I’m the Sergeant-At-Arms for the Demented Sons MC. A year ago my life went to shit, and every priority I ever had changed. Being a single dad on the run was never on my radar, but that was the hand I was dealt.I didn’t think shit could get worse. Then fate dumped a raven-haired beauty in my lap, and all hell broke loose.Trying to keep my two-year-old daughter and a hot mess of a woman alive while … of a woman alive while still protecting my club threw my adrenaline into overdrive. Strung tight, danger coming at us from all directions, I faltered…
That was the only excuse I had for what happened next.

Although they met under different circumstances, but the sparks flies fast for them. One is in a lot of deep pain from losing the one he loved and the other is running away to go in hiding. They may not have started the right way but that kind of love is a love that comes once in a lifetime. Phenomenal read author Kristine Allen, it’s definitely worth the 5 stars.
This. Book. Is. Everything
This dark and twisted MC tale was filled with so many nail biting moments, I was on the edge of my seat until the very end. I fell in love with Lock and Raiven, but it was little Presley that stole the show. I look forward to reading more in this entertaining series.
This was and amazing book to start a new series with Locke who is raising his daughter alone because her mother had passed in a accident moved to Texas for a change. Only on the way he told one of his brothers he would help deliver something to the club there. Only he didn’t expect it to be a woman. Ravin who he can’t believe he is interested in. This is an amazing story of the. Trying to fight to have their happy ever after once they both admit they have feelings. Can’t wait for the others in the series. I highly recommend this book.
Lock lost his woman but is doing his best to raise his two year old daughter despite all the hurdles he has faced in town. Lock decides he needs to stop being surrounded by the ghosts of her memories and the constant interference from a rival club, he makes plans to change chapters and head to Texas . When his close friend Pops asks him for a favor to haul something while making his trip he agrees but what he doesn’t expect is it to be a stunning beauty named Raiven.
Lock doesn’t need or want the distraction. Since the first time he lost his ol lady, he wants someone with a passion and it does not sit well with him. However, when he sees her with his daughter and despite the sass she throws his way he knows that the two of them are going to wind up together. On the way though something happens that could end up with one of them losing their life. With the help of his new club Lock and Raiven have a fighting chance, now they need to get everyone on board including themselves.
First off, I am not sure how I have never discovered this author. Thanks to Lola Wright for posting one of her books on her FB page. I loved this, it is one of those books you pick up and the day is gone because you cannot put down. Lock is a complex character with a heavy heart full of guilt and this author writes in such a way you feel every ounce of his pain. With Raiven she is unsure of where her footing is with Lock and you sense her being torn between hope and a heartbreak. All the side characters are fascinating. I immediately after putting this one down picked up Styx book and am done with that so onto Smoke’s next. Excellent series so far.
Kristine has done is again with this new chapter of the Demented Sons MC. I love Madlock and little Presly. This book will keep you one the edge of your seat. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for the Texas chapter.
**Audio review**
I can listen to Eric all day long Kylie and Eric did an amazing job narrating. I’ve read the book and listen to the audiobook and they’re both outstanding. Kristin has me hooked. can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.
This was a fantastic read, one that’ll move you, hitting you in the feels and have you on edge. Lock and Raiven have one hell of a story, one you won’t want to miss.
I absolutely love Lock and Raiven’s story. Love the banter between the two of them and the fireworks. An intense story line that will keep you flipping the pages and the ending had me tearing up.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Lock and Load by Kristine Allen. The author can certainly weave a story that kept me engaged throughout the book. I really liked Lock and Raiven as a couple and as individuals. I adored Presley. I like it when children are part of the story. The book had a nice flow to it. There is twists and turns that kept me interested in the story. I also liked the secondary characters. They added rather than distract from the book. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of the series, Styx and Stones. Kudos to Kristine Allen!
Absolutely loved this book! The writing is amazing and the author has a way of drawing you in and making you feel. I couldn’t put it down and have now made it to the final book in the series. So good and one I could read over and over!
Back with the Demented Sons MC! I am so excited that Kristine decided to bring the MC back, but with a twist through another chapter while also providing the familiarity with starting off through our beloved original chapter. Lock thought he had his life on track by finding the woman he loved and an adorable daughter that made his life full. But when a deadly accident happens and he’s left to pick up the pieces and for himself and his daughter, the grief becomes too much and he decides to transfer to another chapter to give him and his daughter a fresh start. Raiven is running away from a horrible relationship where her only option is to run. With the help from her aunt and uncle, she meets up with Lock and unbeknownst to him, he will help get her to the same chapter he’s headed to restart her life as well. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned and Raiven’s past catches up to them, with a twist involving Lock’s past as well. The suspense in the twist and how this one person involves both Lock and Raiven really had me captivated – Kristine’s storytelling really pulls you in and keeps you reading. The combination of Lock and Raiven and their personalities make for a level of comedy within the book because they butt heads so much, and the added cuteness factor involving Lock’s daughter really add to it as well. Overall, the suspense in this story and the revelations really threw me and I became Team Lock for good. Love these stories and can’t wait for the next from Kristine!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I am so excited for this new MC series from Kristine! Her last was amazing and this one does NOT disappoint! Ms Allen is quite a gifted writer and that shines through in this book. Lock and Raven do not get off to a stellar start. They are both running and have a ton of baggage to endure. Through many twists and turns this couple gets put through the ringer and then some. Read to find out if they find their happiness together!!! You will just love both Lock and Raven! Get your copy today!!
“He was absolutely, positively my greatest and worst addiction.”
This is my second Kristine Allen read. First a rocker and now a biker…sigh. Those are my top tropes and now I’m addicted to her writing. She seems to be reading my mind and giving me exactly what I enjoy the most, but better than I hoped for. And did you see the cover? IKR? I’m sure I’m not the only one with a bad case of #CoverLust.
Ladies, let me warn you, your ovaries are in danger of exploding when you get a taste of this sexy, tattooed, badass biker with his little girl. She’s beyond adorable and has him along with his brothers wrapped around her little finger. She had me smiling so hard my face hurts.
He might consider the raven-haired beauty a hot mess, but I beg to differ. I think it’s him that ends up being a hot mess when he meets her. She’s stunning and sexy and doesn’t cower when he acts like a jerk. She throws her sass right back at him and leaves him with more than he bargained for. He claims he wants nothing to do with her… but it’s a lie. What fun I had waiting for him to give in to the lust she makes him feel. Their chemistry is sizzling!
“If you want me saying your name, give me a reason to say it. Better yet, give me a reason to scream it.”
Since I’m late to the Demented Sons MC party, I read Lock and Load as a standalone. But, I most definitely plan to go back and read the others. There were quite a few characters that I’d like to get to know better. The line forms here…
