP. The trouble is Logan can’t decide on just one career within the Blackthorne empire, he’s worked in and studied them all. When his father lays down an ultimatum is this the chance to step up or finally walk away and try something new?
Piper is home for the summer, having just finished her master’s in game design. She has a decision to make, take just okay job opportunities with established companies where she would lose her rights to the game she designed games or jump on board and be part of a new company where she kept her rights, but with a company who hasn’t made a name for itself, which is scary in itself. While she’s home she takes a job at the Vault, a Blackthorne local bar, and runs into Logan. They grew up together and as one thing leads to another she asks him to look at her job proposal, as it turns out the man is not just a pretty face, but can their summer fling really be more than that?
With big decisions to make for both Piper and Logan it becomes clear that they are headed in opposite directions. While their time home was fun, that’s all it could ever be because Logan is a playboy who lives a carefree life, while Piper is a game designer with a carefully constructed life plan.
Whenever I’m in the mood for a good romance that gives me warm and fuzzles and leaves a smile on my face, I know I can count on this lady to deliver, and she definitely delivers with this one! I absolutely love Piper and Logan, but I especially love them together!
Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers and he hasn’t yet found where he wants to settle in the family businesses. He heads to Maine for a few weeks to fill in for the manager at the family’s pub/restaurant. The first night there, he finds himself taken with a particular waitress, only to realize she’s the daughter of his family’s groundskeeper and they practically grew up together, at least during the summers his family spent in Maine.
This story is absolutely charming, with an engaging storyline, delightfully endearing characters, loads of humor and low on angst. Yes, Logan is struggling a bit to find his place, but we know he’ll figure things out and rather than worrying, the reader eagerly cheers him on. And he and Piper together are just so much darn fun! They’re perfect for each other, their bantering exchanges are hilarious, and their video gaming rivalry are some of the best scenes in the book. Their story is witty, heart warming and endearing, and you absolutely can’t go wrong with this one!
*I read an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
This was the first book in this series that I have read, and it was great. Logan is the youngest Blackthorne and even though he knows all the Blackthorne businesses he really can’t settle on one that he wants to work for. So he agrees to go up to Maine and run ‘The Vault’ while the manager is on vacation. Piper’s father works as the groundskeeper for the Blackthorne Estate and has grown up alongside the Blackthorne brothers her whole life. She is trying to decide what to do with her future and decides to go back to stay with her father while she thinks about it. She takes a job as a waitress at the Vault to earn some money while she figures out what to do. I really liked this book, Logan has the reputation of a playboy and serial dater, but is he really just looking for the right person? Piper is a success in a male dominated industry, and knows how to stand her ground, maybe a little too much sometimes. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
If you haven’t met the Blackthorne men yet then you really need to. I love how each author is bringing their own special touch to this series. Yes, they can be read as a standalone but why would you want to miss out on any of them. This is Logan’s book and Samantha Chase just brings it with the sweet and a little sexy too. She will have you giggling at times too. Logan is the youngest and still trying to find his own direction within the Blackthorne empire. I love how he just doesn’t settle for anything unless he is happy. His relationship with his grandma is so sweet. I really love him and Piper together. Piper, she is just a delight and won’t just settle for any job. I love how she is with her dad and Logan’s grandma. Piper is just amazing. I really loved reading Logan. I couldn’t put this one down.
I’m totally in love with this book and of course, Logan and Piper. From the beginning, with their banter and watching them hang out and ‘date’ and of course things don’t always go smoothly, that would be too easy. I really enjoyed Piper, she was definitely an amazing heroine and kept Logan on his toes, which is how it should be. However, these two just really clicked and I liked how in the end Logan got to do what he really wanted to do and Piper got her dream as well. The other person I fell in love with and who was such a great part of this story was Fiona. Everyone needs a Fiona in their life. I’d definitely love to hang out with her. Great Story! One of my favorite lines was, “Never be afraid to leave your comfort zone. Otherwise, you never know what you’re going to mis out on.” Can’t wait to see how Trey does with his mission.
This is the 6th installment in this series and each can be read as a standalone. Logan is the youngest of the Blackthorne brothers and cousins and he is having a crisis of identity and having a hard time figuring out where he wants to settle as his career and feeling the pressure to make a decision. He has always excelled at whatever he does and right now he is back in Kings Harbor to fill in at the Vault. Piper Stewart is the caretaker’s daughter and she has come home to work and visit with her father while making life decisions and who would have thought those life decisions would include Logan! What starts as a flirt turns into a friendship and then into a fling and soon into so much more. Just when Logan thinks he cannot take the pressure of making a decision with his life, he is push to make that decision. Loved this one!
5 Star review Logan (7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes #6) by Samantha Chase
This has been a great series to read and I am sad to see it coming to an end. I have become rather invested in the Blackthorne men and the women that receive their love. Each story has been written by a different author and I love the variety of writing styles. This is a friends to lovers story that drew me in from the start and kept me entertained throughout.
