When Darren Ault meets his friend Lee McCaskill for dinner, he doesn’t expect the second course to be a gunshot to the head. Even more unexpected is the fact that the bullet doesn’t kill him–instead, it causes the rest of humanity to vanish. Darren’s attempted murder has caused a temporal paradox extending back over a thousand years, and now it’s up to him to repair the damage.Embarking on a … mind-bending journey through time, Darren encounters Vikings, a depressed Norwegian silversmith, an insane highwayman, a cult that believes in salvation through pain, a beautiful Hebridean lass, and Archibald Fischer–the foul-mouthed, Kurt Cobain-worshiping Head Librarian of the Library of Timelines, where all of the possibilities that could ever happen are catalogued, tracked, and managed.

An interesting twist on time travel books.
A very different kind of time travel story.
good author books are hit and miss.
Lots of unanswered questions about how things work, or are made to happen. But with time travel stories there are always problems. It kept my interest and had a good story with a “Gotcha” surprise at the end. Worth reading.
Good read
An interesting take on time travel. Just be careful when recommending this title to a friend. My friend thought I had lost my mind after reading another book titled Lock & Key which was DEFINETLY not about time travel.
Good read
I don’t read a whole lot of science fiction, but this one piqued my interest. And once I got into it, I got hooked. I found it original, fascinating, whimsical premise. Time travel is such a fun topic, and intriguing with all the possible disruptions. Would like to see this as a series with other ‘travelers.’
Funny in a not-meant-to-be-humor kind of way. Nice interpretation of the issues associated with temporal paradoxes and how they could ultimately affect the future of mankind.
An entertaining & very different story.
A thrilling story. What an imagination. Loved it.
Good Read! Time travel never fails!
Very original plot
I liked the way the main character grew as a person and there were some very interesting twists along the way. A quite enjoyable read. A little sad that there doesn’t seem a path to follow these folks into another book but I did enjoy the ending.
I did not care for this book at all. I kept waiting for the story to evolve and it just kept circling around. I considered deleting it many times but was optimistic that there would eventually be something solidly interesting. Not the case right up to the end.
Mind twisting on the physics of the Butterfly effect. Keeps you guessing.
A good read, surprise ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed this looping tour through a time paradox. This enjoyable trip ended up right where it should have. That’s quite a Library they have.
Clever story with an impossible ending. If you like time travel stories, this one is a good choice. I found the ending somewhat disappointing, but the overall story was entertaining enough to make up for that (in my opinion) shortcoming.
Fun easy read.