Logan is the youngest Blackthorne and to me is a little lost as to what he wants to do with the rest of his life. His father is pushing him to decide on the position he wants within the Blackthorne empire and I felt for him as the pressure mounted.
When Logan meets up again with Piper Stewart, the groundskeeper daughter and a friend from his childhood, he is shocked to see just how grown up Piper has become. Piper is back to visit her father and decide what she wants to do now that she has graduated. The attraction and chemistry between Logan and Piper is intense but the question is whether these two can become lovers without destroying their friendship?
I loved seeing Logan stand up to his father and his support of Piper and her dreams, it was a swoon worthy moment.
This is a well written, funny, romantic, passionate read which drew me in and captivated me with the strong writing. Add in the matriarch of the family and you have one heck of a great read.
This was a fun story!! My favorite part in this story was when Logan first spots Piper and doesn’t recognize her. I LOVED that scene. I also liked the “video gaming” start up company plot through out the story, it was very interesting. While reading this I laughed, had a few exciting moments and swooned over the love that happened between Piper & Logan. Can’t wait to read the next story!
This is a beautifully written story with amazing characters that lured me in from the get-go. I am going to have to go read about the other Blackthorne men after this amazing story about Logan. I love Logan and Piper and they are just so good for each other. They may seem like an unlikely pair at first but as they hang out and spend time together we see how good they are and could be together. They’ve known each other for years but it has been years since they’ve seen each other and now there is an attraction that is something new for them to face. Both are back in King Harbor to basically find themselves and figure out where they want go with their careers but neither planned on the other becoming such an important part of those decisions. This story is sweet, sexy, witty, charming and emotional; all the things I love in a Samantha Chase book.
Logan and Piper seem like an unlikely pair but when put together they are explosive (just like some video games out there). I love that Piper isn’t afraid to stand her ground and not be intimidated by a male industry or Logan. I guess I will have to read more of the 7 Brides for 7 Blackthornes to learn more about Graham but he is an interesting character to me. Also I really want to hang out at the Vault.
This series has been an absolute delight so far! Each of the characters have struggled with the Blackthorne identity & their father’s personality. I really love the seamless way each story leads the way to the next one. You really don’t have a true sense of the author change because the tone & language is so similar.
Logan has worked in every area of the company & has enjoyed them all. He just can’t decide which area he wants to land in for good. His dad gives him an ultimatum – make a decision or I’ll decide for you.
Piper has come home to make a decision. She has the chance of a lifetime, joining her friends in starting up a game design company. As amazing as it sounds, she’s afraid they’ll fail & then what will she do? Plus it’s on the other side of the country! She hopes her dad will give her some good advice while she’s home. She didn’t plan on Logan messing with her mind. With her deadline approaching, what will she do?
Piper & Logan both have difficulty reaching for what they deserve. Piper is afraid of failure. Logan is afraid of boredom & letting down his brothers. They both have an issue with communication. The chemistry is intense & consuming. I love the interactions with the rest of the Blackthorne family & with Piper’s father. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Logan and Piper know each other all their lives, but they didn’t see each other for a while. Now she is done with college and back home before making decision about her life. Logan is back to King Harbor to oversee The Vault – their bar, while manager is on vacation. Piper works at The Vault during her stay at home. When those two start spending time together, sparks fly. Both of them knows their relationship has an end date. Would they dream about forever?
Mrs. Chase wrote another amazing book. Characters are great, storyline is awesome
This book is a part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. After reading Logan I want to read other books in the series.
I truly enjoyed reading this book!
Logan is an engaging, feel good
& sexy romance. Great characters
& romance makes the perfect read.
Logan & Piper, are both at a crossroads
in life. Where is the best place within the Blackthorne divisions for him to choose.
She just graduated. Now it’s time choose
the best job for her & her future.
I loved everything about the book!
Logan Piper steal your heart from
the very first pages to the last!!
Logan has returned home to Maine to help out for a few weeks at the Vault, when he runs into Piper. Piper is the caretakers daughter and all grown up. Logan is known as a player, Piper is only home for a short time until her business of gaming is off the ground, so what’s wrong with a little fling. Which is fine until their hearts get involved.
Loved this book!! Logan finally finds out what he really wants in life with a little help from Piper. Great characters with plenty of banter, romance and emotions that will keep you turning the pages. Loved Nana, always has words of wisdom to hand out.
This is the sixth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. But now I want to go back and read the other stories. I highly recommend. I could not put down until done.
Logan is absolutely swoonworthy!!
A sweet story, not as much grit as other stories in this series.
However, it does blend well and shows that all families have a broad set of dynamics.
Another fun installment! Piper is a great character and a good foil for Logan. I liked the interplay between the two and their interactions with Nana. A good read!
Being the
Youngest has not always been easy for Logan, but he has made sure to know the there is to know about the family business. He is home working at the Vault for his yearly time and flirts with Piper. She is working there until she figured out to do about going into business with her friends or not. They just seem to come together.
